I am curious to find out if anyone has or would develop native application similar to the facebook app for the xda-developers website. I use various browser apps to access the site but how cool would it be if somebody (much smarter than myself) could write a native app that would launch the site and give the user a more native feel and/or more features. If this has already been done point me in the right direction otherwise let’s open up the conversation to see if anyone else would like to see something like this.
P.S. While I have your attention thanks to the many contributors to this fantastic site and community!
ofcourse that would be nice,, i'd only help testing it out tho since i know nothing about writing
I just think it would be very cool..and if I were smarter I would try to make it.
Hi guys, i just wanna share this new webkit based browser with you (FYI the company is Korea based)
Its still at the very early stage of development, many major fucntions are missing, e.g. copy and paste.
But it loads web pages pretty fast, almost as fast as opera 10.
If you are interested to try just click the below link:
http://www.dorothybrowser.com/
Maybe we can post feedbacks on their blog to encourage the development. WM definitely needs another good webkit browser after iris browser developers ended up working for RIM.
Cheers
Yeah, it does load pages quite fast - but it doesn't reflow text (yet?), so it's not really usable yet...
lol - new internet browser discovered. I tried it for a couple of days about a year ago and hated it. They're still on the same beta version, so I'm guessing there hasn't been any change since then.
I'm just posting this as a warning for anyone that does like it. Don't expect any updates soon

Android by Google is reaching high peaks of users. There are various apps for Android created by some or the other person. As Android is getting famous and more users are migrating to Android, apps and their developers are reaching more audience and greater popularity. That’s why even non-coders are interested to develop Android apps. Are you also interested in making an app? Cutting down the confusion, here is a step-by-step procedure to make a customized browser for your Android phone or tablet. Using this guide, even people having no knowledge of coding will be having their own custom browser ready for download.
This custom browser will be powered by the amazing Maxthon Browser for Android. Maxthon is a fast, cloud-synced browser with full of features. Maxthon for Android has many advance features that lack in other browsers like custom user agent, screen orientation, private browsing, wap/web option, etc. You can customize the browser with your custom name, icon, splash screen, browser theme, custom home screen, etc. Using this guide, you won’t be building a complete new browser but a customized version of Maxthon Browser for Android. But believe me, you’ll like the custom app of yours!
sorry , please secarch "make your browser" in google
My brain hurts :crying:
Here is your link : http://techathena.com/android/how-to-make-your-own-browser-for-android/
Edit : OK, then http://custom.maxthon.com/
The official website is custom.maxthon.com

I just found this on fdroid. And play store.
Zero instructions but promises to be an easy way to encrypt text fit email or any other means.
Honestly I'm nut good enough to give it a proper inspection to say if it's safe.
But if anyone knowledgeable wants to give it a try.
Developer here

Well, basically this app does not have internet access permission (nor root access). It will be really, really hard for me to send secret message to my mighty server...
I did not provide instruction because this app is too simple to have one.
1. You copy pgp message block into clipboard, and there will be notification about PGP block detection.
2. Then you can decrypt it and maybe send quick reply back to clipboard (encryption and signature).
As you might notice, it's an open-sourced app. Here's repository: (cannot post, new user limitation........ find link in play store)
BTW, really surprised to find this topic on XDA.
Hello,
I am looking for a Developer who can create an Android App/Service/Whatever for me to do the following task.
Since I have no expertise in Android Development I am very thankful for any help an will surely send some $ as compensation for the result.
TASK:
The App/Service/Whatever should be able to open up a webpage, perform a click on that page on a button (follow all redirections, parse and use javascript, use cookies) just act like a normal Browser, but completely invisible.
I dont want to see any Icon or UI Interaction. Maybe its possible to realize that only on Shell (Terminal) Level.
The Final Webpage's HTML-Code should be saved in a file on the FileSystem (/data/Whatever/page.html).
The App is only for me, my device is rooted and Running Android 4.4.1 .
I hope that someone can help me.
Hello) can suggest you http://mlsdev.com/en/
They are really the best company I used to work with!
Check out this app,
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.itsjust140.news
It loads webpages. It caches those webpages so we can use the app offline. It's made by me. If you want something like this, I can do it.
