I understand I'm a new member here though the page keeps saying "you have less than 10 posts" and wont let me reply to a topic...
Is there a time limit before you can post in certain sections, rather than just a post count?
Same question here. Do we need activaion to post to Dev forum?
Thanks
Mike

Old thread silly.

First to be clear, I do not spend every waking minute I have trolling around XDA reading anything and everything that is posted. I hardly have time for that. I did a quick search and didn't find anything about this, so now I'm asking. What is the deal with MIUI on Sensation? It seems that all of the sudden even mentioning it is forbidden. I have seen multiple threads closed, and posts deleted, as if MIUI was off limits all of the sudden. I need a bit of clarification here.

Just paste that after the normal url, I can't share links yet. That should clarify a bit
More info in this thread. Seems like this is still a developing issue. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1262625
I know about that whole fiasco, but It was stated clearly by some mod that posting anything MIUI up was against the rules. Now I see no MIUI development what so ever going on, and for the life of me, I can't understand why.

Jesus people, can't we just get along?
Why i can't POST REPLY thread in this forum..?
please help me
Thanx
you can't reply to specific thread until you get 10 comments, rules to evitate spam i think....
same problem here ,
I don't like the 10 post rule, it kinda forces you to post random stuff in order to get out the stuff you really wanted to post -.-

Help me to resolve that problem. Thanks.

I cannot reply so i edit my post.
@kriticar: Did you see my post count man? Thanks for your reply.
Well there is a rule that prevents new users to post directly to the developer's forums.
Idea is good, but if you are just a new user not a novice, it's a bit stupid.
Anyway, you have to post 10 posts to the general or q&a forums.
Probably you will end up asking some silly questions until you reach those 10 posts, but rules are rules.
Regards.
May I ask what browser you are using? This could be the problem.

Yes 10 posts so they can be sure you've done your fair share of reading the forums. A lot of redundant posts would be clogging up the blogs without the limit.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but don't you have to have ten posts, before it will let you post to every forum/thread?

It was hard to read your post (the text is small), so if I misread it, my apologies.

Hard but true, 10 posts to be allowed
You need to reply to at least ten posts here prior to being eligible to post in general population.
Great way to get everyone actively participating in threads.

Maybe you need to logoff / logon after 10 posts? Trying with a test account
Reply limit in DF
Hello. That reply limit to post in the developers section is pure crap.
An idiot can post 100 times with "hello" and then write anything in the developer's forums.
I was searching for an answer to my problem and I only found users with the same problem, asking for help.
I found the solution to their problem on my own (some ROM's are just missing Busybox, etc.), but I cannot post it there because of that rule. Since I'm not an active user of your forums, I guess you're not missing much with me )
Too bad for them. I won't bother to post ten times just to be able to help them.
+1 here )
Enjoy and rethink your rules. Cya.
Tks

Actually not, someone who posted "hello" would likely be spotted and reported fairly quickly long before 100 posts and have their posts deleted by one of the mods. The rules are in place to prevent spam for the most part, but it also tries to get people to become active and contributing community members in order to understand the types of posts that belong in the dev threads and which types of posts don't before they start asking all of their support questions there where they don't really belong.
There are lots of other forums out there, but none as good as XDA. Hopefully your attitude about being a community member will be improved if you come back. We will be right here.

Hi. Just to see if have right to post here...
u need min 10 posts and then i think u have to relogin.
G'day peeps.
I've been looking through some of the development pages for OPPO Find 5 and noticed a couple of broken links. Since I'm more of a lurker and use these boards for information and found that I don't need to post that often I haven't reached my first 10 posts yet and thus cannot ask OP to fix the broken URL.
So my question, if I find broken links, should I report the post to the moderators instead?
The post in itself doesn't need to be moderated and the moderators will most likely be unable to fix the broken link so feels like a bad option.
The other option I have though is to post 10 posts just to get the privilege to contribute to the developer sections. Which also feels like bad way to go. In general I approve of this 10 post rule, but in my case it is just a hassle since it is such a small think I want to point out.
Thanks in advance.
