O2 XDA Zest Charger - General Questions and Answers

Hello,
I have O2 Xda Zest and i need to buy a car charger. The type of plug that this phone has looks like that (on the left of course)

Is that miniUSB type B ?
Which one of those products will work with my phone (because i don't think pictures are correct on amazon) ?

Tom Tom Navigator 2 Bluetooth

I have now purchased the above GPS system and with the Tom Tom Nav2 BT/XDA II fix (dowloadable off the TT website) have it working absolutely fine....wow at last!!
Question, before I blow something. If anyone has the TT Navigator 2 Wireless kit (and possibly the wired too), it comes with a Cigar lighter charger that powers the GPS unit and this device/lead has an "extension power connector" piggy backed on it so it can connect to a PDA also. It comes with a connector for the Ipaq, not suitable for the XDA II. However, with the XDA II supplied acessories comes a small plug in connector for connecting to the XDA II AC power lead, so that you can charge the XDA II outside of its USB cradle, and this connector fits the piggy back type connection. I am obviously wanting to use this in lieu of the supplied Ipaq connector to enable charging of the GPS and my XDA II simultaneously. Anyone know if this is OK? Logically, it seems to be the answer to charging both devices from one Cigar lighter? Don't want to blow anything. Comments welcomed, thank you. Steve
i use the xda adapter with the cigar lighter charger and it works fine
Hi Steve,

XDA 1/XDA 2 accessories compatibility

Hey guys. I just ordered an XDA2 and now I have to worry about how many of the components I bought for my original XDA 1 will work with XDA 2. For example, I bought a travel charger - a cable with a USB port on one side and an XDA 1 sync cable on the other which I use to sync my XDA1 with my laptop when I'm on the field. My question is this - will the XDA1's cable work with the XDA2?

Lost my XDAII adapter/charger....

Could I use this one? And still charge and sync with my cradle?

USB All in One Package is what I mean...
if it's made for the xda series
if it's made for the ipaq then no
they share the connector type but not the wireing
really on xpansys they said that I could use the 220v charger for the Imate?
And this product was also suitable for Ipaqs.
So i thought Imate=XDAII=Qtek2020
and if it's adaptor can chgarge an ipaq....the (much cheaper) Ipaq charger should be able to charge the Qtek 2020.
Could this be true?
according to this http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Connectors
the plug is the same, but they are connected different. So I would not advice it.
Would this be a better option?

It wont connect with the cradle..but without an extra battery it's not a must for me.
You have to understand any adapter that is made to work on the 1010, siemend sx56, and so on will not work on an xda 2 or 2020. It's very simple don't buy one unless it says it will work with your particular model.

Brodit release new Holders for HTC P3600 Trinity etc

Hi Guys,
Just to let you all know that Brodit have released the following HTC Trinitiy / HTC P3600 holders. There are passives that just hold the HTC P3600, or actives that charge via cig lighter or hardwired molex holders for fixed installation so you can hide the cables etc. All the holders fit onto the proclip mounting system.
To view images and specs etc follow the link:

Thanks all, if you have any questions, please drop me a line,
Bryson
What I am missing with these Brodit adapters is the audio-out, so I could connect the device to the aux in connector of my car radio.
My old Qtek S100 holder had an opening so I could use the headphone jack in the cradle. With the new devices and their allinone USB connector this is not possible.

You can buy a 2 way splitter from Expansys and hook up the power to one side and plug in yet another adapter into the other side to convert the mini USB to audio. I think they are both available at Expansys. They will probably be surfacing soon from other sources as well.
And does anyone know of a holder that has a power & a speaker built in?
Do these holders mark and make 'wear out spots' on the handsets?

O2 XDA Orbit circuit diagram required

Hi all,
The USB input for my O2 XDA Orbit, from where we charge the mobile phone has broken and I cannot charge the phone. The repair guy says that a pin has broken at the USB charging point and he needs the diagram to repair it.
Does any one have the circuit diagram or know from where I can get one.
Any help most welcome.
