Angry Birds Land in Rio
Just when you thought they couldn’t get any angrier, the Angry Birds flock gains new cause for vengeance. Swept away by smugglers to Rio di Janeiro, their captors soon find out that these caged birds don’t sing. It’s time to bring back their unique brand of weaponry–the finger-powered slingshot–and launch the newest adventure in the world’s most popular physics-based casual game.
In the original Angry Birds, this peace-loving flock was hoodwinked by greedy green pigs with a hunger for poached eggs. After the pigs stole their precious eggs, this flock was friendly no more: unleashing an arsenal of angry bird artillery, the avian army smashed through the green pigs and their hideouts. The world pulled the trigger with glee as these ornery birds made bacon out of swine.
If there is such a thing as a “classic” in a mobile gaming genre that is still very young, Doodle Jump is exactly that. Millions have been charmed by the delightfully addictive gameplay and irresistible style of this casual platforming game.
Nowhere to Go But Up
The object of Doodle Jump is to guide the Doodler, an adorable, interminably hopping four-legged creature, up a series of never-ending platforms. Watch your step–miss a jump and the Doodler will fall to its doom. Some platforms are solid and steady, while others move, explode, or have other properties that create interesting challenges for the Doodler.
Just a Hop, Skip, and a Jump
Mastering the perpetual motion of the Doodler is the key to moving up in the Doodle Jump world. You control the lateral direction of the Doodler by tilting your phone left and right. Doodle Jump uses your device’s accelerometer to enable pinpoint control. Alternatively, you can tap the sides of your touchscreen to bounce The Doodler left and right.
Trouble Ahead, Trouble Behind
There are many obstacles and pitfalls hindering the Doodler’s upward mobility. Black holes dot the path, waiting to suck the Doodler in to the void, while UFOs float by hoping to abduct it with tractor beams. Even more frightening are the many hideous creatures lurking above, ready to send the Doodler tumbling back down to Earth.
Beware of angry robots
Fight Or Flight
Fortunately you have more than just the Doodler’s tireless legs to rely upon. Destroy bad guys by tapping the screen to fire Nose Ball projectiles. Take evasive action by picking up propeller hats, jet packs, and other items that can be used speed the Doodler past the many hazards that lie in its path.
Oodles Of Doodles
Artistically, Doodle Jump springs to life with beautifully illustrated environments. Originally modeled after a drawing sketchpad, Doodle Jump now features a number of stylized themes to play through, including a winter holiday landscape, a lush rainforest, and a distant corner of the galaxy. Rich scenery and dynamic gameplay make Doodle Jump a unique and timeless mobile gaming experience.

Any NFL fans out there? I've been (im)patiently waiting for Madden to be released, but got a nice surprise from my daily market check today - Backbreaker 2: Vengeance has just been released as a Play exclusive
First impressions after 10 mins play, loving it large Excellent graphics, zero lag, heaps of fun to play... and the controls on this puppy just make games like this rock I played this before on my old iPhone and I loved it but it was frustrating with the onscreen controls (yuck).
The Play is the best phone on the planet, bar none

Rugby with pads n helmets lol
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
Lol, yeah a very under appreciated sport outside of the states. I just got hooked on it this year myself, weirdly I hate rugby. Prob cuz I had to play it in school
Highly complex, super athletes, massively entertaining... and the only sport where they openly have one goal in mind... kill the ball carrier. Never mind the pads & the helmets, this is a sport where real injuries are every game Those crunching tackles are what most of us won't admit we all love to watch lol.
Anyway, go play the game. The replays are ultra cool on the new tackling module end of the game. Go break the runner in half
American Football originated from Football(Soccer) and Rugby.
That's why American's call it Football, even though you play it with your hands.

Maybe the first one will work
I'm a fan of soccer (soccer is an english made name for football that the americans adopted - it comes from association football, was to differentiate itself from rugby football, aussie rules, gaelic etc.) I also love Rugby and am a massive fan of american football.
The massive misconception is that its rugby with pads - you dont get off the ball hits in rugby and most of the hits and braced for and expected
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7CZ_RgcJxk
Its also a much more tactical and strategic game than both rugby and football. Football/rugby are about stamina and endurance, keeping going without any breaks, the nfl is all out every second they are playing for with a short rest between plays.
Whilst the advertising is awesome during the superbowl there are much more creative parts to the game - the whole player system and drafting part is much better in the NFL (and all US sports) than it is with rugby and football. Creativity is all part of the game.
Anyway back on topic - I love backbreaker, played the first and now the second, I feel they could make a whole game from it and not just the 'mini' game type feel it has. Would be great if you could play a full game against opponents similar to madden superstar perhaps.
Madden is great on the X Play - not very long, only one season and far too easy even on hard but potential. The apk is floating around somewhere on these forums

Exactly, and pads allow players to give more massive hits - which the pads do little when it comes to the actual force absorbed by the body.
I love the strategy and mind games, and the HITS

Lol who was you playing with your little sister (joke). American football is an ok game, too boring to watch but ok to play imo.
Rugby and football are in a different league, its all about how the game flows but I suppose its all a matter of opinion.
Best sport to come from America is the ufc now there is a game I could do with on my play or fight night would be good.
P.s. Sorry for going off topic

English games have their merits and so do american sports - they are more like cricket, its a well paced game all about strategy and timings. Football and rugby are about stamina. They are in different leagues but parallel to each other.
And about the little sister joke, I find it hard to watch professional football for all the rolling around when someone gets close to them! Seems like they are the ones that are acting like girls!

While Gameloft seems to be hitting or missing with shooters, EA's been showing in great detail how awesome shooter aiming can be when you're not in the "touch-screen controls ghetto" of mobile smartphone gaming... now it's being beaten to death.
Anyone else ready for a fighter? I'm not talkin' emulation... I know I can emulate MvC and Capcom vs Snk 2000 Pro... emulation's just piggybacking off another system's archive; I wanna see something exclusive. I think anyone who came here from iOS deserves to have an original tactile fighter on Xperia PLAY if they share the same suffering I got from trying to play iPhone versions of SFIV, UMK3 and KoF-i without buttons.
Bruce Lee was good (great after I figured out it was a tactical fighter meant to punish button mashers... so I could stop trying to win via button mashing ) but we need something tailored to the Xperia PLAY... something with online play!

Isnt the next version of Tiger Arcade meant to have some kind of internet play?

lol yeah... took my brain a while to register that what looked like Tekken was actually Virtua Fighter... so I'd have to pay attention to blocking, parrying, timing moves and all that **** instead of just mashing the buttons.
I thought the game sucked for a long while because I was getting my ass beat too often... now that I figured out that I was just playing it wrong, I've been REALLY liking it (especially the story mode because it has RPG elements).
I still think it's a bad choice of a game to pre-load a system with though simply because a first time buyer wants something they can quickly, effortlessly and mindlessly start enjoying without getting too technical.
Street Fighter games have mastered that balance of being button masher-y enough for casual enjoyment while also being technical enough to appeal to a hardcore crowd... in that Bruce Lee game... no matter what difficulty you pick, you're either going straight for hardcore or getting beat the **** up lol

I'll be honest, I'm not sure. My Tiger Arcade's actually outdated, but that would be completely badass if netplay worked it's way in. We know the devs wouldn't be a little **** about it and make it WiFi only so we could potentially have 3G capable online fighting anywhere and everywhere... assuming that's true, at least. (Wouldn't that be awesome? )

Tiger Arcade with infrastructure play would be wonderful...imagine playing marvel vs. capcom against someone else anywhere!
Yes it is possible. New TigerMame 3.0.0b have an option Netplay. I cannot test it but it is and probaly it works!
Bruce Lee is the lamest piece of software ever done. I got through the game easily purely by good old button mashing, the RPG elements consist of an excuse plot whose depth rivals with Duke Nukem and of irrelevant leveling and the eponymous character is broken, making the story mode a breeze.
Got the beta.
Its got net options but just asks for an ip address, cannot search for games.

so you're saying the movie "Fight Club" was undeserving?
This game is like Def Jam, instead with kickboxers. On a side-note, Alistair Overeem will beat Brock Lesnar come Dec 30th.
Not if brock can tackle his ass, think brock knows better now not to stand up and turtle with strikers. Live and learn.

Seeing Xperia PLAY Exclusive, fighting game, none of those bull**** touch controls, and online play all in the same sentence is music to my ears.
I now have like 400% more faith in this product, and are highly likely to buy when this update drops.
I do hope their mention of "amongst other things" means the production quality will be bumped way up, and I'm also hoping online play packs some kind of lasting appeal aspect. Just being able to kick someone's ass online for experience points leading up to a "Level Up" would do wonders; even if it doesn't actually increase any kind of stats.

Battle of steroids.. Brock will own Alistair w/his GnP skill.. TKO (punches) round 1 or 2.. But I hate Lesnar since his WWF/E days.. In fact I love to watch the replay of his fight against Cain.. But whoever wins on their match they have no chance against JDS.. What I want to see is Anderson Silva move up again to LHW division to face bones..
BTT
I hate games w/ in-app purchase but I will definitely try this game..
Bones will remain unbeatable for a long time, silva is tiny compared to him
And ya, i wouldnt be in a big rush to face jds.

I loved Lesnar's match against Angle when he went for a top rope moonsault & landed on his ****ing head!
Lesnar was FTW for the title & Angle had to carry his almost unconscious ass to the end.
Same as others.. I can only play 1 fight..
There's a 1.01 update for the game, it doesn't freeze anymore
Decided to go ahead and buy it in anticipation of the update that allows online play.
The only thing I'm disliking about it so far is that unlocking characters happens WAY too damn fast. All you do is play one career match, they set you up against someone you haven't unlocked... if you beat them, you unlock them.
I guess that is more time effective, but I'm used to having that whole sequence of playing through a whole arcade mode, unlocking one person, then you get the whole next playthrough to get accustomed to your new unlock. This way just sorta... feels like it devalues the experience of unlocking someone new. I blame Tekken for making me nitpicky about such a small thing
How i wish we can have Fight Night series like in IOS..

That's kinda the function of those games though. What's nice about DODO is that you can control the ship from the negative space at the bottom of the screen. That way, you don't have your finger in the middle of things. I also tend to use the thumbsticks for Bullet Asylum so my view isn't obstructed.

Sorry, I was referring to the thumbstick control option within the game itself. You can choose between touch/drag or thumb controls.
My top 5 are:
1. Tentacles
2. The Harvest
3. Plants vs. Zombies
4. King of the Sea
5. Words By Post
Also, vNESLight is a very good NES emulator and that opens you up to lots of classics.
I think that depends on each one of you. For me the best games are Poker King Online, Bug Village, Full House Poker, Fragger ( a lot better than angry birds, which I own and like ), Breeze and sudoku like someone already mentioned, Minesweeper (which I never pass a level but still its fun xD) and chickens can't fly. If there is a cool multiplayer game feel free to post it's name
Best Regards
