[REQ] "Pinch" or better "Multitouch Gesture" to rotate a App - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hello,
i had the idea of programming a app to "Pinch to Rotate" the Screen...
i doesn't like the automatic rotate function... often you have to wait for it or the screen rotates but shouldn't....
Maybe its possible, no, i'm sure that it should be possible to program something like the Pinch to Zoome apps but just to zoom the screen should rotate!
I should work like the picture rotate feature on Iphone...
The main problem i have is the lack of knowledge to interpret the "multitouch" commands in c# to you it....
maybe there is programer out there that catches on my idea and programm a little tool that just does this for us
Else i'm also open if someone has infos about it to just post it here and i will give a try todo it on my own!
thx

Hi, it is not pinch to rotate, but "multitouch gesture to rotate": LMT
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=629263
See the first post for supported gestures. You can assign the internal rotate command to any gesture. When testing the rotation please use the latest version, because v0.7 had a bug in rotation code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6124010&postcount=349
edit: If you want to code a mt app in c#, you can use scilor's mt dll:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=595982&highlight=multitouch+demo
But you'll only get the touches when your app is the foreground app. What you want to archive is a background app or a service...

ok, thx for pointing me to this...
but i don't really know what i should do with this....
the gestures didn't work correctly...
closing lmt didn't work... learning new gestures?! no idea how to do this to use for rotating?!
double line up, don't closing opera?!
i will also post this in the thread maybe it a problem of my understanding of using this tool...

this program was also running in background..
so that should work?! or i'm wrong?!
the Pinch to Zoom gesture should be something oder than a rotate gesture or?

This app does not process the mt touches itself. It only activates the builtin zoom function for the specified app via registry (add the app to the whitelist for htc zooming).

oh... ok.. thx!
i didn't was aware of this...

[REQ] top-down, down-top sliding app

I am still using UltimateLaunch even with all these new UI's out there for the customization abilities and small footprint (only have 64mb on the i760). I am looking for someone to develop an application that I can launch using the gestures feature of UL. The application(s) would slide in from the top or bottom to reveal a quicklauncher, task manager, etc. This would be similar to Android. If anyone could develop this or if there is one out there that I am missing, please let me know.
erm have you tried FtouchSL ?
it 's just what you need
I've been thinking of doing something like this for a while with icon based panes.

Hey ather,
I don't think that is what he is talking about. Keep in mind that UL does have gesture support, so it isn't about the gesture itself, but rather a program (possibly with a nice transition animation) that can attach to UL as some sort of an addon (like he said, think of the Android launcher menu).
@joshrys
what you could do is to install Slither's cube. It can be easily installed and has a very smooth transition effect. Just associate the Up-Down/Down-Up with UL and you should end up with a nice interface. Just my two cents...
ah sorry my bad, didnt read the whole thing properly, he wanted to use the UL's gestures
Thanks for the suggestions, i currently have IE set to launch with a down swipe and the comm manager with the up swipe, I am just looking for an app that will slide down and up with the swipes for launching things. FTouch is a great program, i have used the trial before, but not necesarrily what I'm looking for. UL is great, the up/down is just about the only thing I think it's lacking. it goes left/right, why not up/down?
Have you tried MortButtons? You can configure it to do what you want and it has a task manager and it's skinnable.

Let me see if I understood correctly... you are basically asking for UL to behave like a cube (not the Touch cube, but an actual six-sided cube [maybe even more sides]). I have waited for something like that for the longest time. The Touch cube (Slither's, Byka, etc) has been the closest thing I have seen to my "dream". However, just like UL, there is no Up-Down/Down-Up swipe launchers.
It would be nice to have something like that without having to install multiple apps to get the wanted effect(s).
I guess if the programmer of UL can release his code, it might be easy to modify in such a way as to adapt the missing swipe functions....
Is there anyone that is willing to give this a shot? (I cannot program if my life depended on it )

Landscape mode without sliding QWERTY keyboard

This is my fisrt post on this forurm, so first of all - I want to welcome everybody
Now the problem...
I have got one question: Is there any program or other "tip" that will allow me to switch between landscape and portrait mode by pressing specified button (with QWERTY keyboard hidden all the time) ?
Sometimes I want to use landscape mode, but i don't need QWERTY keyboard. And as we all can say - Vox without slided out QWERTY keyboard is more handy, shapely and graceful
Anyone can halp me?
Celetask can do it for you - no idea if there is a shortcut option somewhere. Usually the applications that would benefit from landscape allow to rotate the screen content by themselves (e.g. TCPMP).

like longpress home or camera it doesnt affect normal button function if you set it correctly!
I've posted an app somewhere long ago, but I can't remember where. I'll try to find it! (unfortuately xda-devs statistics only show the last 500 post in my history, so I can't find it in there^^)
Maybe this should help -> http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Others/RBC9-Landscape-40862.shtml
frauhottelmann - I'll be pleased But don't hurry or something, i won't die without it ;P
torrentonly - I belive that application is for touchscreen devices (look when "Start" is)
Great thanks o all of you!
I use this little app (2,9 kb). I don't remember where I have found it, but I think that is freeware because it is minimalist and don't have any credits.

[REQ] Slingplayer fix for WM 6.5.3?

Hi...
has anyone got a solution for the bottom softkeys/menu and icons on 6.5.3..when using the Slingmobile app?
thanks
Singh
I second the request for help on this. The program is very difficult to use without the bottom row of buttons.
Moved as not software release requests go to Q&A
i would also like to see some solution for this problem
Nothing seems to forthcoming. Anybody?
Come on guys...
Someone must have a solution?
I can't go into the ins and outs.. but lets just say... v1.6 is the one that we all be using.
So.. we need to fix this version and not wait for a new version. It's not going to be fixed in a newer release.

Difficult or impossible? Without the bottom row, I cannot bring up the channel panel to change channels. Is there a way to change channels at all without that panel?

The only way I can get into full screen is to open the keyboard. Of course that's not totally practical having to have my keyboard open all the time for full screen. Have you tried something like Gyrator 2 to maybe see if when Gyrator puts it into landscape, the fullscreen activates?
I have a Touch Pro 2 BTW.

The keyboard will do the remote control tasks for you. I believe the keystrokes are the same as for the keyboard on the Desktop version:
The Numbers type numbers
G is Guide
Up and Down Arrows change channels.
X is exit, etc. I don't know where to get a full list.
Also, I set Slingplayer to Auto-Rotate using G-Config. The Window Class name is SlingClient. This gets me to full screen without opening the keyboard.
That's about the only way I can make it so I can use it.
If anybody wants the files in the program's folder I can send them. Just PM me.

Hmm, strange. I added Slingplayer to the Whitelist for autorotate, using G-Config and it's not rotating. I reboot and looked at the registry and can see it there(SlingClient), but Slingplayer just won't rotate unless I open the keyboard.

Hmm, weird, it stopped working for me as well. To be honest, I can't remember when it stopped, but it used to work. Perhaps it's the standard 6.5 builds that do it.
Well, this makes it even more important to fix this issue. I have submitted a support request to Slingbox, so we'll see what they have to say.
They fixed it!!!! YAY!!!
http://download.slingmedia.com/player/mobile/windows-phone/SlingPlayer-Mobile-2.0.0.14.CAB
I did some modifications on SlingPlayer.exe 1.6 version to at least look better on my phone.

True Full Screen viewing in PDF ?

Good day all,
i have searched the forums thoroughly and have been unable to find an answer.
I was looking for the best reader and after seeing allreader and mobipocket, i actually dont mind adobe pdf and using my finger to pull the pages down.
however, my query is if there is a hack/fix to allow true fullscreen for viewing, removing the bottom bar as well (as this bar is still there in fullscreen mode)
What would also be useful is if it were able to program the vol up and vol down buttons for scrolling
Now what are the odds?? Half an hour ago I was looking for absolutely the same thing with a friend of mine. We weren't able to find anything similar. I would appreciate some help as well!
I am looking the same thing
Yeah, me too.
We all are, lol
i gave up searching for a working pdf reader, i just convert them to .txt files and open them with alreader...
but if someody finds a real pdf reader I'll kiss his shoes
comicreader mobi has real fullscreen support but it doesn't support pdf yet. you have to convert them to cbz or cbr files (make images from each pdf page, add them to a zip and rename to cbz or to a rar and rename to cbr).
You can disable the toolbar in full screen mode via registry. It looks really good once disabled. I am on the train now, so cannot remember the keys but will reply again with the keys unless somebody else posts before me.
i will begin my search again tonight to find one.
i tried the allreader way before posting, and the tap bottom of the screen to turn pages is very nice. I will play with font size etc and see ho wi feel about that.
however it would be so easy to read pdf's from emails etc without converting if i could get the full screen reader.
don't get me wrong, its very usable as is, but such a waste of screen real estate while reading the pdf

that would be amazing.
looking forward to seeing the registry hack
People always knock wm, but you gotta love the tweaking you can do.
There you go:
HKCU/Software/Adobe/AdobeReaderLE.25/KeepToolbarInFullScreen
From "1" to "0"
-->Softreset
On Adobe Reader-->Tools-->View-->Full Screen
Double Tap to exit fullscreen.
Credits go to this post (german)

here you go
VolDpad: Use the volume buttons as a d-pad
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=552947
good job pal, thanks a lot
hmmm
itsa bit tedious to click the volume button that often as it only scrolls 3 lines per click.
anyways to make it scroll a whole page, or better yet, enable kinetic scrolling in pdf or enable that feature in allread that allows you to change pages by tapping the bottom right part of the screen?
thanks for all the help
Trash the LE Reader and search for the Adobe Reader for PocketPc 2.0 recompiled version for ARM processors. I hope this is legal, because Adobe seems to hide this version somehow. It has:
-Reflow
-Full Screen
-Tap to Scroll
I use this now for several years and it is still the best.

I don't get the part with "ARM processors"
Yes this is the right version. I installed this one (german version) and it didn't work on my HD2. After a longer search I found a version recompiled for ARM processors and that version worked fine. I recommend you try this one first and I will look if I find a link to the other version.^^
EDIT: OOOOPS sorry, I was wrong with the recompiled version. It was TCPMP recomp for ARM. Acrobat reader 2.0 should work fine.

change screen is great as are other rotate apps like gyrator.
But the OP was asking for something that adds rotation to an app via a reg change then soft reset. BSB tweaks does exactly this.
You can actually do it yourself without the need for any extra apps... see my tutorial here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589570&highlight=rotating+registry
Personally though... i use gyrator. It runs in the background yes but doesnt take up much resource. The reason i use it is because i simply set up ONE rule that rotates EVERY screen through all 4 orientations depending on which way you hold it using the g-sensor. Portrait, Landscape right, landscape left and upside down. One rule and all is done!
really looking fora single app not a tweak app for loads of tweaks one that doesnt run in the back ground,

I understand what you mean, but BsB Tweaks won't actually tweak anything unless you make it. You can just use it for adding apps to the registry for rotation and/or zooming.
