ShootMe can't get past SU request - Fresh 2.0d - Hero CDMA Themes and Apps

I'm running Fresh 2.0d, and this is the first time I'm trying to use ShootMe on it. When I launch it, it goes to the SU request page, but it's completely black and blank. Then it says that the SU permissions app is hanging and asks me to force close.
I tried:
-uninstalling shootme, reinstalling
-clearing cache on SU permissions app (can't uninstall, I think it's in the ROM)
-rebooting
Still not working.
Now when I launch it, it just hangs at 'trying to start server', then it says "Sorry! ShootMe is not responding" and asks me to force close.
Help please.

Try going into Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging (Make sure USB Debugging is checked) then try again ;D

Thanks for the idea, but same results.

RESOLVED.
I just went into advanced task manager, killed SU permissions app, killed shootme, then launched ShootMe again. Success. It properly went through SU permission again. I clicked on 'always allow'.
Weird - seems like SU permissions had to be killed first.

Unchecked "Allow Automatic Updating" - Still updates regardless

Is the anyway that someone knows of on how to stop autodating from the market for SU? I had 3.05 installed but uninstalled and installed the SU 3.02.apk and for the moment, no problems... I have removed 3.05 over the week end and went to the market and unticked the "allow automatic updatiny"... double checked twice to make sure it was not checked and somewhere between then and this morning it updated automatically anyway. I keep all of my apps updated, but this is one that I don't want updated until and newer version or the bugs are removed from this one. Question: can anyone tell me how to stop SU 3.05 from updating even though "allow automatic updating" in NOT checked? Thanks!
I had the same thing happen. I am positive I unchecked it, restarted rechecked it, the auto update was still unchecked. Then it decided to do the update anyways.. I found that odd. I just uninstalled the updates again to make sure I don't end up with the Force Close issue again. Auto updates is unchecked again, see what happens...
Download an older, working copy to your SD card. Uninstall 'su' from the Market. Now, install the copy from your SD card. There will be no link to the Market this way and therefore no auto-updating.

I want to protect myself from this issue. How would I download an older working copy and how do I install it from my sdcard?

The first install of SU on my phone was through a downloaded zip and installed while in recovery, when I did revolution. It automatically linked itself to the market somehow. My auto update is still unchecked so all is good for now. Not sure how it linked itself, and auto updated.
My copy of "su" was also installed similarly, via recovery (following revolutionary.io's instructions). I see no indication that it is linked to the Market though. When I look at "My Apps" in the Market, it's not listed.
My version is "Superuser v3.0-beta3 (33)".
Mine also installed through revo but it is listed under my apps - in fact it is listed as wanting an update.
If you have Titaniumbackup Pro you could try severing the market link that way.
How specifically?
After auto updating last week to SU 3.05 was nothing but a pain with all the fc's... So I followed the suggestions of another member of this forum and uninstalled the update. D/led SU 3.02 and placed it on my SDcard and installed com.noshufou.android.su-3.02.apk on 10/17/11... Worked great for almost 2 completed days. Not 1 FC's... "Allow automatic updating" was NOT checked. Re-booted and checked again, NOT checked... About 30 minutes ago I pulled down the "notification bar" and SU along with 3 other apps had been "Successfully updated"? How in the **** did that happen. This **** is getting old... After uninstalling the auto updated 3.05 and manually installing the 3.02.apk file, and without a doubt in my mind that "allow automatic updating" for SU was NOT checked. What is allowing the SU 3.05 (FC City) to update from the market? I might add that whenever I uninstalled the 3.05 update I was left with SU 2.3.6.3 at that point I used Root Explorer to install the 3.02.apk, ran ROM Manager "fix permissions" and for several days the market didn't auto update and my system ran fine. Unchecked "allow automatic update" for SU it was pushed to my phone and now I'm back to square one. Why the **** is android market ignoring this and pushing the SU update anyway? Is there any way that anyone knows of to stop or prevent SU 3.05 update from being pushed to my phone without my permission? Thanks!

[Q] superuser permission message

whenever an app gets root access a message pops up saying "(app name) has been granted superuser permissions"
how do i disable this message? i could on my old rom in the superuser app, but i cant find the option to on this rom. im currently on running version 1.10.21 MIUI on my droid incredible.
Superuser App > settings > uncheck notification. If not working for you try to mention what version is it and a screenshot of settings screen.
Note: Disabling this notification is considered very bad security practice because if some malware tries to get super access you won't detect that.

Superuser got updated (problems again)

Of course superuser got updated again and everything goes crazy.
Titanium backup can't get root after this new superuser updates today. What to do what to do?
I was planning to go to the previous version by using titanium backup but i can't use it because of no root..
stupid superuser...
Have you tried running superuser to allow it to enable root access for itself?
I've just updated it, ran it, set auto response to allow then ran ES File Explorer and Link2SD and everything works.
automatic response is on allow set.
link2sd works, but titanium backup doesn't and now neither busybox.
i manually installed from recovery this:
su-bin-3.1-arm-signed.zip
Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip
but i still can't obtain root with titanium backup and busybox.
what else to do?
Try checking the superuser app on the market. See if there are any other reports about this issue. If not, then email developer via the available options on the app page.
In my case with sony live with walkman w19i, I need to always enable usb debugging to get it work.
If I disable usb debug, then I'll get problem like yours.
Please report this bug. Don't know how to contact the dev,,,,,
I have also performed the following:
Settings -> Apps - Superuser -> Force stop -> Clear data -> Open su and update binaries.

I need help with deleting software

So some apps I was able to disable bit the app manager doesn't give me the option to uninstall them and sometimes they will start running again.
Example AASA servies,All-State file share, ANT +DUT, Bluetooth MIDI Service, I have quite a few.
try uninstaller app, or clean master (there's an option to remove unnecessary app)
cleaner app may help, if not, try Avast cleanup and boost (I'm using Clean master Boost and App lock, it's quite good)
those are system apps, you cant just uninstall them. you need root, then you can. using root spps thst can, or just using a root file explorer, just ling oressing then pressing delete
If you are rooted, don't uninstall any system apps without knowing what r u doing .Because uninstalling some system apps may cause your system unstable.
A difficult but perfect solution! Always works
First root your device(there are multiple tutorials available about how to root your device, it is lengthy but work all the time).
Install android sdk on your pc.
Connect your PC with android phone.
You have to turn on USB debugging mode on your phone(This can be done by going to settings>> About Phone>>Tap Build Number multiple times to see the Developer options>>After opening Developer Options, You can see the USB Debugging).
Launch ADB.exe on your PC(from default SDK position). Mine is installed in E:\android-sdk.
Click the Up+Shift button and right click, it will open the Command menu in the current location.
Type Adb Shell, it will start MS DOS for your device, then type cd system/app (it will open the applications) and then type ls (to see installed apps).
Now use rm appneedtoberemoved.apk to remove the desired app

App does not install another app

I have installed a downloaded apk from the file manager (by enabling it from the "install unknown apps" menu). The problem is that I want to use this app that I've installed in order to install another app, but it's impossible. The installed app does not appear in the "install unknown apps" menu so I can enable it, and in its properties and permissions it only shows that it can access and modify files. It also does not pop an error message, it just doesn't do anything when i press the install button. The apk itself is not corrupted since it works perfectly on another phone and a tablet (i've also tried re-downloading and reinstalling it a couple of times), I've restarted the phone, I've hard-reset the phone... still nothing. My phone is not rooted (but then again so are the other two devices on which it works perfectly), and there is no antivirus installed. Even the device's security option from the maintainance menu is disabled. Any ideas?
Yes, each app has to be enabled to be able to install other apps. I.e. if you download APK from browser, and try to install it from file manager (i.e. ES explorer or such) it will tell you ES has no permission to install other apps... you have to enable it for each app that is going to install APKs.
Exactly. In order to install the apk I give the necessary permissions to the file manager and it successfully install the app (let's call it app1). But then I need app1 to install another app (let's call it app2) which does not happen in my s8+ (but there is no problem with my other devices which are also not rooted). The problem is that in my other devices app1 appears in the "install unknown sources" menu so it can install app2. On the s8+ app1 does not appear on this menu so there is no way I can give it permission to install app2.
I am not sure, but I vaguely remember that it asked me... I tried installing, and it popped up notification that I need to set permission so I just did... I am not sure where in settings that is
