Bluetooth must stay within inches? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Ok here is the deal ...bluetooth devices must stay within a few inches of touch pro to stay connected if i move it farther than that i loose signal and it disconnects i have paired multipule devices and its the same outcome.. So how do i figure out if it is an antenna or something shorted inside phone or the bluetooth chip?
I have tried a htc bluetooth 6.5 drive cab i found but it did not help. Have also tried numerous settings in advanced config to no avail. Have also reinstalled alltel rom from htc to make sure it was not a problem with the rom i was useing.. Any help at all is greatly appreciated...
Alltel touch pro
mighty rom 6.5
spb mobile shellm / mskip
is all that running

the bluetooth chip is the cpu itself these qualcomm cpu's got bluetooth and wifi and 3g integrated into the cpu so my bet would be antenna

2 meters or even more!
My HTC Touch Pro (HTC Raphael 100) can stay more than 2 meters (may be 2.5 meters) to my Sony VAIO VGN-CR23G, with ActiveSync still connected (internet via ActiveSync).
HTC Touch Pro T7272 :
ROM : HTC 1.90 (stock rom)
ActiveSync
Sony VAIO VGN-CR23G :
OS : Microsoft Windows 7 ULTIMATE (Release Candidate, build 7100)
Bluetooth : Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (from Sony support page)
Windows Mobile Device Center

How to check antenna
Ok how do i check the antenna?

Trouble pairing TomTom Bluetooth GPS with XDA2s

As can be seem above, im having mucho trouble pairing successfully with my XDA2s (Win Mobile second 2003 edition ver 4.21.1088 (build 14132)
(The receiver is fine as I have paired it with other devices) It picks it up in the wizard on the xda but with a question mark against it and when I try to go to the next stage it keeps saying service discovery was unsuccessful
Any ideas?
let the receiver drain totoally then the recharge it fully an try again
as a metter of interest what makes u think that will work? It wont work even with the power supply plugged into it?
Could it not be the software on the xda2s as it wouldnt work on my friends identical model either.
I did have a rikaline 6031 x7 which worked no problem on the xda2s though
Strange and stranger
It might work because: By draining the GPS, it resets to factory defaults.
This is the only way ie. to get a Holux GR-230 / DConnex DC-230 come back to live when you acidentally messed with baudrate & protocol at the same time (on some GPS Rom versions that is).
Nope, that didnt work either, its still showing on the xda as having a problem
Just a thought but have you enabled the Receive all Beams function under the connection tab ? :?:
disabling the "receive all incoming beams" is only applicable when using COM1 (ie via a wired GPS).
BT GPS's mostly (standard anyway in ROM 1.72) connect via COM5 (the outbound port).
Also: try the Blue Angel (the XDA2s is a Blue Angel right?) forum
Make sure you download the latest GPs driver for the XDA series from the tomtom website. Worked for me.

Safecom Wi-fi card don't work with WM 5 1.60b - HELP

Hello I have big problem with my SDIO Wi-fi card!
I bought Safecom card SDIO for Wlan and I have installed WM 5 1.60b 96 on my Qtek 2020 and card just does not work! The blue signal light just does not blink - as it should! So I baddly needed Wi-fi and I downgraded to WM 2003SE - where the card worked - perfectly. I could pull it out and plug it in with no errors, but here when I instaled drivers it said it were not ment for this tipe of OS - like almost all programs! I turned to manufacturer and they told me it was only for WM 2003 - not even 2003SE!?!
I saw similar post for the problem and it said that they use WM 5 1.6a - but with that version I had alredy have had quite a bit probems with phone operation - it didn't work. Help me please - I just cannot downgreade to WM 2003SE any more - I can't stand OS with non persistent memory, excell with no graphs, poorer graphics, no power point... any more!
PLEASE HELP ME! ANYONE!

I have a Magician - Which Phone next? (with Skype)

I have used a Magician (Qtek S100) daily for years and its been a great phone.
I now use skype as a home phone and want a newer HTC device that supports WiFi so that I can use it at home as a cordless phone.
Used as a business phone daily for calls/ contacts/ calendar and also for mp3/ webcasts from the memory chip.
Must be the same size as the S100 as the others are too big.
1) Which new models do you suggest?
2) Does anyone use Skype over WiFi from a HTC device? How is the performance?

BT connection to ActiveSync only works once

I can sync my ATT FUZE to AC via USB with no problems. I can then connect via BT. Later on, BT no longer works. FUZE says "connected", notebook says not connected. If I delete the association, and start over with USB, then BT will work again, but won't stick.
OS = Vista 32 Biz (not SP1)
PC = Sony VAIO, with the Toshiba BT stack removed, working otherwise fine with uSoft BT stack
Same problem here with Vista and the MS stack. In fact I have given with BT sync and use USB. This way I avoid this problem and I also keep the phone charged (as a workaround for the appalling battery performance)
I had the identical problem before with the Toshiba stack and a Treo 750, so don't think it is a WM / HTC issue, though I wonder what makes them think they are connected. I think it is actually with AS, but don't know how to fix.
