HTC HD2 use as a web camera - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Does anyone know if you can utilise the phone camera as a web camera on windows programs such as skype, gtalk etc?

I recall using CoolCamera ages ago, a bit of googling got me this:
http://www.ateksoft.com/webcamplus.html
which apparently is the followup, ive never used it though, so cant tell you much about it

i've been using mobiola (i think it was called so)
it works both via wifi and activesync. pretty good thing you also can share your mobile screen via skype for example D

webcameraplus works pretty well for me, apart from it has some weird flicker but its not a big deal. It took a bit of playing around for me to get working because i run windows xp within virtual box in ubuntu linux. I got it working over bluetooth in xp.

Apple compatibility

Hi,
I'm thinking of gettinga Mac laptop.
Can I get (free??) software to synch XDAs to the MAC?
Thanks
SynCE is a free syncing program for OS X, but you better keep a bottle of tylenol by your side.
http://www.synce.org/index.php/Mac_OS_X
http://www.synce.org/index.php/SynCE-Wiki
I've tried synce on several occasions without ever getting it to work. To be honest the only "real" alternative today is missing sync for $40. Although I read somewhere that I guy had gotten activesync to work with wine on osx but I wouldn't consider that a solution...
i heard parallel's desktop works for WM5 phones too. Too bad i don't have an intel mac to try that out. Check our their forum if u want more info on that.
For my g4, i go with exchange server syncing. works pretty nicely, and never have to dock.

With how cheap HDD's are.. dual/tri/quad boot... You should have been doing this for years braaaugh...save a lot of time and ease of use. I run win2k3x64/vistax32/xpx32sp2
I have several Virtual Machines yes. But not Vista as Main system.
Installed it and It worked Great
Hey Guys I installed it last night and it worked great and controls the media player and access outlook from a great distance.
the one thing is that you have to be able to sync over BT.
other then that worked on the latest TNT base on19213.
Very Cool
I'm also using TNT's latest and it worked without having to patch anything. I did have trouble on my Vista box -- damn WIDCOMM stack! It didn't find the profile for sideshow for my phone. I went into device manager and fiddled around a bit (rescanned for changes) and it finally found the driver and it started working.
That said I still can't active sync via bluetooth (can't find a valid partnership on the phone side). I've tried both via bluetooth and COM over bluetooth and still no joy. I don't need it any so as long as the sideshow stuff keeps working I'm happy.
Oh and yes while the sideshow stuff works very well and at a great distance too it still is typical ugly, not finger friendly crap from Microsoft. The home plugin's navigation is so small it's hard to hit the arrows without bringing the applet up completely. Also most everything is buried in menus (some wired to buttons but not much). I realize this is a beta but this is pretty much Microsoft standard stuff. I wish theur UI people would get a clue some day.

VZOmobile for Windows Mobile

Has anyone tried this app before? Is it really the best app to make videocalls for free connected to the internet?
More info here:
http://www.soft32.com/Download/Free/VZOmobile/4-227857-1.html
I've messed around with it. Based on what I've found, it's really pretty much the ONLY video chat client for windows mobie -unless you count the useless Micro$oft Portriat thingy.
Anyway it seems to work ok - of course still kinda sucks for me because here in the USA we don't get the front-facing cameras...grrrrrr (although I'm trying to get my hands on the part and add it to my Fuze...hehe)

Pocket Controller Pro-like application for Android?

I was wondering if there is anything like Pocket Controller Pro from SOTI:
http://www.soti.net/PCPro/Default.aspx
The application shows and controls the device (Windows Mobile for now, don't see any port to Android) from your PC screen.
Is there another type of application like this out there that can be used in the Android world ?
Thank you in advance.
I've searched high and low and can't find anything close to that app for android. I don't think one exists yet.
yes, also mobilier is much better for windows mobile, and it's free. It's called android screen cast http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=663390
Its funny but I've been on that almost all afternoon trying to get it to work. Seems like a good program, but just can't get it to work on my rooted phone. adb has always given me problems.

Weird, worked for me out of the box. But yeah, nowhere near as good as MyMobiler for WinMo.
Try Webkey!
Hey try Webkey. It's on the market and allows you to do quite a lot of stuff including writing emails and texts, looking at your screen, export messages, call lists, contacts and more! It's really pretty good and it's free on the market!
seems like pocket controller is finally releasing tomorrow for android

[Q] Tun.ko question

Running a TF101 with kernel 2.6.39.4 [email protected] #1 and Android 4.0.3. I recently installed Droid VPN and got it to connect just fine. Worked like a champ to use my netflix app from Kuwait. Before I would get the error "Not allowed in your country" now it loads just fine. Minus the fact its slow as ****. But that's another story. My question is, after installation of Droid VPN I cannot get my Splashtop HD to work like it use to. It would stream my desktop in real time to my Asus Transformer. Now it seems that it has about a 30 second delay and its only like one or two frames then off for another 30 seconds. Would the installation of Droid VPN have caused this? Also, I cannot find the Tun.ko file in my /lib/modules/ anywhere or even in the /lib/. Do i need to get one? Or does the transformer support it natively?
EDIT: Ok, after an hour of reading, its supported natively in ICS. So since it is supported, I have no need for a Tun.ko file. What could have caused my Splashtop HD issue?
What I have done to troubleshoot:
Turned off QOS on the router
Uninstalled Droid VPN from the Transformer
Rebooted Device
hey off topic sorry. but I had never heard of splash top. is it that great? I've tried xtralogic and teamviewer. both work. how's splash top in your opinion
The Droid VPN may have changed some network settings splashtop needs to function properly, it is a rather unique remote desktop app, not 100% sure though, if uninstalling it worked then great!
As to the above, splashtop is the best in my opinion, it has an amazing framerate, if you can get past some of the annoying bugs. Look it up xD

Its by far the fastest remote desktop app without sacrificing quality.
For example watching a 1080p video running on your PC through splashtop is no problem, it displays in perfect sync without any stutter.
Gaming is no problem either, except you cant play in full-screen. You have to set the game to window mode.
I do, however, miss a pinch-to-zoom feature. Running a windows desktop on a 10" screen makes it a little hard to click on small areas (If you use the touchscreen, obviously).
Do note, however, that your PC needs to be quite powerful for the best experience. Its quite CPU heavy. I got a Hexa-core though so Im good
The old asus mycloud version has pinch to zoom, and they're thinking about rereleasing it.. I actually use two splashtops, one for gaming and one for browsing and coding. The old mycloud version I use for browsing and coding as it supports holding down keys to send multiple keystrokes, and pinch-to-zoom. I use the newest one in the market for gaming as it FINALLY released mouse detection, so I can plug in a usb mouse or use the trackpad and it follows pretty reasonably, but they broke multiple keystrokes again so its annoying to type + impossible to play fps with.. still..
Also, 6 cores? What processor do you have to have 6, standard is 1 2 4 8 etc.. I'm guessing refurbed AMD or weird AMD?
