eyy!
i know you can switch of HTC-sense by going to 'HOME' in the options menu,
but isnt it possible doing this with a switch app?
cause i want my SPB-Gprs-monitor home tab back,
to see the real-time gprs usage,
but just for that, after this i want to easily switch on HTC-sense,

Hey guys!
Hehehe, i need some help! Google did not help!
I have a Samsung i600 WM 5 smartphone!
All i wanna know is:
1. How to disconnect a data call?(Because its stays connected eating battery power)
2. What app can i use to close the programs? (Force close?) When i go to my task manager, all the programs are running, eating battery power
Im use to Pocket PC OS, and the things are much easier to find!!
Thanks alot!
To disconnect a data call you need to press the end call button.
To close programs, you need to use some task manager (for example celetask).
3125
not trying to be smart, but if you pick up a 3125 you can load the ppc os onto it and use ppc programs and smart phone programs, works great.
However if you are a heavy texter, I can understand why you would not want to.

Hi there, whe i press the call button (end call) the display switches off....
Its a Samsung i600, so i think the hardware button is not mapped for ending the data connection!
Ill check celetask!
Thanks
Hello friends, I got the WM6.1 Plane Jane Final by Ricky installed on my Cingular 2125 and I'd like to change the tabs on my home screen.
I have used the CHome Settings tool in Settings tab to hide a few tabs that I don't need (My Faves, Internet etc). When I exit the CHome Settings program, it asks me whether to save and I always say "yes". When I am back to the home screen, I see it changed.
BUT, on restart, I lose everything ! All the default tabs along with default pages are back. So, is there a way I can make this permanent?
Is it a known problem, is there a solution for it? I tried searching, but didn't help much. Thanks for any help.
i have the same question
but sometimes i restart the cellphone it was still Ok
i have couple of quick questions?
1) how can I make the menus rotate without having to open the keyboard.
2) when the phone goes in standby, i have to open the keyboard to make it come back, none of the buttons work. is there a way around this.
thanks please help
1) I dont think there is a way to just rotate menus without rotating the entire screen
2) according to the pithiness of the previous question I would ask - which buttons did you try?
Kentoplaya
Take a look at a program called Gyrator. I think it will rotate various screens as you were seeking. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like what you are looking for. Here is a link:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-gyrator.html
you could also do it via a button which i like because gyrator rotates sometimes when you dont want it to. If you are willing to go through the registry than you can go to HKLM/System/GDI/Rotation and change "HideOrientationUI" to 1 (decimal). and after you do that go to Settings->personal->Buttons and it should say <Rotate Screen>
Edit: Change it to 0. It should be 1 by default.
have mine set to rotate to left with one key press (Long Send)
Setting -> Buttons -> Button 1(Hold) : <Rotate Screen>
You can also set the Short & Long press of PPT button to go into the Screen:General tab, but then you still would have to make your selection and then press ok.
Hey this works pretty well. I think some programs may display funny, but a cool tip. thx.
Question: how do I remove the "Settings Tab" from the Home Screen Tab Slider?
I can get to the Settings by pressing the Windows-Logo physical button at the bottom of the phone and then choosing Settings... hence I don't need the Settings Tab on the slider. In Settings > Personalize > Home Screen Tabs ... can un-tick all but Home and Settings ... I want to do the equivalent of un-ticking Settings.
tried searching but get lots of results on how to get rid of everything else but the settings tab.
ANSWER: found it
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > HTC > Manila > Configuration > # (where # is a number from 0 to 16 based on where you have the Settings Tab in the Home Screen Tabs slider order)
Name-----------Data
================
Enable..............1
PageName.........Manila://settings.page
Title.................Settings
Change the Enable to a 0 (00000000)
WARNING: will need to re-enable this flag to add and remove tabs to the Home Screen Tabs slider ... but good way to stop someone from playing with my phone and adding the twitter addition.
You cant get rid of it (and it makes sense). Tell me p.ex. how you would access the windows-settings without the tab (unless you didnt activate "show normal settings in startmenu" via BSBTweaks or similar). Thats the reason why HTC made in untickable.

Couldn't you just click start and select Settings, even with a stock HD2?
Hi there.. How do we make the icons under Settings screen to be in alphabatic order..?
Ooops
I thought I have a smart idea...
The hint with removing the settings tab in the slider brought me to an other point.
I was always annoyed be the Home-Tab. I dont need it, since I can reach the home screen with the Home key (hardware key). So it is redundant. At lease I thought so.
I removed the Home-Tab - it worked immediately! And from that moment on the I couldn't reach the homescreen anymore.
Conclusio: Good Tweak - with unexpected result.
At least I am no longer annoyed by the home tab.

Hey guys.
Wanted to see if anyone could figure out a way to remove the recent apps from the notification pull down menu. It's not a huge annoyance, but it takes up a lot of space and I never use it (usually cos I forget it's there).
I searched the forum but couldn't find anything relevant to the Inspire.
Would be much appreciated
Also, I do understand that the various power notification mods out there give you the option to remove/add the recent apps, but I prefer the nice sense power widgets What can I say, I'm a sucker for sense.
This involves modifying the Sense framework, which can only be done if rooted...
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Why prefer sense power widgets when to turn WiFi on when your in the browser for example, you have to exit to home screen, open settings, select wireless and network, etc...-then go back to what you were doing. Or just pull notification bar down where ever you are and press 1 button?
Just wondering.

I think he's talking about the 'recently used apps', not the toggles.
I too support this. Cos long press on home anyways brings up the recent apps.
By the way, if u use GingerBeast by dilli, u won't have have these. And u won't have sense either.
