I have a carputer in my car with a 10 inch touchscreen and a lot of other stuff. Amongst that stuff is a USB Bluetooth dongle. I would like to be able to dial numbers, browse my contacts and answer calls with the PC instead of the much smaller Atom phone screen. Does anybody know about software that does this?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Mastif,
You may find that Soti Pocket Controller Professional works over BT
for you. It throws up the screen of your pda onto your PC screen (so OI don't see why you couldn't try it on ur carputer). the image can be zoomed and all feature of your pda accessed via the PC screen (or in ur case carputer touch screen). Let me know if it works/ helps.

Thanks! I'll have a look at that.
If you don't want to shell out for Soti or don't need all the bells and whistles, there is a similar free app from Microsoft (Remote Display control):-

I've roamed the forum and didn't found much about this possibity.
Could a wm6 ppc such as a Kaiser could be used as a bluetooth keyboard and paired with, let's say, a PS3 ?
I know there is a BT gps forwarding app (gps2blue) and so it doesn't seem totally undoable...
any thoughts ?
Have a look at http://www.mulliner.org/bluetooth/xkbdbthid.php .
I wanted to port it to wm6 but I do not have enough knowledge and experience in ppc programming. It uses GTK and Bluez and runs on linux, so I think porting it would mean rewriting mostly everything (the bluetooth part as well as the window system part).
But who knows, there are such great developers on xda-dev. Maybe someone has enough time to do this ? If so, I'm really interested.
you could use an application like TabletRemoteControlSuite of SallingClicker. they don't implement Bluetooth HID protocol, but they can be used to remotely control keyboard and mouse over bluetooth / wifi...
Thanks for the link. Sallingclicker is a nice concept but requires a host client, which is a no-no for using in non mac/pc environment.
xkbd-bthid is actually closer to what i'm looking for, sadly not running on wm6...
true, all tools I know require a 'server' application running on you computer...which can be annoying
mabye you can make over your request to Teksoft. They already made the BlueMouse application which enables your PDA to function as a real bluetooth mouse...so I guess they have enough knowledge to create a similar application for a virtual bluetooth keyboad HID, but then it will probably also be shareware instead of opensource...
EDIT: while looking thru the forum at Teksoft, I just noticed that they are already working on a Bluetooth Keyboard HID for theire program Bluemouse...http://teksoftco.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1583&highlight=keyboard
Hu...no, from what i gathered from the teksoft site, what i'm looking for is the exact opposite: pairing my kaiser AS a standard bt keyboard, not pairing it WITH one.
thanks for the link anyway.
you're right, I mixed them up...
hi,
did you already found something for wm6? I'm looking for exactly the same function.
regards
for now this is the solution which is the closest by far:
anyRemote
otherwise tuxmobil.org has some programs listed, but nothing really compareable to xkbd-bthid. sadly.
BlueTooth Windows Media Player control???
Does any one know If I can use my ppc to control windows media player remotely??
Thread Moved to Question&Answers Forum
You can try GRemote, you can connect it through ActiveSync/BT/WiFi, it can use any SIP as keyboard or the hardware keyboard (it has an option for the side of opening the hardware keyboard, for Touch Pro and TyTN II (they open in different directions)), it can be used to control WMP, and not shure about WinAmp, it can be used as TouchPad and as a GameePad. It can be used as Logitech MX Air, but your phone needs a G-Sensor.

Salling clicker is a really good solution for that.
i'm using it to control the mouse/media player/winamp/screen....
there are many scripts out there for this app which let you control a lot of aspects of your comp.
Gremote did not work with my device or computer. too hard to set up. spent an hour and a half before I realized that it is in the diamond section, and probably will not work for me anyway. The rest of the stuff I found is for java.
This reallly bugs me. didn't anyone at MS think about using a ppc to control wmp through activesync??? I bet they thought of it at apple.
F""K it. I give up.

GRemote should work on other devices, altough without acceloremeter some parts will not work completely, but I expect the keyboard and mouse to be working. I'll try myself on my wizard this week.
Did you try Salling Clicker? Very nice tool with very good integration for windows mobile and itunes remote control. and you extend with many script from their forum.
PPC - Keyboard
I need to be able to either plug my Touch Pro into the computer via USB cable which i use to sync or connect it via bluetooth by plugging in some sort of USB dongle.
Either way, I will need to be able to not have to install activesync or any other drivers. I need a plug-n-play solution.
I will be working on multiple computers which have just been re-imaged at work. I do not want to swap keyboards & mouse back and forth between them constantly; however, swapping the dongle or USB cord to my phone wouldn't be as bad. I cannot install software on these PC's to support this.
I would like to plug it in and it recognizes it as a keyboard/mouse just like it would with a real keyboard or mouse.
How would I go about doing this?? Does the Salling Clicker software support this??

no it doesn"t... so far I couldn't find any application wich will work without installing some kind of 'server' on your pc, you always need a PDA and PC application. The apps which are working like this are: SallingClicker (many nice extra features for music and presentations), GRemote (freeware) and PPC Table (nice interface).
My small sony ericsson very simple mobile phone supports a bt mouse and bt keyboard interface. I don't need anything to be installed on pc (except bluetooth stack) and it will recognize my phone as if it is a standard bluetooth mouse or keyboard. Such an application would be very nice for Windows Mobile...
For some reason, I can't use my keyboard to input any data through My Mobiler, nor can I use the copy/paste feature. My keyboard only works on the home screen for dialling numbers!?
So basically, is there another way to connect to my Vox (6.1) using my PC?
Is there a VNC server for the phone?
Shame My Mobiler doesn't work. It's great to use, but keyboard input is my main concern.
A program called True connect works perfectly but it's ugly and costs £15!!
Thanks
I'm having the same issue as well on a HTC S620... Seems to not work on keyboard input

Could you add Celio Redfly Desktop Mobile Viewer Beta to your comparison list, please? I don't know if it is worthwhile but as you are a pro in this field and pride yourself in doing this sort of testing, if only for the sake of thoroughness ... it would satiate my curiosity.
Thanks,

I'm having a problem with the mute, I manually muted my phone (on the touch pad) and later I un-muted it with the mouse by clicking on the my mobiler display and now my phone is stuck with the speaker off, if I answer a call I can't hear anything (but they can hear me). Any suggestions on how to fix this? I really need help.

Gamepad driver for everyone and Windows Mobile

Black Panther from PocketPC.CH has written a new version of his BGP100 Bluetooth Gamepad driver what finally works great on WinMo. So now you alse can assign keys in MorphGear and other games I have tested it with a BGP100 ordered at pearl.de.
Look his original post at:
http://www.pocketpc.ch/hardware-zubehoer/37787-bluetooth-gamepad-bgp100-3.html
Or just download the attached file.
You need to pair your gamepad with HD2 first. than your bluetooth needs to be active and you can run Black Panthers driver. Click start, choose gamepad and it will run like a charm
ATTENTION
In Post #67 in this thread evo6 reported about another solution like the Black Panther driver but without a lag from bitbank. I didnt test it so far but i already put it here so everyone
you can find it here: http://www.modaco.com/content/pocket-pc-software/299779/bgp100-bluetooth-gamepad-driver-free/
1) Pair your device with the BGP100
2) Enable the SPP (serial port protocol and pick a serial port)
3) For older Pocket PCs, note the "outbound" COM port number
4) Run BGP100
5) Select File->Configure and select the COM port (or BTC port) which connects to the BGP100
6) You're done

FPSECE Supporters version works now with MSI BGP100 and other BGP100
###################
Video tour at Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb3MJAQMrCE
Get free FpseCE from http://www.fpsece.net and make a donation to receive the supporter version.
Follow this step by step
- Turn on your bluetooth gamepad
- Turn on bluetooth on your HD2 and yo to bluetooth settings (last touchflow icon for settings tap menu - more - Bluetooth)
- Now click "Add a device" and wait till it says "GAMEPAD"
- Click on Gamepad to pair
-- when asked enter "0000" as passkey
-- When asked select "SPP Slave"
-- When asked for a local serial port to assign choose "COM2" (maybe this one differs for some people but it has to be a com port)
- Now go to the list where all your paired devices are listet
-- Keep holding your finger on "GAMEPAD" till context menu pops up
-- Enable "Authorise connections" (could be called somehow different, i translated it myself this way)
- Now you can leave bluetooth settings
- Open fpsece.ini with some editor (total commander works great on HD2)
-- Below "[PocketPC]" add "HD2=1" (only if you have a HTC HD2)
-- Below "[JOY0KEY]" add "BTPAD=2" where 2 stands for com2 port
--- Just if it doesnt work for your gamepad (you would see when trying to assign keys) add "BTPAD_TYPE=1"
-- save fpsece.ini and delete *.ini files in cfg folder (thats the easiest way)
- Start fpsece and choose the paired gamepad "GAMEPAD"
- Go to first controller settings and assign keys
-- for just you have to select the key on screen and when it says "---" press the button on your gamepad
-- If this doesnt work for you, you need the fixed supporter version and add the btpad_type line i mentioned above

Hey, as the title already mentioned i am looking for someone who is able to build a working driver for the Bluetooth Gamepad BGP100.

Threads about the Gamepad:
http://www.pocketpc.ch/hardware-zubehoer/37787-bluetooth-gamepad-bgp100.html [GER] - Black Panther made a working solution for the HTC Diamond and some other devices. But it doesnt work for the HD2. He already tryed to make it run or a HD2 but it also doesnt work and he doesnt own a HD2 what makes it more complicated.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=586828&highlight=gamepad [ENG] - discussion about the same topic here on xda devs
As there is a coder who knows about bluetooth it would be nice and im sure woth a try to make that bluetooth accessory a working driver
Im willing to help as much as i can but obviously i dont understand too much of it.
That kind of driver is worth a little donate. From my site i promise 10 euro for the one who makes that gamepad working with a HD2. Its not much but at least its some beer Would be nice to see if there are more people who would support it once there is someone who wants to make a driver.

ok, i have made some tests which could help on this topic.
First i connected the bluetooth gamepad with my HD2 the usual way with the on windows mobile 6.5 givin bluetooth programm. I didnt use the gamepads driver for this because it doesnt work this way. the bluetooth gamepad ist now connected as "SPP Slave" via com port "com2". The gamepads led shows that its really connected.
With the programm Comm Log i recorded "com2" while pressing buttons on the gamepad with the following results:
Record as String
UP: E

DOWN: B

So the gamepad actually sends signals to the HD2. The reason why you see each button twice is because first is press and second is release a button.
My question is: is it possible to assign this values as hardware buttons? so an emulator or everything else just believes there are hardware buttons on the HD2?
Awesome, we have progress!
Hopefully someone will be able to create something that either changes to commands to key presses or something like that?
i found this one on the internet. its a driver for the gamepad but just like i mentioned in my first post it doesnt work on HD2. Maybe it helps someone to find a sulotion:
http://rapidshare.com/files/317747530/v1502.rar
You could build a little interface to read from com2 and send those keys to the active application. Then you just need to assign those keys to your favourite game.
hey, thats kinda what i thought of but i only know some basics in java and visual basic without networking. so please if there is someone who knows about how to make a driver help to develop this one
Does the HD2 fits the BGP100 gamepad ?
I would love it too if someone could make a working driver.
Then I order this gamepad immediately .
It doesn't fit by about 5mm.
I'm actually thinking of melting the casing of bgp100 to make it fit the HD2, but that is in case someone will come up with a working driver.
same for me. it doesnt fit to the hd2 but as soon as there is a working driver i will melt or dremel it to fit

This sounds like an obvious question, but have you tried assigning those key numbers in fpsece.ini or trying to map them in morphgear OR adding them through AE Button plus?

thats why im writing here. i just dont know how to do that ... besides that thread i keep on reading other threads about fpsece, morphgear and howtos about keymapping but my time is to rare to find a clear solution. for sure if i find something interessting ill post it here!
Can you tell me what to tell the fpsece ini? one key example might be enough and i will give it a try.
BTW: no i cant just assign the keys in fpsece. like when you start the programm and go to options - joypad - assign buttons ... it just wont work for me. so that tells me the com2 gets a signal but the com2 is not hooked to fpsece somehow.
Don't worry about that, fpsece is weird like that with buttons sometimes.
Go to your fpsece.ini file in the fpsece folder and you'll see a section called [JOY0KEY]
GunconA=
etc
etc
try adding your key codes to some of them e.g. Triangle=49
Good luck!
Start=4b
Select=0
L1=47
L2=0
R1=46
R2=0
Switch=0
Menu=197
Triangle=41
Circle=48
Quadrangle=49
Cross=4a
Left=44
Up=45
Down=42
Right=43

tryed this but it doestn work. the problem stell is to get the signal from com2 to fpsece.
isnt there a way to tell the registry that e.g. hex 48 from port com2 is a hardware button for the whole system?
maybe these ones are helpful:
http://www.mikrocontroller.net/topic/67431 [GER]

Its about the bluetooth chip in the gamepad. since sspl is out maybe someone will be able to find a solution
Just for your information, my MSI BGP100 is working like a charm on my Toshiba TG01 (WinMo 6.5)....
The 3d drivers of the TG01 were successfully hacked to improve the HD2 concerning opengl ES.......
............................................d'you get what I mean for the bluetooth?
lool
I'm sure there are people at XDA that could do it! (or could it be only hardware related?! I can't believe it!)
well it doesnt work on HD2 so far (im not alone with that) and without doing anything it still wont work. for sure htc and the gamepad vendor wont do anything against this problem because htc doesnt care much about software and the gamepad vendors support has been stopped so far i know.
what kind of drivers do you use? if both devices have the same bluetooth chip it may work on HD2 as well, the os is the same.
do you mind to share the driver?
Hey Ben!
With your post here and your good advises, we'll surely have the BGP100 usable with FpseCE soon!
I mean now that we have the codes, Schtruck wants to implement it directly into FpseCE
THANKS!
Thanks for the great news
hello!
i'm very happy to find this thread!!!
i've just bought this gamepad to use it with my HD2...
and like you, i can't use it with FPSECE 0.10...
It work fine with Commlog and i've tried to change the fpsece.ini but...nothing.
i hope so much that the XDA's team could help us...
sorry for my bad english and many thanks to this forum!!!!
see you!!
the new 'supporter' version is supposed to have support the pad through simply pairing it with the phone, but it's not working for me :S
hi!
i'm here to share with you a my idea for an app.
I know there is gremote but my idea is a little bit different...
in my idea the app as 2 installer, obviously, but the pc-side also install a virtual touchpad device, multitouch compatible (if is should be possible emulate a synaptics device we should can use their sw to manage gestures)
in this way we have a "full" multitouch touchpad
another feature is the possibility to rotate manually or with g-sensor the touchpad orientation.
what do you think about it? with our hd2 and a windows7 pc i think it should be awesome!
looking for that too ...

dont consider everybody but you is stupid , we are on a mature forum isnt it
something windows 7 can recognize as multitouch input for the os

gremote it's similar but different...
gremote doesn't support multitouch
gremote doesn't install a driver and delegates gestures to the OS but has it's own gesture...
so lonely ...
i think our only hope can be an update from gbmsoftware...
in deep space nobody hear you screaming ...
Still dreaming of this being developed... Would be so great to be able to use my phone as a touchpad for my computer while use my television as a computerscreen
If you are not looking for multitouch ,"Gremote" is perfect as secondary touchpad.
