I flash a new WM6.5 rom a few days ago , but every time I use the hard keyboard , there goes some mapping problems. When I press "1" , the device jump to the start menu , and the following bottoms comes symbols .
I tried the Advanced config , changed the input layout as English and AT&T,but it didn't make any sense.
Now when I tried to type some numbers in hard keyboard mode , I have to turn the input panels out .
Can anyone solve this problems?

HI,
I've recently installed russian rom from i-mate on my wizard. However, I have a problem with the sliding keyboard. The problem is that when I start typing using the slide out keyboard it types in latin letters (English). However, once I press the dot key (key used for changing to symbol typing) it starts typing using cyrilic letters (russian). And then there is no way to change it back. Only the soft reset can change it back to latin(english). But after pressing the dot key the problem occurs again.
Is there any way to be able to change the language back to english? Or remove the russian language at all so that I could always use latin letters.
Thanks
My input is jamed on "block recognizer" , i want it to be on "keyboard"
every time i restart my phone , it comes with blockrecognizer on input ... i change it everytime to keyboard but when i restart my phone , it become block recognizer again !
how can i fix my input on keyboard ?!
any idea ?!
Install the attached "Input Method Selector" and run it..choose whatever you want as default..it will run at bootup and select it...this comes from the package for the "happy tapping" iphone lookalike keyboard.
it didnt work !
( or i cant use it , and there was no boot-selecting , and if i want to choose sth in bootup screen , i will do that after that in messaging )
by the way , im using wm6

Click to collapse
You go into, start, programs..click on IM selector..pick the keyboard you want and exit...from then on it should select the keyboard on bootup...works fine for me and yes I'm also on wm6.
on IM selector , there is nothing just an empty scroll !

You have a problem with your rom then.
Hi All,
I have been trying to get japanese input working on my Raphael, and have run into some problems. Here's what I have done:
1. Installed LesJapanNo6 - all working/tested no problems
soft reset
2. Installed IME_31J_QVGA_F file
soft reset
-> manila.exe error, device.exe error, and another exe error (can't remember now - think it was TouchFlo3d related). Hardware keys dead.
3. Made the registry edit to get hardware keys working
soft reset (note, regional settings still Japanese)
After that, every time I would try and input something, or change the input method, I get ongoing crashes in device.exe (until I closed the kayboard).
I then decided to change the regional setting back to English (UK), and then soft reset. Now it starts with no errors, but input is stuck on hiragana and the keyboard icon has disappeared so no standard romaji input.
I think I now have to install the enable_ime_2 and/or enable_ime_3 cabs, but am paranoid I have already done something wrong (crashes etc from step 2). Can anyone more experienced hint at the final steps to get this all working?
Thanks,
Raj
The steps you have above should work fine, but use the VGA version:
http://rapidshare.com/files/159514259/IME_31J_F.cab.html
You might need to go ahead and hard reset before you try again.
Just for reference, I have LetsJapanNo6 and IME_31J_F on my Raphael 1.90.405.1 WWE (UK stock ROM), with the following reg tweaks applied:
Code:
[HKCU\Keyboard Layout\Preload]
default = "E0010411"
[HKCU\Keyboard Layout\Preload\1]
default = "E0010411"
[HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\IMEJP\3.1\MSIME]
Option3 = "D"
[HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e0010411]
Keyboard Layout = "00000409"
Word of caution: when you go to edit the reg values, highlight the text and write over it; don't use the backspace key, because for some reason it inserts a lot of garbled text. Once you've saved the reg edits and soft-reset, the backspace key functions as normal again.
Also consider using PQzII to map keycode 0xE6 to IME; this will allow you to press the SYM key on the hardware keyboard to toggle between ascii (A→a) and kana (A→あ) input.
Other known issues: JP IME breaks T9/word suggestion, some other minor oddities.
SoftBank is releasing its version of the Raphael, so be on the lookout for a native JP ROM (which will have everything set up correctly) in the future.
Working perfectly now, fantastic!!!
Thanks!!!
I tried to map the SYM button to IME. But there is no way for me to specify 0xE6 in the IME menu.
is the new Raphael PQzII different?

I typed it in.
I'm using 008e1, but the latest e2 should be fine.
I have had this working for about a month now but was wondering how to get a keyboard shortcut to switch the kana/romanji input. This works perfect.. thanks!!!
thanks!!!
just a shot question:
as I use the hw-kb of my xperia for inputting text, it would be cool to have the tegaki-kb as standard one. Whenever I set it in Windows Mobile-Settings, it gets switched back to romaji-kb on restart.
is there a reg-hack for this?
would greatly appreciate your help!!!

It might be a problem with Xperia Panels resetting it to romaji-kb (TouchFlo3D does the same thing on the Touch Pro).
If you use PQzII, you can configure it to override the default input panel. You can even specify different default panels for portrait and landscape. Just open up the setup program (PQzII_Setup) and the settings is on the first page.
nevermind, got everything working!
thanks!
Hi,
I have been searching for this like an hour. But the layout of my hardware keyboard is messed up. When I hit the caps button, it selects the FN button. And with FN on hitting the H, it will give a 7. Is there any fix for this?
Thanks in advanced,
Armazia
Hey Armazia,
Are you using EzInput or another Keyboard Configuration tool? It may be possible that 2 programs are interfering with eachother, or that you have a wrong version of EzInput. My SYM key didn't work at first, and installing EzInput 1.5 solved this problem, it may also solve yours! (soft reset is needed)
Have you recently installed a custom rom? If so, go to the 'Keyboard Selector' application and select the appropriate keyboard.
Hi all,
I try to help my nephew with a weird keyboard problem on his HTC Chacha.
It was stucked in safe mode, which I manage to get out booting with menu & talk buttons held.
Now, the physical keyboard works bad. Only 5 keys work : "q" "v" "n" "," (coma) and "." (dot)
It's an official Android 2.3.5 OS, french layout (on text fields, the top bar shows "Fr XT9"), azerty physical keyboard.
The phone isn't rooted, it's a "SFR" release (french mobile operator).
I have all the quicklaunch keys unselected (Menu > Applications > Quick Launch)
I didn't find any helping thread on forums.
Please help !
EDIT : the phone has been returned to the shop where they reflash it with the stock rom
