Never done it because I have multiple webcams, but the .apk is called USB Webcam in market and their homepage is http://www.placaware.com/?page_id=6
Market comments suggest it works but is a pain to setup.

Wow that works rather well.
thanks for that.
you can use z2remote to control they're devices online. you can actually connect to the device wherever they are as long as you have permission.

Remote..

A mate of mine has App called I-remote for the Iphone (you may have to google it because it won't let me post any outside links)
I have searched everywhere i can think of with no luck.. so i was wondering if any of you know of something like this for the HD2?
Many thanks in advance..

I don't know who that us.
(said in a Brian Butterfield voice).
I'm assuming it allows you to remotely control your phone. If that's the case then you want the excellent MyMobiler from http://www.mymobiler.com/
Alternatively, you may be asking to remote a PC from your phone. For that, you want Remote Desktop, which comes with the device.
It's better than a box!
(said in a Brian Butterfield voice).
PS. If you don't know who Brian Butterfield is, look for him on YouTube
Actually, I've google for it and see what it is now, and it's neither of the above. (You should still look up Brian Butterfield though )
A similar app exists on xda somewhere, so I'm sure that someone will be able to point you in the right direction. I can't remember what it's called though, so I can't help
I think this should suit your needs...
http://www.mobilesrc.com/mobileremote.aspx
I get there in the end
Thanks for the reply... i've seen that one.....(i may just get it anyway) My pc is just a media server, which is hooked to to my TV, All i want to be able to do is access my Music over my Network via my phone without the need to have the TV on.
I can see why you got that app now (after a search) use this search string in google and choose the top link "apple itunes remote" that will give you the software i was on about..
Okay, I get what you're after now (this thread has turned into an archive of "remote" apps! lol)
You can do this with VLC and this...
http://sourceforge.net/projects/vlcremote/
I don't know of any that control iTunes, but I wouldn't imagine you want something specific to an Apple product on a Windows device, so I'm guessing that VLC will be good enough for your needs.
Hope this helps
Cheers matie... I don't use i tunes... just windows media player....
I did find this alloysoft.com but just looking to see if it will run on the HD2 (winmo 6.5) ...
You need "1-2 Remote" (http://www.sfr-software.de/12remoteen/) It interfaces with your itunes and WM player. I use it myself. Very good prog.
Cheers
Also, check out G-Remote - very simple remote for XBMC, WinAmp, or an other program in a sexy(ish) interface!
What makes it stand out for me is that you can browse your music/videos on your PHONE, click play, and it launches on the PC.

Hey, dont you Guys dont know that already a remote desktop aplication is installed on The HTC HD2. De name of the app is:
Remote Desktop Mobile
De app is in the Extra options

Best VNC like app for HD2 ?

Looking for a VNC app for Windows Mobile wich can acces the Pc by the phone ?
What progs are out there ?
It should come with Remote Desktop already installed. That works a treat
yeah how does that work exactly because I didn't really got that working, should I run an application on the PC aswell?
Well i think soo!
The app is there for iphone for example! so there should be a simular to WM ?
I havnt yet found any app, thats why im here
You have to enable remote desktop connections on your PC and then the remote desktop app that comes as standard on your phone will work. This has been a basic function for WM phones for a long time.
(You will also need to allow traffic on port 3389 through your firewall, if you have one.)
This version works fine for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=445903
I use .netvnc app (cannot post link but google it its first hit)
You have to ENABLE it for a GIVEN login ID on your PC. You will be prompted for this ID when you use the RDC app on the HD2

i have aproblem with keyboard! How can i open it in full screen mode?
Thanks mate i will now read and try
can you post a link please?
Hi,
I have the same problem with keyboard. When I enter Full screen I cannot activate it or go out of fullscreen mode.
Is it possible to connect with higher resolution than 800 x 480 ?
Is there any alternative client ?
iPhone with jaduu or mocha vnc is great. Why there is no good software for HD2 :/ ?
Hi, im new here.
Using remote desktop has a few problems. Especially the fact it has no keyboard. Also sound is missing. Another problem is that the remote desktop installed to basic editions if windows (on the pc) does not support remote server, it can only be used as a client to another pc. I found a patch someone on this forum made than can get around this problem. But despite the fact mine connects fine, i rarely use it as it has very little functionality!
If it is important that you can connect to your pc i hear vnc is much better for it as it has full functionality. Dont know if there is a similar free version available as vnc is about £50.
hooope this helps buddy
Keyboard: use the on-screen-keyboard or a BTK with your HD2, works like a charm.
Resolution: Fairly sure the answer is no.
Why use vnc when you have RDC, its waaaaay better.
VNC does not limit resolution. That makes RDP useless for me :/
There is another solution but I have not tried it yet
Z2 Remote2PC I will try it today
---
Can anybody start this java app -- VNC+ ?? I only get "press any key" and keyboard doesn't do the trick :/
website
rdmplus . com / vnc
I have tested GRemote Pro .. but cant get it working, and its Damnnnnnn slow
Real NVC havnt found one yet? can any one link?
The Bulit in software in hd2 .cant get it to connect to my pc (No damn good spet by step guide )

can you use your winmo as a webcam?

is this possible ?? i have a tg01 and im hoping to use it as a webcam

Warelex Mobiola Webcam
tinycam, but thats more of a netcam. It's on the boards here, and I've commented on the post if you wanna just look through my posts.
Make sure you are installing the software for any of these applications to the phone as well as the desktop/laptop. It should prompt you to install it to the phone during the regular installation. You will likely have to check your phone during the installation and hit accept.
You can also try webcamera plus. Its not free, but google is your friend.

[Q] DLNA for WP7 - Please!!!!

I would pay a premium price for a good DLNA streaming application for my WP7. Anyone writing one??
There is the DLNA app for LG devices.
Somewhere on this forum someone has cracked them to work on all other devices, so you could try searching for that?
Isn't DLNA hardware based with software ? If I understand it correctly, you need hardware AND software to enable DLNA

DLNA is a protocol - its a superset of UPNP.

Thanks, but I`m not interested in cracked software or jailbreaking devices. I want a "proper" application available on the marketplace.

In that case you won't get it until at least mango, as there is no support for sockets
Link Cabinet for IS12T (Fujitsu-Toshiba)
Recently released IS12T have DLNA function which called "Link Cabinet".
I predict its function by concidering existing Toshiba's other smart phone or MS's official DLNA client applications :
And I investigated IS12T on au's showcase, I found "Link Cabinet" seems to be DLNA rendering application.
au commited they won't enclose their own application (Japanese carier offtenly try to exclude other users by original features), so the Link Cabinet might be released for general.

I'd love to see a DLNA app, too. I'm running Mango, and would be happy to test one out. Now that Mango is close, I hope someone will step up and suggest they've got a solution.
i would love to see it built in, as well in zune software.
i just downloaded connected media DLNA app by htc in market place but when i start it tells me my phone is not supported ...
htc hd7 7720 mango

I searched in zune for this app and could not find it. Are you sure of its name?
I have an LG phone. The DLNA app is called "Play To". And according to LG, it is "strongly associated with Windows 7 (desktop)". So that means it will not stream to anything else, including xbox, blu-ray players, etc. -Almost- useless.
Hopefully Mango allows for a proper robust DLNA application.
