Hi
I have HTC Sensation and im satisfied like hell
I have an option to exchange my HTC Sensation with brand new HTC Sensation XE, with some cash over added by me.
Is HTC Sensation XE worth buying ? ( i mean changing it with HTC Sensation regular)?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
If it ain't broke....
Stick with what you have if it's working well for you.
You will be buying exactly the same phone underneath, and you will have been taken in by an HTC marketing scam.
Spend your money on some good earphones.
if i never had bought Sensation then I would have bought the XE coz price difference between new XE and Normal Sensation is just 50$ in my country.
since I already own a Sensation then there is no reason to upgrade. it's the same thing but with some addons that I can add to me sensation even later to make it an XE.. except for the red led lights which I don't like anyway...
I have a suggestion, Don't get the Sensation XE, Stick with the Sensation and flash an XE rom, Like ARHD. And you will have virtually a Sensation XE (Just without the red paint and the overpriced headphones)
Don't get it man, you'd be throwing away your money. If you really like the XE's look then just buy the XE's housing off of Ebay their only around USD$35. If you're really up for it and know some things about hardware buy some red LEDs and swap out the white ones and put the red ones in. Overall you should spend about USD$40~$50 swapping out both the LED and the housing. Skip this upgrade mate and get a quad-core in 2012 or the Nexus Prime.
Thank you all really..
I realised also, that, my sensation is working flawlessly, and there is no reason to change it to almost same phone...
And ARHD rom is different from IC roms ?

Hi,
Only way to find out is make a nandroid backup.
Flash ARHD,and if you don't like ,restore IC.
I wouldn't buy it, definitely not. I think the looks of the normal Sensation are better, the normal sensation is cheaper (even when you buy an Anker battery which is even better than the XE battery) and the hardware is basically the same. So just flash an XE rom on your standard Sensation is my suggestion
Does the XE's 4gig of internal memory (not all user accessible) have any benefit, other than greater rom space?

Hi,
It gives the user 1GB of space for apps.
Hi getting upgrade from my provider the difference is about 40 e. Would XE be worth than?
No need for flashing (for a moment ) + better headphones + overclocked from htc
Thanks

Does my phone have to be rooted to flash the XE rom on the standard sensation?

Yes, go ahead and root ........ you know you want to
Good thread! Thanks for opening it! Got all my questions answered here!
Low Ring Volume
Does the Sensation XE suffer also from the Low Ring Volume or does it have better speaker and lauder volume set?
Regards

Hi,
I'm not sure about the backside of a Desire S,but I am running ICS on my phone now.
no, phones physically different sizes, diff. covers, and diff. battery sizes too I think
Sensation ships with Android 2.2.x I think
@malybru : i am talking about official ICS
@cybergate9 : i saw on youtube that may be like desire S ... this is why I am answering !
I have a Sensation personally and support Desire S's at work, definitely different beasts (and backs)

Look at this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgCforHFQfE from 9:40 min and at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwhxoxpDT3Y from min 1:20 to see the difference that I am talking about ...
Desire S is a fullbody alluminium ... how is sensation ?
Full body is not aluminum. The back of the phone is partial aluminum. Second, HTC has specifically identified this phone as one of those that will be issued an official ICS update.
There is something that I should know about this phone before to buy it ?
Like @ desire s ... on some devices it was a major problem if,connected to wi fi, I put my hand on the antena I am partialy losing the wi fi signal ...
htc sent me today the part codes they replaced in my phone can someone check

Greetings oh knowledgeable community. I am a happy owner of both a Sensation and a Sensation XE (EU unlocked models both). I used to rock the XE model but recently decided to plunge into the rooting club and used my non-XE Sensation as a testbed, first with AOKP 35 and now with OrDroid 5.0.2.
Even when I was in stock rom the battery had performance issues - well documented and many have across them - that of course didn't change with the new ROMS (although OrDroid has noticeably better battery performance than the AOKP ROM).
Before I attempt to try the Anker/Muugen path, can I ask if anyone has tried of using the Sensation XE battery in a simple Sensation? Is it possible? Will it harm the phone and/or the battery? Reason I am asking is that I would rather get a Sensation XE battery (official HTC product, ergo better "compatibility", warranty, etc) to use on my non-XE Sensation, since it has more mAh.
Can anyone provide a solid answer please? I would rather use an official product than whatever amazon.co.uk sends me tbh.
Thank you in advance peeps.
What do you mean by performance issues?

It doesn't last a long time... hence "performance issues"
(insert relevant Loki vs Tony Stark pic here )
Still, the basic question remains, can I use the Sensation XE battery in Sensation?

I own HTC Sensation and wish to know the answer as well.
As for as I know you can use it if it fits, and the mah might be different but the voltage is the same.

All it will do is enhance the battery life. That's it. It will fit as well as the original does.
No performance issues whatsoever, batteries as far as I know never cause performance issues unless they are dying and then the phone may end up randomly turning off.

yes you may use the sensation XE battery in the non XE sensation as both has same voltage n almost similar mA...
so no prob in using the XE battery in non XE sensation
what about the casing, will it still close with the original non xe sensation?
Any success ?

I had the same question and while searching I cam across your thread, I know it has been a long time. But i was wondering did you try that out and what kind of results you got.
I would really appreciate if you could share your experience with us.
Hi everyone
I just bought an U11+ and noticed the camera model with EXIF always shows as htc htc 2q4d100 instead of U11+ ? My previous was a HTC 10 and it shows as HTC 10 within EXIF.
I have gone back to the HTC store and found the HTC u12+ does the same thing, is there a fix for this issue?
Thank you
