Hi
I had linked my Comm Manager (default Tilt one) to the PTT button and it was working perfectly.
Then I installed the Manila 2d-style comm manager (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=430468) and suddenly, the PTT button stopped working.
Instead of taking me to the comm manager as it was before, it now opens up the Help file for Comm Manager in IE (telling me what Comm Manager is and how it works).
Any solutions?
If the PTT button appears as a configurable one you can map it to anything using an app called HButton.
HButton can be found in ths forum using search
cheers

The Comm Manager is linkable to the PTT.
The problem I am having now is that after installing the M2D comm manager on my Tilt, the PTT now opens the Help File for the comm manager instead of the comm manager.
I have no idea what would cause such a problem. again.. my solution would be to override regular HW button associations using a 3rd party app.

Hello!
I have the HTC Wizard (O2 Xda mini S); on my today screen is a small icon on the right bottom. When I hit it, the comm manager starts. The Wizard has a hardware key to start the comm manager, though. I would like to get rid of this icon or hide it, so I can get the phonealarm (or other plugins) to the bottom.
How can I do this?
If it is not possible: Can I at least show date and time IN THE SAME LINE as this comm manager button? Can I add other buttons there? Is this documented somewhere?
Cheers and Thanks,
Eriol

I would suggest a search using "init_tray" in order to find information about removing the comm icon, and to search using "PHM traylaunch" to find out about adding icons to the comm manager system tray.
This question has been asked many, many times before.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php is a great place to start, and so is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=221545
does anybody know if there is a way to set/unset the flight-mode of the schen's comm manager directly with a shortcut (and not via the comm manager app)
maybe something like: \windows\comm manager.exe -flightmode on
thanks for your help
Using Duttys WM6.1 with CommManager3G.
There are 9 buttons.
Is there a possibility I put 'terminate data connection' in the empty 10th place? How?
I thought it was possible with Schaps Advance Config but I can't find..
As far as I know, Advanced Config will allow you to change existing buttons to another function, but not add buttons.
Dutty's 10 button 3G Comm Manager can be found here.

where in the advanced config can i manage these buttons?
Under the right softkey action in Advanced Config, there is an option called Comm Manager settings. In there you can select from a list which options are available on the Comm Manager.
Hi,
I have problem with comm manager. If I tap in home screen on menu bar and then click example network so open bubble a can click on comm manager. If I clic on this link so comm manager doesn't open. But if I go to other menu (programs, setting, file explorer....) and try click on menu bar and than comm manager is opening OK. Comm manager doesn't open in home menu (TF3D), but other screen is all OK.
Do you know how this problem fix?
Thanks Jan
I don't know why it happens, but I have the same problem.
The name of Comm Manager shows up at the top left corner for half a second or so, but nothing happens.
It seems as if it starts and crashes immediately.
But not always.
Sometimes it works fine.
I just got my ATT Fuze and flashed it with ROMOSe 1.40
Is there any program / cab which will reassign the PTT button to turn wifi on/off. I can assign the PTT button for the comm manager but thats the closest I can come for wifi on/off.
I had Treo Pro briefly and it has a dedicated hard ware button to turn wifi on-off. It would be really nice to have this functionality on Fuze.
there are already a bunch of threads on the topic of reassigning the ptt button. Instead of starting a new thread why not search for one of those threads ... ??

This functionality is available using AE Buttons Plus. Unfortunately, because of the fact that it causes keys on the keyboard to repeat randomly when the PTT button is mapped, I can't really recommend it.
I'm sure it's trivial to write such a program, though, with the appropriate tools. Perhaps someone will volunteer.
There are threads on the ptt remap, but not on mapping wifi on/off to ptt or any other key. :-(

you are right. What really happens when the wifi is turned on in the comm manager settings -- is there any exe programs being executed to turn the wifi on -- if so then that exe file / program can be mapped to PTT button. I am just guessing here. Somebody with detailed knowledge may be able to explain more.

After a quick search on Google I found a freeware application HButton. This program has a wifi toggle and it can be set to PTT button to turn on/off wifi. I just not tested this program and it is working fine. Here is the link for the program

Mods -- If links are not allowed here please move it to the proper place.
Edit:
Even a better simpler freeware program found -- aktogglewifi
