i have the root files on my sd card
i have visionary r11 and r14
i have terminal emulator
these are the steps i used
open visionary, check "Set system r/w after root" on
run temproot
open terminal and entered
su - got super user
cd / sdcard/root
sh root.sh
wait til its done and tells me to turn off phone.
holding volume down+power to get into the hboot.. it still says s-on... ive done this many times... still not working..
i dont have root manager, so it seems i cant use the other methods like gfree
anyone knows/sees what im doing wrong?
Here are the steps I used (MyTouch 4g with bootloader version 0.86.0000)
1. Turn USB Debugging mode ON, turn Fastboot OFF (settings-> applications -> development)
2. Install & open Visionary r14, check "set system r/w"
3. Click "temproot now", wait for it to do its thing.
4. Make sure the temproot was successful (download root explorer or something that requires root privileges and make sure it pops up saying "such and such was granted superuser permission")
5. Get Android SDK for your PC, install all the add-ons.
6. Connect phone to PC, making sure debugging mode is still enabled (you don't have to switch it to Disk Drive mode, just connect)
7. Allow ALL drivers to install (in Windows, it'll pop up saying "Device is ready to use" when it's done)
8. Get gfree, put it in the root directory of your phone's SD card (switch Disk Drive mode on temporarily for this, obviously).
9. On your PC, navigate to the folder where Android SDK is (in Windows, it's C:/Program Files/Android/android-sdk)
10. Hold down Shift, right-click the folder called "platform-tools", click "Open command window here"
11. In command window, type "adb devices" to make sure everything's working fine so far. If so, you'll see your device listed.
12. Still in the command window, type "adb push gfree /data/local"
13. Back on the phone, install terminal emulator
14. In terminal emulator, type "su" and hit enter
15. After it says "Terminal Emulator has been granted superuser permissions", type the following: "cd /data/local" and hit enter
16. Type "chmod 777 gfree" and hit enter
17. Type "./gfree -f" and hit enter - It'll runs something and immediately reboot here. Now you can check your hboot and you should have S-Off
18. Once the phone boots back up, run Visionary again to get temproot.
19. Now that you have root privileges, run Visionary yet again, but click "Attempt Permroot Now"
20. Let Visionary do its thing and you should be permrooted with S-Off!
AWESOME thanx..
i did this and the first time it worked.. i avoided this before coz it took soo long to download all the drivers... i just let it download overnight..
now have perma root and the engineering bootloader.. haha...
Root Files
what root files did you use and where did you get them?? sorry im really new to the phone modding
I've just rooted my Nexus 5 but when I open apps like Superuser it displays the following issues (see attached files). I verified my root status with the Root Checker App as well and it shows roughly the same problem. I've have attached some screenshots. I'm sorry but my language is Italian.
How did you root it ?
Perhaps you missed something

I hate Superuser personaly and would advice you to unroot and uninstall the superuser app and flash the superSU.zip 1.94 in recovery. Link http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu.

I don't like at all that in stock android you have only a certain number of toggles, so I've searched the web in order to find a way to add more of them. I've found first the Cyanogenmod, then the Xposed Framework. I've read that I have to root my device to do that, so I've searched the web again in order to find the easiest way to root it without strange methods. I've found a post in the CM forum which explained to me how to root my Nexus 5 with terminal commands, so I followed it.
I can't post links yet, so here's the content of the CM forum page:
Configure your computer for fastboot.
Enable USB debugging on the device.
Connect the device to the computer through USB.
From a terminal on a computer, type the following to boot the device into fastboot mode:
$ adb reboot bootloader
Once the device is in fastboot mode, verify your PC sees the device by typing fastboot devices
If you don't see your device serial number, and instead see "<waiting for device>", fastboot is not configured properly on your machine. See fastboot documentation for more info.
If you see "no permissions fastboot", try running fastboot as root.
From the same terminal, type the following command to unlock the bootloader:
$ fastboot oem unlock
A disclaimer will display on the device that must be accepted. Use the volume keys to cycle through the options. Pressing the power button should confirm your selection.
If the device doesn't automatically reboot, reboot it from the menu. It should now be unlocked. You can confirm this is the case if you see an unlocked icon at the bottom of the Google boot screen during reboots.
Since the device resets completely, you will need to re-enable USB debugging on the device to continue.
To root my phone I tried countless methods and apps and I don't know how many hours I spent for searching proper root method. But Finally I managed to do it myself.
Disclamer:I will not be responsible for any kind of damages to your devices, although it is less likely to happen.
Note: This method puts "root" word on your boot splash screen.
This method is for Coolpad Dazen 1 8297L-I00 (Released in India)
Please read the whole post before actually following.
Download:
Busybox, Terminal Emulator from playstore and Kinguser/Kingroot apk from http://www.kingroot.net/wap/download for your phone
And iRoot For your PC/Laptop from http://products.mgyun.com/api/downjump?id=4321 official web http://www.mgyun.com
You only need internet for downloading above files and after that You can disable it.
PROCEDURE FOR ROOT:
Part 1- Acquiring improper/temporary root or shopuld I say su binary
#1- Enable USB Debugging -Go to setting>About Phone>Phone Config info and Tap 5-6 time on build number to unlock Developer options Then get back in main Settings and under developer option enable usb debugging and allow mock location
#2- Install iroot on your Pc and launch it and connect your phone to your PC via usb.
#3- Within Few Seconds there will be a popup on your phone asking to allow USB debugging Tick on the Always allow from this computer and select OKAY
#4- Wait for sometime then on iroot software click on settings (gear Icon) on the top right corner
#5- On this screen there will be three rows of icons, Click on the second icon of second row (Anchor)
#6- After that a new screen and a dialog will appear Click on the button to remove the dialog
#7- And now click on the green button on the right bottom corner to begin the root process.
#8- If successful there will a smiling cartoon on Pc and phone will reboot. Now move to Part 2.
#9- If not then phone will not reboot and there will be a sad cartoon on Pc. Now click on the green button below that cartoon to retry.
#10- Keep repeating the 9th step untill you get success It could Take upto 9 or ten retries.
Now you should have gained su binary in your phone's /system/xbin/ and if you are lucky after rebooting you haven't lost the kingroot software.
Try su command in terminal emulator if you get '#' sign you are rooted and no need to go further but if after entering su you dont get any response neither '#' nor '$' Then keep going to part-2
Part 2- Making kinguser stay installed
#1- Install the previously downloaded kinguser.apk
#2- Open busybox and grant it root permission and there will be an option to install select it.
#3- after successfully installing busybox open Terminal emulator type the following command, if you are stuck on the previously typed su then either close the window or open new window and type following.
Code:
su
chattr +ia /data/app/com.kingroot.kinguser-1.apk
Now, if after typing the above commands you get'#' in response you are successfull. To check restart your phone you'll see kinguser is still there and working.
Tip: Take a backup of /system partition, just in case you later need it, type following command in terminal emulator
Code:
su
tar -c /system/*>> /storage/sdcard1/system.tar
If in this post I have broken any rules please let me know because this is the first time I am posting a tutorial on XDA

good work mate.. is there unroot option also available in iroot did you try that? i haven't had experience with that app

yes there is, And I have tried that. it does it's job. It removes the su binary and kingroot/superuser app from the system.
but the thing is,
once you have rooted with kingroot (when the root word is put on your boot screen), I am not exactly sure about this but as far as I have learned this method makes changes in the kernel/boot.img to put the root word on the boot splash screen and perhaps it could be why after installing ota update peoples devices gets in bootloop or either bricked
So, if anyone could get a device which is not rooted (not even attempted to root using kingroot or any other method which changes bootsplash screen) should take a backup of it first and also if possible upload for others
Word root appears on boot screen by making changes in params . it is the partition that contains boot logo in our phone... It has nothing to do with kingroot. root will appear if u root your device its coolpad's work.

How to remove SuperSU on unrooted phone? - "there is no SU binary installed..."
Hi,
I lost some SMS data. I tired to use data recovery software. One of the programs was Fonepaw. Apparently fonepaw tried to root my device and failed; or did something else. Yet, somehow fonepaw installed SuperSU as a system application. This is causing problems with the device, a Galaxy S5 (SM-G900V) running Android 6.0.1.
When I run the SuperSU application it reports:
"There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"
My only option is to select 'OK'. Which closes the app.
SuperSU won't uninstall via application manager due to being a system application.
The "adb backup" command no longer works since my attempts at using Fonepaw and a few other applications.
ADB see's my device via "adb devices". I can explore directories. If I enter "adb shell su" I get "[email protected]:/ #".
But when I try to run "adb backup" the phone doesn't go into the prompt where you say 'okay' and set a password. Adb backup has worked just fine in the past. It's been useful, and I need to use it again as part of changing to a new phone.
Android also is showing in notification a "Security notice" stating "Unauthorized actions have been detected. Restart your phone to undo any unauthorized changes."
Restarting does nothing. Even booting to safe mode doesn't stop the security notice. SuperSU being a system app runs in safe mode.
Root Checker app comfirms the phone isn't rooted.
I have never attempted to root the phone and have been the only owner/operator.
I would like to uninstall the SuperSU application and any data it stored on the phone without losing any data on the phone. Since the phone is not rooted and no SuperSU binary was installed, I'm hoping this is possible.
My search for information has provided limited insight.
I'm hoping someone on XDA might know what to do.
Edit: Additional info.
https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/103611/remove-su-after-unroot
I do the following:
"[email protected]:/ # cd system/xbin"
"[email protected]:/systems/xbin # ls"
output:
"Dexdump
dexdump
jack_connect
jack_disconnect
jack_lsp
jack_showtime
jack_simple_client
jack_transport
jackc
su"
The commenter at stack exchange would suggest the phone I have has root, but root check says otherwise.
Another edit:
I'm not sure, but it looks like a Custom Recovery was installed on the phone. Unsure if that's what came with phone or not, vol down+home+power brings me to a screen without the "Android" icon/statute/person thingy. Same for booting into vol up+home+power. However, in the recovery I get 'reboot to bootloader' and when I select that I go to stock android download mode/odin mode. And when I boot the system, boot/splash screen "Samsung Galaxy S5" on top, a lock icon that is unlocked with "Custom" in the middle, and "powered by Android" at the bottom.
command "adb root" returns "adbd is already running as root".
So, I'm not sure what's going on here. Found a post stating you can have adb root without root in androids system. So...I'm a noob at all this. *CONFUSED*. Hoping for someone to help.
Fonepaw support has not been helpful at all.
