www.chinavasion.com = bad quality & support product! = swindlers !! AVOID !! - Desire Accessories

Hi all,
I've bought a week ago this bluetooth mini keyboard :
http://www.chinavasion.com/product_info.php/pName/mini-bluetooth-keyboard-for-smartphones/
I've opened it, and it was looking to a be a great product. Pairing was okay, and stuff like that too. I tried to recharge it, and there was a contact problem. Here is a video explaining it : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WONbgT1lP2U
I DIRECTLY go to the online center of the shop. During the direct online conversation, he asked me to plug it to an other computer, so I went to my mum's one. While plugging it, the USB receptor broke and came inside the keyboard itself. It just broked!
There were already a BAD contact, and it simply broked. It is maybe a default product problem or simply a bad quality for their products, but it is NOT my fault. It's a new product, I've got a HTC HD2, so I know how to plug a microUSB cable !!
Anyway, they did not wanted to reimburse me !! They said I had to pay EVERYTHING to get it repaired (+ sending it, it would cost me more than buying a NEW one !).
In more, they asked me to wait and said they were going to answer me by email. They simply did NOT wrote me a mail the day after ! And now, 4 days later, I still have no answer, that's why I decided to write this topic !
So please, everyone retweet, publish it everywhere, and make know Chinavision as a really bad compagny for their QUALITY and SUPPORT!!!!!
Thank you !
I just lost 30 €, thank you www.chinavision.com and imagine if I had buy a product that cost 100 € or more??
CONCLUSION : AVOID www.chinavision.com !!!
Zepiii.

Sébastien *hide*: It will cost me the same price than buying a new one.
Justin [Chinavasion]: Is it possible for you to use this anyway.
Sébastien *hide*: I don't care... I bought a NEW keyboard, which must be 100 % fully working when I use it :S
Sébastien *hide*: And when I simply connect it, it's not charging

Sébastien *hide*: it's broke :s

PS : I published it in several Accessories topic, because people learn it.

Unfortunately, this is sometimes what you get when you buy from overseas.
Often devices like these end up being imported by local EU resellers, and whilst you may pay more for them, you gain the benefit of strong consumer protection laws.
Regards,
Dave

they get my thumb up
i have bought 2 x duel sim dual SD card touch screen phones from them for work.
one was faulty (had a loose mini usb plug) & they replaced (did offer a refund) no problem & EVEN allowed me to exchange for a different model
i found there service very good better than a lot of sellers on ebay & local shops.

This is ridiculous!
You are trying to scare them by giving links to XDA forum? WTF were you thinking when telling them to check your forum account for number of posts?
Sébastien *hide*: I promise you it just broked right now, and it wasn't before trying to plug it to my mum's computer

You're a funny guy!
Seems like the guys were more than patient with you.

You seem to have no clue when it comes to getting somewhere with CS personel.
First off, they don't care about bad reviews on forums, making threats don"t work. They are just employees of the company, they couldn't care less about it.
No what you wanna do is keep your calm and stay diplomatic, whilst still keeping a firm hand on the problem. If you believe is it their fault, then keep arguing that it is, however you have to be "cool" about it, not get angry, not start insulting them (people tend to do that for some reason, like cursing is going to make things better).
I once managed to exchange a fried up 15 months old MP3 player (out of warranty) for a brand new one from the store for free. Hell i didn't even have a reciept.
So as you can see, everything is possible, you juste have to do it the right way.

Why? Here's my story
I bought a Meizu M8 on Ebay last year. I received it about 2 weeks later. It was a pretty sweet phone (nowhere close to the awesomeness of the N1 though )... Until it broke - a widespread problem with the capacitive screen, where a certain part of the screen would just go "dead". So i contacted my Ebay seller and we agreed that i'd send the phone back to him for repair. I sent the phone to a chinese address he gave me and about 10 days later I received an email from him, saying: "I got your phone, will have it repaired and ship it back to you". After about 2 weeks of waiting, I send him an email, asking what's up with the phone and he gives me a "please wait a bit longer.." answer. Ok, I wait more... And more, and more and more.. After 2 more months, I send him another email, asking again (very politely) where my phone is. This time I get no answer. I wait another month and then email him again.. Again no answer.
Well.. I've been emailing him every 2 weeks or so since then and i'm yet to receive another response. I think it's safe to say that he's decided to keep the (repaired) Meizu M8 for himself. The thing is... I knew that there's a chance of getting scammed when dealing with chinese sellers on Ebay, but this guy seemed legit at first - he had like 2000 positive reviews on Ebay, he did send me the phone and then even confirmed receiving the phone for repair. What the hell happened to him?! (could be that the "nice guy" I was dealing with got fired and another f*cktard replaced him).
All of the above cited sites belong to the same guy/operation that screwed me.
I used to have an IGO bluetooth keyboard for my nokia n800, that worked well. it was designed for phones. might want to check it out.
Thanks for the warning zepiii, I will not be buying any products from this company. Thats pretty ****ty customer support if you ask me.
This is why you should always buy things on a credit card. When things like this happen you can just charge back the transaction. Debit cards dont have the same protection.
When you charge it back, its actually removed from their merchant account, so yes they DO loose the money, its not usually the credit card company that takes the loss - so there's alot of satisfaction for you too
Bummer transaction...you have to be extra careful now a days.
Wow I feel for you. But I must say, where you went wrong is when you admitted the piece broke while troubleshooting with the Rep on another issue! I would've tried to make it whole as much as possible and sent it in. You never know, they probably would've bypassed that defective piece and went on ahead in replacing the product for you!

[Q] paypal safety :/

hello! i found a well known smartphone on ebay for a very good price! i communicated with the seller and he told me to process outside ebay but with paypal... so can i trust him ??? if he doesn't send me anything will i get my money back???
My own policy is to buy only from sellers holding the "top seller" logo. Otherwise if something goes wrong, in the best scenario you'll struggle and waste time to get back your properties.
i know :/ but i cant resist it is a very good deal !!! btw i've just send an email to paypal and im waiting for an answer !
I wouldn't do it. Smells like a scam to me. If it's listed on ebay buy it through the proper procedure, not 'outside of ebay'.
I'd skip it if i were you.
if it is a scam opening a dispute doesn't give my money back??

Need Screen Data Cable :(

Seem to have ****ed mine up, anyone know where I can get one, or anyone want to sell me a spare? (Voided warranty as I opened )
Thanks!
[EDIT: Think this may be wrong forum :S]
I reckon your best bet would be to look for a TP spares or repair on eBay.
Could you ask HP tech department to send you one? If you ask and they say that they can't sell you one, try asking for them to give it to you. I'm not kidding I had that work one time with logitech. Sometimes the tech department isn't allowed to sell parts, just distribute and you never know, for something that small they might be feeling generous. Best of luck!

[Q] 14 year old in desperate need of advice

I'm a 14 year old who has been saving up for an asus transformer pad tf300. I brought a few months ago after saving for a long time. I had it for a couple of months and accidentally cracked the screen. The touch is unresponsive. I took it first to the place that I brought it from (Currys) but they said they couldn't fix it because I hadn't brought their warranty, which cost half as much as the product itself. After this I contacted Asus, knowing that their customer support had a bad reputation, and they said that I would have to send it to their repair centre. They then said that I would have to pay a charge of £60 for it to be collected and looked at and even if they couldn't fix it this fee was un-refundable. Despite all of this I still continued with the process. It was only the day before it was being collected they sent me an email saying that they were going to send it to their repair centre in Czech Republic and that they wouldn't be able to specify a price. This is when I became suspicious. I cancelled the order and phoned their hotline and after a long, pricey phone call I got the name of someone higher up I could email. He said that the cost could be anything from a £120. Instantly I thought that this could mean absolutely anything. I told them not to worry about the repair and that I would find someone in England to repair it. After a month or so of searching the internet, making phone calls and sending emails everyone has said that they can't fix it.
Does anyone have any advice to overcome this problem? Thank you very much for reading this.
Perhaps a used model

Sorry to hear of your problem and poor ASUS/Curry's service in the UK - not sure if this is any help, but if they are asking a minimum £120 for a basic LCD repair, sounds you better off getting a new 'used' machine.
I'm still in two minds to purchase a June purchased TF300 and KB for about £165.00 for 32G model - happy to collect it on your behalf and sort out payment when I'm back in the UK - 30th November. Sounds better than a repair and cheaper than eBay.
Anyway, do respond or PM me - happy to assist if I can.
Hello Arthur, maybe I can help you, I sent you the PM, I am from Czech republic and I have two friends. They are the Asus HW specialists / technics.
Maybe I can help you with your problem, or I can sent you the price of repair. Contact me on email which I sent by PM on your mail. '
Sorry for my bad english.

Outside of a retailer accepting a unit for exchange / return, this is pretty common process for returns. They're not usually expedited even for newer devices
