That only happens whenever I apply a different font. If I apply the stock font, then it'll get back to normal. I'm not sure why it does it or how to fix it though :/
I've tried several different fonts and never had this issue

delete old apk from system/app with android commander then push the new mms, or gmail, or google quick search box to the same directory and reboot. (root explorer can do this)
Moved it to /system/app with root explorer, and set correct permissions... worked beautifully. I was just thinking about pulling this from a cyanogen rom and trying it last night... Lol

you are welcome, yes 100% black much better
can't this be packaged so it is flashable via recovery? I think this is how I've done it in the past with my N1 vs deleting it through ADB and reinstalling a new version?
Ok so with the touch capacitive buttons lighting up via maxisma's app, this mms.apk apparently doesn't wake the screen for notifications. Hence the notification app not working... Can anyone second this?
Edit... Just pushed the stock mms.apk back, this is definitely the issue...

Tried the MMS.Apk had some issues. It would not show MMS messages I was trying to send. I would love a fully functional black SMS. The white is kinda lame.
Just found this thread, thanks so much, been wanting a black google search for a whold. Now I have black search, gmail and mms.

On reboots and task manager clearings, my Black MMS settings restore to defaults. Every time...
Anyone having this problem?
Anyone know how to remedy this?
From the G2X XDA App...

did you try fixing permissions? it worked for me
Hi Guys,
I've been using the windmil wallpaper from the galaxy SII for some time now on my Sensation.
But since yesterday I noticed a bug, one that wasn't there before.
As you can see in the image below (edited image)
When my wallpaper shifts to night, it gets a horizontal line just above the grass of about 1px thick.
The horizontal line is only in the wallpaper at night, i've tried other wallpapers and they all work fine.
I have tried reinstalling it and used other websites to download the windmill.apk from different sources, but no luck.
Any thoughts?
Just reinstal it? I used the wallpaper to and i had the same problem. I just removed it and installed it again. Problem solved

I did reinstall it, as I said in my original post.
From which source did you get the wallpaper?
Anyone else?
Gonna bump once more.
Might be the same problem as for specific widgets. It's happening for some widgets for some reason and only for some people. Did you try changing to another WP and than back?

Hi, thanks for the reply!
I have tried changing it and back again.
Without luck. The strange thing is, it only happens when it's in night mode.
I noticed it happening to the google widget, it's a similar line.
But i can force this one, when i put it to night mode.
I tried a whole lot, but I wondered if it was a specific bug and anyone else encountered it.
Just wondering if anyone else is having an issue with the wallpapers changing on their own. I have done a couple of full wipes and still nothing seems to stick.

Nope, nothing like that for me.
Can I get a straight answer about the peek of homescreen before the lockscreen comes up. Any devs know where I can look to fix that fade in animation coming before the lockscreen? Im using widgetlocker and it still happens. Stock 2.3.3 of course. Please help.
It happens even without widget locker. Someone should help him without sending him a link to cm7 or something. He likes his stock rom. I would like to know even though I rarely use stock. The problem is annoying.

I haven't tried but try turning off animations. It's a problem in the lock screen part of the framework and or the animation part.

Tried to no avail. Thank you for defending me and my stock. I think I'll just move back to CM7 i just found stock alot more stable. If anyone finds anything thanks! But I'll just stick to CM7 i guess.
NP. I've read your other posts about this and no one seemed to answer. If I could help u I would but I don't know how.

Tried to open the flashfire app to install a mod and it just open then closes immediately. Doesn't force closes but doesn't do anything else. Anyone else have this problem? Thinking of redoing everything.

Yes I literally just got this today after trying to fix the Call Standby battery issue, it's ridiculous. This battery life bug is monstrous and the fact this app doesn't open to fix it is driving me crazy. Honestly been so frustrated today over these 2 things haha. If you or anyone has a fix for this, do please reply to my post in this thread so I'll be notified.
Reset the date on the phone.
from what i've gathered from the material theme the beta has expired and in order to use it you have to change the date on your phone to a past date for it to work
ty guys for this. i thought we was screwed. kinda sucks i gotta change date but glad its still working. once again ty for ur quick answers
There's been an update to address the issue.

The update broke the ability to flash zips now. He is aware of the issue, it has something to do with a MD5 check he added to the update and 64 bit systems.
What exact fix are you trying to flash?
The so called fix itself isn't a flash. I'm assuming he wanted to do a fresh install.
Nothing has fixed the drain for me.
