smartmovie 4.15 - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

hello people.
The only version of smartmovie compatible with the HTC HD2 is version 4.15. Anyone here can help the users of the HTC HD2 to a crack for smartmovie 4:15

Don't hold your breath on this one. Warez and the like are not allowed on this forum.

It's actually freeware...

HTC Innovation, HTC Tornado: arent they the same thing?

Hey
I went over to the smartphone section just now and i noticed you had two seperate sub-forums for the same phone:
The HTC Innovation (XDA IQ) and the HTC Tornado (SP5,8310,577w)
are these two handsets exactly the same thing? and htc innovation isnt that just their slogan?! its on my sp3i under the battery too!
just thought id point it out!
This was the reason why we created a separate forum for it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=280317
Tornado and Innovation are codenames for two very similar HTC devices, but not exactly the same device, I don't really know the difference:
http://www.mobile-review.com/pda/review/htc-tornado-firstlook-en.shtml
http://www.mobilegazette.com/o2-xda-iq-0605x12.htm
if anyone can point, would be good to know
i think HTC Innovation isn't a product,HTC Innovation just like :"Nokia Conneting People" ,because all new HTC product's label have "HTC Innovation",i have O2 XDA IQ and Qtek 8310,make sure it's HTC Tornado.
request to compare roms
Hi,
We can't seem to make sure whethere these devices are the same or not.
Could someone compare the rom upgrades to make sure?
Thanks in advance!

Almost... but not quite...
I believe that the IQ is a 'sub'-set or perhaps 'super'-set of the Tornado... I've seen the IQ referred to as the HTC Tornado Noble somewhere, and it seems there are slight differences.
Having said that I have used many cabs/apps from the Tornado which all work very well on my IQ!!
Call rasied with HTC
I've raised a call with HTC. They're normally quite helpfull (sometimes a bit slow).
I'll give an update when I get a response.
these phones are the same platform
please unite the forums to save the space and confusion
XDA IQ IS a Tornado
Innovation is a slogan of HTC's that appears on all their Smartphones, not a model name and the XDA IQ IS the HTC Tornado platform as already mentioned by members jsp_m and spkr4thdd.
It has been shown that once CID unlocked the XDA IQ will accept any HTC Tornado rom.
My understanding is that internal hardware-wise the XDA IQ is identical to the i-mate SP5 and Qtek 8310 with even the case being identical but for different branding.
hey
thank you!
the two phones are in fact one and the same! HTC Innovation is the company slogan.
as jsp_m said, unite the forums!
Hi Guys,
I moved all the posts in the innovation forum to tornado and closed the innovation forum for posting.

Petition for official WM6 update

Hey guys, while searching around I came across this petition:
To: HTC Headquarters
We, the undersigned, would like to request that HTC releases an official Windows Mobile 6 Professional ROM for the HTC Universal PocketPC Phone.
We do believe that it is unfair, to say the least, to spend up to $1300 or €1000 for a Pocket PC phone, and not have a proper after-sales support in terms of OS upgrades, just one and a half year afterwards.
We do not understand HTC's decision to provide free WM6 upgrades to other PDA models, such as the HTC Advantage, the HTC TyTn, the HTC S620, the HTC P3300, and the HTC 4350, due to them being focused in messaging, and leaving out the HTC Universal, a PocketPC which, due to it's unique shape and hardware QWERTY keyboard, remains highly focused on messaging, office work, and internet browsing.
Over the past months, a number of "cooked" WM6 ROMs for the HTC Universal were released on unofficial websites. Those ROMs, even though being unofficial and thus having a ton of problems, proved to be superior from WM5, both in terms of PocketPC and phone usability, and numerous people use them for everyday use.
So, we kindly request HTC to consider the possibility of releasing at least a Windows Mobile 6 Professional WWE English ROM for the HTC Universal.
Sincerely,
The Undersigned

HTC is the manufacturer of the device HTC Universal. Imate just rebranded it as JasJar. If HTC doesn't do it. No way I-mate will.

Dear friends
we really need to add a new section for the new Ultimate 9502 because the WM that the imate put is very bad (to me) this is plus the useless additions they put.
really I miss the cooked roms I used to use on my K-jam and really need to have a cooked one on the ultimate 9502
will I wait so long?
thanx

i wish some1 cook a wm6.1 for imate 9502!
This site is about certain PDA-phones, made by a firm called HTC in Taiwan.

Until that changes only HTC devices on this forum.. I-mate now has its devices manufactured by a different firm.. i believe its tech faith wireless.
thanx
but is there any forum 4 the cooked wm 4 the ultimate 9502 ??
I think we should open a forum only when XDA starts to carry it. We are XDA-developers, not HTC-developers.
I don't get why XDA-Devs is kept exclusively HTC. I mean, back in the day, the name made sense because XDA's were the primary (or only?) PPC phones commercially available.
I guess HTC is still the most popular, and nobody wants XDA-Devs to become saturated with a section for every new device, but surely if other devices get popular it'd make sense to allow people a place to cook roms for them? I'm sure some of the gurus on here must have non-HTC devices, and its a shame that they have nowhere to develop them.

Question: Is this legal

Hello,
I'm reading the forum for some months now and I have to thank everybody for the mass of information that can be found here.
My question:
At our company, we have about 70 people all using an HTC P4350 (Herald). A lot of those people like the HTC Touch interface (the HTC home plugin), problem: the Herald don't come with that plugin.
Do you guys thinks that it is legal to install the HTC Home plugin on the Herald?
Thanks for your responses.
The HTC Home Plugin is freeware.

Exactly, it's totally and completely legal, if HTC had minded this then they would have made it harder to get in the first place but they don't, in fact they probably appreciate people using their software on their phones.
OK, thanks for the clarification!
they dont as far as i know just let people dl it from their site havent read their EULA
but i would not call it freeware and any direct inquiries aimed directly at htc would prob get the response that it's not free
i would put in the category HTC dontcareWare

Port Android / WM7 for HD2???

Hi Guys,
This is my first post.... I am firstly thankful to xda team for all their efforts and also to everyone who are working to fine tune WM6 and Android. When will MS learn all this? Damn Windows....(Hope MS is listening)......
Anyway i/everyone am/are totally fed up with WM6... Hope the XDA team is launching Android or WM7 for HTC HD2 (aka LEO) soon... Any NEWS/updates guys????
In short; yes someone (as in a lot of people) is working on both. Welcome to the forums, and check the threads and search function. You will find that threads concerning your questions are quite high in their respective sub-forums. Try and read up before posting, it'll make the stay here quite pleasant. Some people here are tired of answering the same questions over and over, and it'll keep the forums tidy.
very possible but i believe the developers said around end of this year for the android/wp7 on HD2.cant wait......
Well,WP7 is just around the corner.
As for Android,I tried it before but wasn't satisfied because it is maybe interesting at first but later it becomes really boring(Anyway for me).
The HD2's hardware can easily handle WP7 and Microsoft needs to change its mind:just because the HD2 doesn't have a bing key(I think that the problem is about this hardware key.Correct me if I am wrong) this doesn't mean that it is not capable.
@ForceField
Its not just the searchbutton. There are several hardware issues against the "new" mobile concept of MS. Especially the missing sd-card support or better MS don't wan't you to have changeable memory on your device, that might interfere with their "MS marketplace only" app source. That means there has to be much more internal storage in the device itself - like on the iPhone or Palm Pre.
It's definitly easier to become Android on the HD2 since HTC is releasing the nearly similar (hardwarewise) HTC Evo on Sprint - I guess this a nobrainer for the xda-chefs to cook the needed things for that.
microsoft must give an upgrade for htc hd2 because the wm 6.5 is getting boring....some of us loved it but would be great to give a chance to port a wp7 to hd2.. the android operating system is very good too...they made such as good phone as htc hd2 but they gave it away...the next htcs phones doesnt have even sense anymore if i am not doing wrong...after hd2 with sense they throwed away the sense and android came up more famous like HTC Evo or desire..!!!its too bad for such a hi-tech phone to stay forgotten!this phone needs some love so microsoft must give love ;-p and a special gift finally... !!!but at all thanks to god that we have xda-chefs to give us some real dope stuffs to hd2 in nearby ''future''....
ps sorry for my english... ;-p

It is definitely NOT a nobrainer putting Android on the HD2... the EVO may help a little.... but it is not the same hardware as the HD2. The nexus1 is closer hardware-wise to the HD2. They are using the nexus kernel as a starting point for the kernel they've been already working on for months. But they still have alot of work ahead of them. It is not the same as cooking a new rom. They have to port a working linux kernel.
Help......
God.... i am suffering with ORD... please help.
