Best Discrete BT Ear Piece - General Topics

I'm getting a little frustrated looking for a newer BT in-the-ear headset to replace my Voyager 855. Every BT headset that's small and discrete is not A2DP. I can only find big bulky over-the-ear headphone types everywhere i look. Anyone know of a headset no bigger than the Voyager 855 that will do A2DP? I don't even care if its mono (I hardly ever use the included second earpiece my 855 has) on acct i'm streaming talk radio into it most of the time..it just needs to be small.
Thanks

Bluetooth earphones

Can anyone recommend decent BT earphone - not headphones for the Trinity?
I'm looking to replace the HTC headset so mic and remote would be extras but not essential.
Surely spending money on good BT earphones is more worth it than buying the USB to jack converter and good earphones - loads of wires!
Also, I assume the pairing only needs to be done once and BT listening to music, pausing for a call, and restarting all works a dream? I've never seen it in action before.
I'm happy with my Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970. Pair it once, and your happy. I don't use it for music though. I haven't found the sound quality to be good enough on any bt set, or wired set from a ppc yet.
stereo bluetooth headset
I'm very happy with my
I-Tech clips IIs
they works very well , but I was forced to install MSI blueplayer
I'm currently looking at buying the Plantronics Pulsar 590A.
It costs about $170 though.
I have 590a. They work great with my Trinity both for music and phone. And not that great with my laptop
I ordered today. How's the sound quality?
Not perfect but good to very good (not enough bass/treble). And you have to make some registry tweaks for best quality. I used fit4cat program to make them automatically for me.
HTweakC 2.1b or Hermes Tweaker v1.1a? I think you mean the HTweakC, right?

Jabra I can't comment, I have the Moto HT820 (Hence why I make sure it works on my Roms), It is a good headset, great audio quality and battery life with 100 % clear call quality both ways, however it is slightly bulky (OK It's pretty large actually)
beast0898,
thank you for responce, beasty. I will keep it in mind when purchasing.
any comments on Jabra BT620s?
i agree with beast0898.
I own a motorola HT820. And i'm using it from 10 days without charging, with around 1 hour of playback every day and more then 3 hour of connection without playback...
i'm using them right now and sounds good!
I own an itech clip r35. They are pretty good, but not as much ht820. The sound i less clear. Useful for use while driving a motorcycle.
Hi,
I have both HT820 and Jabra 8010.
The HT820 was the first BT stereo headset out there but I wouldn't buy it now. It is too big and heavy and very uncool when wearing it.
Because it is still using BT1.2, very slow and most likely to have lagging sound. There is also no ring tone when receiving calls (only beeping sound).
I was always thinking to get the Jabra 620 but when I check the site at that time. I saw Jabra 8010 which is much better headset there both. Sound is good and it is deattachable and light. Also has OLED display showing your Contacts, who is calling without looking at the PDA phone. It also show battery status and can pair with mutliply headsets. I would highly recommend Jabra 8010 and there are not that pricey from eBay.
HTC BlueAngle (ROM: WM6 Pro CE OS 5.2.1933) with HT820
HTC Universal (ROM: Beasty & Laurentius 2.08.01) with Jabra 8010

MotoRokr Headphones

Has any any body tried if the wireless motorola headphones that ship with motorRoKR are compatible with hermes?I mean if they produce good sound these might be the best wireless headphones in the market...
i think they are stereo and produce good sound...Need ur suggestions guys.....Are they compatible with pocket pcs?
I use them with my TyTyn2, they're just amazing, by far one of the best BT A2DP headsets on the market. The sound qualoty is far out, but the only drawback is when you're walking and stuff it looses signal quite easily, skips a bit on the songs.

What if their quality is compared to wired headphonees?Rokr headphones are stereo?
As in far out I meant amazing, the wired ones are no comparison, the S9 headset blows away any wired headsets I have ever listened to, except for the high end ones like Koss etc.
Motorola S9 rulez!

I agree with that. I use the MotoRokr (motorola S9) with my Htc TyTN, and the sound quality is amazing!!! But the only thing is, that the bluetooth headsets use a greater CPU amount, and that slows the HTC kinda down. But the sound quality is incredible!
They Should Work
I Have The HTC Titan And they Work Fine With It.. (music And Video) I also Have The Bluetooth Connection For my iPod.. Its nice cause the motorokr has multi point tech. I can listen to my iPod (wirelessly) and still recieve calls

Bluetooth Stereo headset

I was thinking about getting Bluetooth Stereo headset for my Fuze
Plantronics Voyager 855 is the headset I was thinking about.
Anyone have any troubles with this or even have it?
Thanks
I cant answer anything about that one, but I can tell you I love my Motorolla S9 for headphones, though I rarely use it for calls. I also have a BT8010 which is a fantastic headset, but when adding the stereo bud it feels wierd because you've got what feels like two headsets on instead of headphones.
I use the Motorola S705. I like it because I can use my own headphones. It also has FM radio, but we don't need that!
I have the 855 and have been using it with my Samsung P2 mp3 player and now my Fuze for quite awhile now. The battery life is pretty good, i've used it to snowboard in tahoe in cold temps and under those conditions i get about about 6 hours of continuous play time.
The audio quality is very good provided you can keep it in your ear. Depending on the shape / size of your ear the earhook may not be as effective as it should be, and the weight of the earpiece plus the fact that the earbuds are round instead of an ergonomic design means that its bound to try to point down then ultimately fall out of your ears.
The stereo hook fits in the headset part well, and works both ways fine as advertised. A word of caution though, when you're done listening, be sure to take the hook back out before putting it in your pocket or the pouch. The earhook's clip is pretty thin and i have snapped it clean off before while it was in my pocket, prompting a 15 dollar replacement stereo earhook.
The call quality though leaves a bit to be desired. People on the other end can hear background noise from my end, and i can hear my surroundings trough the earbuds pretty well also. I don't use it often for calls, but when I do it works alright or short calls. I actually keep a jawbone 2 in my car in case i expect to be on a long call.
Overall, aside from the fitment issues for me personally, i'm very satisfied with the 855. However if you think you may be i the market for a headphone style as opposed to the earbud style, I've heard good reviews for the Motorokr S305's, and i'm gonna pick up a pair soon to try them out as earbud headphones are sometimes really finicky about your ear in terms of fitment.

Useless headphones that are included

I'm finding the headphones included with the Samsung Galaxy S to be pretty useless. They do not stay in my ears and was wondering if anyone else had this problem? Could just be me with dodgy shaped ears but I've never had a problem with any other in-ear headphones. The build quality, sound quality and other aspects of the headphone seem great (although the in line controls seem very limited) so it's a shame that they don't stay in my ears.
If anyone knows of a good 3rd party alternative (possibly even a Bluetooth stereo set) then do reply back with details.
TIA
The earphones seem fine to me, the rubber bits are a little bigger than what im used to with inear earphones (normally i go with the small ones). However i find them to be fine for me, and the sound quality is great.
I am using another headphone instead of supplied one. Anyway original one can answer calls but can't control volume / music player etc. so a little disappointed and now looking for Stereo Bluetooth headset.
Buy a pack of Sennheiser in-ear replacement rubber thingo's. They go for around $5. Fits perfectly. Apart from that, the originals sound like crap but are good as freebies.

It's not just you. They pop out of my ears as well - very irritating indeed. I don't use the headphones often, but when I do I just use my iPhone or PSP ones (for listening to music, not calls etc).
/PS: Not sure if these work as an antenna for the FM radio thingy though...
Have you ever tried apple headphones worst I've ever tried doesn't fit well and you can hear everything around you for a device that you paid more than any other ..... Those are useless not the SGS ones that are good in-ear and they stay in my ears but yes I regret a bit that they don't have a previous-next song like the apple one (only good thing about those)

I think it's your ears m8. Mine fit great.
I would've liked to have a clip to clip to my clothes so they dont fall off but..
Yea sound quality is very good aswell!
For those looking for BT stereo headphones, I've been using the Plantronics/Altec Lansing Backbeat 903's for almost a year now, and I love 'em. I honestly haven't tried them with the SGS, but they've worked beautifully with every phone, pc, and ps3 I've paired them with.
I've found something like that: I can't post outside links
well it's AIAIAI TRACKS HEADSET those are hedphones with mic.
I bought Thomson ultra comfort HED17 ear pads and now stoc earbuds don't fall off.

Only thing about the 903, dont use them for workouts if your sweating... I did, and they broke down in 2 days ....
Personaly I'm looking for 1 ear solutions that also can receive media output from SGS.
Maybe u'd like Jabra Stone.
Personally I am using a Samsung 3.5mm adapter, that has a multifunctional button (play/pause/take or end call) into which i plug my bang&olufsen earphones.. it's working great and the good part is that you can use whatever earphones you like
edit:
oh also i think the original sgs headphones suck donkeyballs... the sound quality is bad, it's inear (which is pretty unhygenic/unhealthy), cable is about 20cm too short for someone like me, the rubber things are not very firmly attached and i almost lost them like 10 times in 2 weeks..
thats why i threw away those things and got myself some nice headphones+that extension cord/remote control/whatever thingy
how do you find SQ compared to an iPhone?
My SGS is practical unlistenable with good stereo headphones due to strong hiss in the background, especially when you pause a track, its less noticable on stock headphones,
I thought it was a general issue, but probably its only me phone/firmware..
Just bought Motorola HT-820 Stereo Bluetooth headset for 28$. Sound quality is average but full control over music player. Play/pause, next, fw, vol +- and telephone conversations. Great for outside during cold days.
fAtaXe, i'm looking for that kind of adaptar, which one is yours?
think the stock samsung headphones are very disappointing in terms of fit in the ear. It seems they have only catered for an 'average' ear size.
I would have prefered ipod style headphones with a mic...i wear the samsungs and they just fall out embarrassingly when using them for hands free conversations.
I am currently using my old nokia 5800 headphones and mic although the mic isn't as sensitive enough so callers cant hear me as loud as they would like to.
Would generic ones work with this phone?
I'm just trying the phone with my Sennheiser HD 650,
to my surprise they rock, though are 300ohm headphones,
Galaxy s deserve some respect in HP amplifie area..
