I am trying to determine if my Qtek9100 Windows Mobile 5.0 device has the Messaging & Security Feature Pack installed on it.
I currently have ROM version: 1.1.7.5
ROM date 9/22/2005
Radio version: 01.01.10
Protocol version: 4.0.13.16
Ext.ROM version: 1.1.7.105
From Microsoft's site I found a like to the following URL:

It has the I-Mate KJAM which I believe is the same phone.
Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.

no you haven't
upgrade to the latest rom (2.17) and you will have the MSFP
Do you know where I can get the latest ROM from ?
Is it a download that I perform myself or do I have to send the unit in to
get the update ?

you can take a look at ftp://ftp.clubimate.com für a new i-mate rom for your device. upgrading is always at your own risk. as a newbie i would only use official roms from my provider (in your case i-mate).
and yes, you can upgrade yourself from your pc.
sorry i see you have a qtek 9100, then use qtek roms (language english?).

I tried to update my Hp IPAQ to Windows 6 and it failed and now my phone is bricked. Could someone please upload my previous rom for me that would be a great help. Info is below....thanks.

Sorry, but this isn't an ipaq forum, and when you find one (google is a good place to search for "ipaq forum" you may want to tell them what model ipaq you have.
Unless you were given a WM6 ROM for that particular model, then yes, you will brick it, as ROMs are made for specific devices.

There is no one the WM6 update. Choose a ROM that looks promising and flash it.
First step: read, read, read.
There is a list of various WM6 ROMS here, but there are some exiting newer ROMS to be found that haven't made that list as well.

Hi, I'm a new user and I'm reading theese threads from days trying to find the best rom in order to update my Qtek9100 (IPL/SPL 2.18) to WM6.
From the IPL/SPL value, my Phone is a G3 device, right?
I tried the T-MOBILE 2.26 and the XDA 6 r2, but I always had an error (Invalid Vendor ID with T-MOBILE; Error 302 [UPDATE ERROR] with the XDA 6 r2).
Could you tell me which ROM is the best for my phone in order to have WM6?

I forgot to say that I tried the RUU_mUn_aRTM_10_2_0_8_WWE.exe. Everything seemed to be ok, but when restarted, my phone OS remained the same:

You need to CID unlock your phone

You need to find Dr. Puttingham's difinitive guide to unlocking your Wizard. Note that the unlock only works with IPL 1.x.x and a 1.x.x OS so you will need to flash the Button .5 ROM first to get set for unlock, follow the guide to do 2 diferent unlocks, then flash an OEM Ship ROM, then the WM6 ROM of your choice. Read, then Read, then Read, then try.

I can tell you where exactly to find the t-mobile official wm5 rom but not th qtek 9100.

I've a Wizard but i don't know exactly if is a qtek, mda, htc ecc becouse i've bought it (used) on ebay 3 years ago, it have a german kb layout but win mobile 5 is ITA. So i think that the prevous owner had already done something with the rom.

I received an HTC NEON Touch Dual running WinMoblie 6 but when I goto the HTC site to update the ROM, it asks me for my serial which I put in and it then tells me that the downloads do not suit my phone.
I've looked thru the forums here and can't find my phone.
In Device Information, it shows:

What can I update on my phone? Can I upgrade the Windows OS? Thanks.
Sorry to say, but the Touch Dual NEONs {Besides the NEON400 CDMA} have pretty much died down.
Most of the Touch Dual ROMs here at xda-developers are for the Touch Dual (NIKI) and the Touch Dual (NEON400).
And to answer your question about the Windows Upgrade... unless you do manage to find a custom ROM for your NEON200, you might be stuck with WinMo 6.1, as I know for a fact that neither HTC nor Microsoft released any official WinMo 6.5 upgrades for ANY Touch Dual model.
