'Notification' dialog in home screen

when an email or sms comes in, i little envelope shows up on the top of the screen and the bottom left hand of the screen changes from calendar to 'Notification'.
is it possible to not have that happen. i use spb phone suite and the home screen already shows this info via a number of unread messages. i do not need a 'Notification' message to show up also.

Geez, I kinda want mine back. I used a tweaking program to set it to something else, and now I can't find out how to set it back to get the Notification display behavior....
Any clues, aside from reflashing

I actually want mine back too without having to set it all the time. But in your case, go to start>settings>Sounds & Not on the bottom select Notifications, then select the event you want to change, you case "New Email" and check off Display.

that does not work. maybe its the ROM. maybe a soft reset is required....

Hi MBAlbright -- Thanks for the ptr. However, what I really want is the ability when I have a notification up, to automatically rebind the left softkey on the homescreen to "NOTIFICATIONS", so that pressing it will make it seem like I pressed the little notification icon.
Any idea on that one? This is how the older ROMs used to operate.

the home screen of [touchflo3d] overrides left and right default softkey actions. thats why we cant have now on left softkey notification button

so how would you rebind the left and right soft touch keys to other functions?

The only lockscreen I know of (have tried them all, trust me) wich is capable of showing appointments on lockscreen is the MetroLock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=656744

Thanks for the replys, I'll try to move the slider down but first I need to restore the slider. I installed and removed the slider in here:

Does anyone has an idea how I could restore the default slider?
I installed the bottom slider that I found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5708908&postcount=2) and when I noticed that there where no appointments on the lockscreen so I removed the cab.
Now when I turn my screen on I have to unlock my phone with the left soft key, the lock screen is completely gone!

Adding Call History to Home Screen Left Softkey
By default the left softkey on the the Sense home tab is coded to Phone which is pointless and a waste because you can get to the same Phone page by pressing the Send hardware key. Change it to the Call History page by using the following reg entry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila]
"HomeLSKText"="Calls"
"HomeLSKPath"="Manila://people/browserlayer/peopleCallHistory.page"

Change apps at homescreen SW2

Hi,
I can't find a way to change app places at smartwatch 2 's home screen. Like Alarm, Flashlight, Timer, Gmail, Messaging in the first page etc.
Is there any way to do this?

How to change order of apps on Sony sw2
You can rearrange apps how you like by going onto the smartwatch app on your mobile and then going to my apps, once there press the icon in the top right this will give you the option to sort alphabetically or own sort order. Click on own sort order and then you can slide apps from top to bottom in a custom order which will be mirrored on your smartwatch.

Can't add Google or Chrome shortcut to home screen

I'm having trouble finding out how to add a shortcut onto the home screen.
In Chrome I want to add a shortcut for a website as a home screen button. When I click the button "add to home screen" a notification popped up for a very short time and I could read it. It won't pop up again and I don't know what it wants me to do to solve the problem.
The same thing also happened with Google. I want to add Google weather to the home screen. In Google I searched weather and then tapped the option button, and click the add to home screen button. A quick notification popped up and disappeared again. I tried to add it over and over and nothing happens, no error notification either.
What options on permissions do I have to set?
Please help.

Sorry, not an answer to your question but as it's also home screen related, am I correct in saying there's currently no way to set which panel you want as your home screen? For instance if I want to have seven home screen panels but set the middle fourth to always return to upon launch?
I know I can use the app draw but I liked for instance, the ability with EMUI to be able to organise my apps/widgets so I could say, quickly swipe left from the home panel to see all my gaming apps grouped together, or quickly swipe the other way to see others easily.
