hi guys
I bought the Cameron Sino CS-HDM100XL extended battery for my HTC Diamond, it works fine and it does look like its double the capacity.
Problem is, I cant get the GPS to work when used with this battery.
Is there a way to fix this or am I screwed ?
cheers
Too bad you didn't check this forum earlier. It's a known problem and there isn't a fix, AFAIK..
Although I read somewhere someone actually got better GPS with the original extended battery.
If I remember correctly, it had something to do with the cover, the way it makes contact with the device and how it acts as an antenna.
hey i just got the diamond and I cant use the gps i go on fast gps and it tells me to download some stuff when i finish downloading the stuff it just tells me how many days i have left before redownloading it.
plz help
GPS Works
Odd but my GPS works using the CS 1800MAh battery, i got 2 of these batteries from an ebay purchase and initially no GPS as per other users experiences, was very annoyed but then one day started to work.
Cameron Sino's batteries won't let you use the GPS, duno why just can suppose it's about the mAh. The highest one I've seen from HTC it's 1340 mAh, I suppose the diamond have a security block for prevent all energy problems!
I have a C.S batterie too, and I'll be able to use the GPS 2 times only, (remove cover, fix the GPS, put the cover), but the number of satellite are poor.
I'll think too the cover design surely work like the F117 and reflect the GPS signal away from the GPS antenna.
Hope somebody found a solution for the 1800 mAh problem
Greetz to all
P.S: Sorry for my poor english
Cameron Sino 1800mAh
Hi i am using the Cameron Sino 1800mAh battery with the supplied back cover.
At first i had real problems with GPS reception and played around with different radio versions. I finally settled with radio 1.17.25.09 and while GPS reception may not be extraordinary, it works good under most circumstances. I tried all the aluminum foil tricks with no result - ripped it out again.
Regards, the Modifier

2 hrs is a very short lifetime... does the phone gets hot? if yes you need repairing...
for what i've read about batteries, all except originals doesn't let your gps work, so take your choice according to your need

2 hours i means when i use internet and when im online, when im on standby its about 20 hours something like that, its problem for me u know and about overheating htc is ok no overheating i think soo working fine just battery is sh** i just buy battery can u tell me if i make a good choice ?
Here is link:

BP E270 is the official extended battery from HTC, it comes with a slightly thicker cover in mat finish, and the GPS works. I just received mine and I think it looks great, just slightly thicker. I believe the 3rd party ones are even thicker than BP E270.
http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=166204
20 hours standby is pretty normal for the 900 mAh battery.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HTC-Touch-Dia...14&_trkparms=72:1683|66:2|65:12|39:2|240:1318

Get Mugen Power 2000 or 3000 mAh.
I'm curious as to what the best standard size high capacity battery for the Samsung Galaxy S is.
After some searching the Andida 1850mah battery seems to be the best choice, but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the other high capacity batteries such as the 1800mah one that's floating around on ebay:
cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150532499575&category=20336&_trksid=p5197.c0.m619
Any help would be greatly appreciated
On the seller's feedback page I found the following comments:
not 1800mAH battery, last no longer than a normal nattery. But a good extra batt
Correct battery got here faster than expected from China no less better than OEM
Battery works great. Seems to provide a bit more juice then stock
This battery is junk. Only lasted 6 hours with my phone in standby. Don't buy
The battery work ok, but not last longer then my 1500mah original battery.
Yeah there's mixed reviews on it so I was just wondering if anyone had any personal experience with it.
Also, i'm curious if anyone knows anything about this:

I build a discharge tester and did some research on this one over @ captivate forum. Check it out here:

HTC Sensetion has a Li-Ion 1520 mAh battery, it probaby will work with DHD ? And + 2.3 andorid - it think it would be a great solution.
What do u think, will it worth ?
It was just announced, so looks like we'll have to wait and see. Engadget have a hands on video where they take off the back. From the looks of the battery, I don't think it'll work, I could be wrong though.
it will not work, it has bigger dimensions than the desire hd battery :-( S U htc
The phone has different dimensions, even the screen if I understand the specs correctly, so the battery will be different too.
Anyway, wait for users of this phone to complain about battery drain, with a 20% faster processor, 3D transitions etc

Even if you hook a car battery to the phone there will still be users that will complain about the battery life. It's the human nature. For me one day is enough. You can always charge during the night
can anyone confirm if this battery is legit and does it work for DHD

It says DISCONTINUED at the top right of the page.
Also, search this Accessories subforum for Mugen, there is talk of a 1500mah battery coming out at the end of this month. (actually it's at the top left of Mobile Fun's page).
And DON'T buy a "high-capacity" battery off e-bay!!!
the 1500 mah is alredy getting bad reviews...so i guess we r stuck with the stock 1230 mah..

Did you read the posts in the thread, or just the title?
It seems there is a pre-production run which was sold, and from what I have read in that thread, there IS a noticeable difference.
Wich other solution can we have ? Is the Mugen Power 1300mAh better than the HTC one ?
<sorry for my bad english>

Where did you see this? I saw the 1500 mah, only two reviews one said it helped, the other said that they saw no difference between it and a stock battery.
Quick fix? Custom rom and new radio!

To make your extended battery work right you need to calibrate it. Also there's tons of tips on how to use li-ion battery properly. Some users just don't know that and this is why they get bad battery performance.
Check this http://mugen-power-batteries.com/user-guide

if you want to talk about the sensation battery i suggest you use current threads and don't dig up old ones:

about your question: better ask it in the sensation forum:

Hi, Can anyone please advise me of a good/reliable cmpatable battery for the Desire S, which lasts longer befoe it needs to be charged each time, than the one supplied by HTC. What about the compatable Phone Battery BG32100 from China.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308766 they recommend the ankers batterys they are pretty cheap and reliable.the ones from china have had problems so best to avoid them.
if you want to change the stock battery , check this one...

Mugen
I heard that Mugen extended batteries are slightly thicker than original and cause that infamous screen lifting on Desire S. I have experienced it also with standard battery, don't know what happened.
Hi there, I am thinking to search for a better battery than the stock one, as my mobile lasts only one day with some wifi use. Anyone knows how much does the phone last with the mugen battery?
