A friend of mine wants to buy a Desire S. He won't have 3G in his subscription for the mobile phone. In other words: the phone could only have an internet-connection by using WiFi.
Unfortunately, he doesn't have a WiFi access point in his house, because his father can not stand the radiation. All the internet-connections in his house are wired, and none of the neighbours have an unsecured WiFi access point.
So, this would mean he can't use the market, because the phone can't be connected to internet at his house. Ofcourse, he could download apps at school or at one of his friend's houses, but this is a bit unpractical.
In other words; I am looking for a certain app on the PC or a website, which can browse through the Market, and download the APKs, so he can install them manually (only the free ones ofcourse).
I already checked AndroLib and Cyrket, but none of them provides a downloadlink, only a QR-code.
Is there any alternative, or is the only way of downloading apps at his house searching APKs manually by using Google?
Thanks in advance.
That's a tough one. You can browse the market from any browser. You just need to go to https://market.android.com/.
However, when you "purchase" an app, it will only send via cellular, not internet.
I wish you luck on this.
Well, you could do that on Nokia phones by accessing the 'ovi' site and using some parameters to make the site "think" you were accessing using a mobile phone. In Android Market I don't think you can do that... But there's a way to get the programs needed: with YOUR help !!!
If you have an Android phone, you can download the apps he needs and then backup them using Titanium Backup or App Backup and Reinstall. The 'apk' files will be saved in a directory and you can send them to your friend by bluetooth, or put then on a usb pen...
But... let me tell you this: the Android phone relies SO MUCH in internet data that not having wifi nor 3g subscription is almost a crime, specially having a Desire S !!!
Thanks for the help guys!
Guess I'll have to help him whenever he wants new apps, but that isn't a big deal.
At least there is another one who switched to Android
just google the file and youll get the app.
Gameloft games are realy awsome but the problem is we cant play it without internet access.. Every time we start a gameloft game it connects to the internet and dowload some data files. Without downloading we cant play it. I came up with a idea to solve this problem and i need help from all gameloft gamers...
Ok here is the idea:
* sniffer http urls after starting the game.
* check wich files there are downloading and from wich url
* dowload that files manualy
* create local server and add all sniffered gameloft domains to host file and redirect to local sever.
* put that manualy downloaded files to local server.
* so main thing is now every time we start a gameloft game it will connect to our local sever so no internet is needed. And it will download that files from local server.
Lets make this gameloft local server.
I dont think that developing an app is warez.. I am sorry if this is warez. Thank you.

So the Battlelog app for android if you are running a tablet lets you use commander mode in the full game (basically play a mini strategy game from anywhere against real pc players) and command from wherever you go.
Would I be able to spoof my nexus 4 into a tablet just to do this without having to buy one?
I am currently running Paranoid Android so this should be possible but I am unable to increase the size of the battlelog app from Hybrid settings.
So when the game comes out in 10 days this should be possible right?
I would love to take Battlefield 4 with me anywhere and command on the go.
If there is a separate tablet apk let me know.
Can anyone please answer this?

►First go to: [Moderator edit: Referral link removed]
►then "Tutorial For Android Mobile/Pad"
►Then click the "DummySprite" Link. That will redirect you into a download page, download the THIRD ONE
►after that, install it normally.
►Then open the app, the setup will take a few minutes, don't worry it's for the first run only.
►When setup finishes, you will see a Clash of Clans Bot there, go install it.
►run it after installing, it will ask for you to register, go register. and if you don't mind, use my invite code
→INVITE CODE: 61535
→When you register under my code, you will receive an instant 50 BEANS which is the virtual currency of the app and I, who referred this to you, will receive 20 beans.
→The only CON of this app is, it is not free, every account is entitled only TWO HOURS of usage.
→But here is a trick! Go to Settings>Manage Applications> DummySprite > Clear data. After clearing data, you can register another account again! If you don't do this trick, you can't create another account because of the limitations.
Here's my invite code again, enter this if you like
→INVITE CODE: 61535

Auto search enemy and auto battle? So with this app you can download and never play clash of clans...
Yeah, call me skeptical of downloading this from some random Chinese site. I'd rather just play the game.
I can almost guarantee this to be fake and get your account banned on COC. anyone have any proof of it working?

This app is !100 %safe and never get banned from coc
.apk might not be safe aswell, I'd skipp this and just enjoy the game by playing it yourself.

Just a thought. .. Say I downloaded a game off the Play store with my Android and i get home and someone else also wants it. I recently found out theres an app called "ApkShare" to send this game install via wifi bluetooth etc. to another device. So since this is possible could pc app not be created that allows u to backup ur apps/games u download to a home server so that whoever has access via wifi or bluetooth can then download that apps u backed up.
Something with like a XBMC interface on ur android device.
Oh is this old news... if so what is it called?
