I have seen the EVO and now the Droid X both are awesome phones. I was wondering if anyone knows of a phone that is in the pipe line for att. Or that will work on att. Got a Nexus right now love it. Just wish it had that nice 4.3 inch screen. One thing i was thinking of was a possible Droid X for europe. Buy then the 3G wont work right. Dam iphone ruining everyhing for android users on att. Any ways any idea rumors any ray of hope is welcome.

Unfortunately, looks like Apple owns AT&T

Hey guys,
Im gonna buy either a Droid 2 or Incredible. At first i was gonna buy the droid 2 no question, because i have a G1/Dream atm and I love the keyboard. But the more i searched and reviewed, the more i saw the droid 2 being compared with the HTC incredible.
Though the Inc doesnt have a physical keyboard, there are a some pro's it has over the droid 2.
So actually I am looking for some input from you guys.
Can both phones be modded like I could with my G1/Dream? I am a flash-a-holic and love to customize my phone.
One last thing: both phones are CDMA 800/1900, does any of you know wether I could use the phones in Europe? Specifically The Netherlands ?
thanks
My fiance has made her first to a smart phone and the Inspire was her top pick. We should have the phone Tuesday. I know have to set her up with a G-mail account. Her being a first time android and smart phone user I am trying to figure out what are some good tips for her and software for her to get.
I have been using smart phones MS and Android compined for I think about 8+ years now. I have not been a newbe for a long time. What can I do to help her so she does not get fustrated with the phone?
Since she hasn't been tainted by the iPhone like my wife was, i wouldn't worry too much.

Just teach her to walk thru it. She should be happy with it. My wife is. Introduce her to the market. Show her how to change themes, skins, and wallpapers. Download her some apps to do it. Woman seem to happy when they can match the theme colors and wallpapers for different looks. Kind of like with clothes and shoes.

I just wanted to thank all of this forum's great people and dev's.
This is one of the most friendly forums I've ever visited.
I bought a white Sony Xperia S (not to be confused with the Arc S) and therefore will not be visiting this forum anymore.
My Desire S was great, but I had poor build quality and the wifi deathgrip was simply too annoying for me (I use the phone in landscape 60% of the time).
The one thing I'll miss most will most certainly be Sense, but Sony's interface is nice as well .
So thank you all once more!

good luck.
Take a look at the one series...was Lucky enough as HTC guys visited our office with The almighty one x , one s and one v.....the best looking phone was one s....he scratched the phone up and down back and front with a coin....nothing...no cover or case required....when u hold the phone in hand it feels its made out of one piece..cam was superb...just thinking to buy the one s....one x is out of budget....anyway all the best and glad I got the opportunity to meet the one series....

I know they're awesome, but the problem is they don't have a screen that fits my needs.
You see, the One X has 1280x720, but 4.7" is simply too huge.
The One S however, has the perfect size of 4.3", but only 540x960
My new Xperia S has a 4.3" screen with 1280x720, giving it a whopping 342ppi.
That was simply my main reason of purchase, since I watch a lot of movies and animé on my phone.
I think htc is much better than any brand that produce android phone.
Might their hardware is better, but at last their android is just android with som new icon. All of them is these changes.
But in htc you see the complete system with sense & widget
For example at last, many android phone have accuweather app, but just htc have beautifull widget and in sense 3.5 with beautifull movie , ...
All over, i like htc any way

I have a g2 and I love it, however there are a few big things that HTC did REALLY well with the one x. First off , sometimes I really miss the screen on the one x.
Screen-The g2 screen is nice and big but there was just something about how the htc one x screen just popped out at you.I remember when I first got the one x I watched a HD video on you tube of greyhounds racing in slow motion and I was Blown away. The amount of detail was insane on a screen of that size. I watched the same vid on my g2 and it just did not have the same effects.
Sound- Some people say you can tweak the eq settings to make it sound like beats audio but I haven't found this to be true. The sound quality from the headphones of the HTC one x were outstanding. I remember working out at the gym with my one x and would be "in the zone " by just the pure awesomeness of the music . I have tried but I just can't get that same effect with the g2.
Camera-Man I do miss it. The pictures this thing took were AWESOME.I took a close pic of my dog and I could literally see every single hair on his body . The definition of the pic was just so clear and nice I had it as my wallpaper for a year straight. I tried to take a similar pic with my g2 and it gets close, it just doesn't have the wow effect like the hox can did.
I'm not saying the g2 is a bad phone.. It has its pros. But I just wanted to say having the latest and greatest doesn't mean that older phones are obsolete. I truly have missed my hox, if I ever damage my g2 I will def buy another one if I cannot afford another g2

I'm in the same situation as you, but I miss the software more than the physical attributes. Sense is just so refined and do I dare say that I miss Blinkfeed.
Scrib'd on my OG2
See it was the other way around for me.. I couldn't stand the software. I had 2 hox and both lagged just enough to drive me nuts.
