I'd like to have my phone screen down while on speakerphone, but want the gsenor to unmute the phone if I flip it over to talk. Or even if I shake it.
Ideal way for me:
Phone lays on screen = mute
Phone not flat on screen = talk
Is there a program out there that does that?

I just received my 750v today. The problem I'm having is that when a call comes in, I'm used to pressing volume up or down key to have the ringer and/or vibrate silenced. This works fine on my treo 650. When I do this on my 750v, it just lowers or raises the volume but that's it. My ROM is 1.12.0a.00. Any ideas on this??
I don't own one yet but I know there's a switch on top to totally silence the unit, but vibrate will continue to work as long as it is activated. This has been a trademark of Treos.
Every treo I've had, I've been able to silence both the ringer and the vibration simply by pushing either the volume or up down key. Yes the switch silences the entire unit but I like silencing individual calls so the ringer isn't going off more than what is needed to let me know someone is calling.
For Treo 750v, it is very straight forward but it took me a week to realize it. To silence the ringer when calls come in, just press any key on the QWERTY keypad.
On my treo 650, I could silence the ringer by simply pressing the volume key. This was very convenient as I didn't have to take the phone out of the case which saved time as well as having the ringer go off minimally. If I have to take the phone out of my pocket or a case, the ringer basically goes off long enough for EVERYONE in the room to notice. Anyone know of any fixes for this? My treo 650's original firmware did the same thing, then I updated the firmware and voila, it worked the way I wanted it to.
Silence a Treo 750V
In order to be able to silence and stop vibrations of the 750V you will need to do the following
from the main screen select preferences then phone settings, this as long as you have a sim card in the phone will take you to settings screen you then need to select the ring tones link for incoming calls, you then need to work your way through the list of possible events suck as phone:known caller, phone:missed call, phone:unknown caller and then delsect the vibrate when ringer is off option, this will stop the phone vibrating when ringer off and funny enough ...
To silence a call on the 750 (Cingular), all you do is press the spacebar.
Is there any way to set up a prifile that has a certain ring volume and when a call is answered automatically turns on the speaker phone?
I want to be able to answer a call in my car and for the orbit to go straight onto speakerphone without me having to press the button?
try phonealarm
I will recomend you www.pocketzenphone.net
Does anyone know if there is a way to lock the device during a phone call? I am having problems accidentally pushing buttons on the screen when I put the phone to my ear.
Just hit the power button.
Is there a way to have the phone do this automatically when a call is made?
One way is to use PhoneAlarm. It provides an option to blank the screen when connected.
However the only I don't use this option in my PhoneAlarm is that it stops the phone from recording the call duration. The call duration of the specific outgoing or incoming call is shown as Zero or 1 minute no matter how long the duration is.
So if you are now much bothered to record the call duration then the PhoneAlarm option is good.
Regards
Cool, thanks for the feekback.
Is it possible to disable the "hold" feature on the call status screen? I'm left handed and every time I pick up a call my face touches the screen and puts the call on hold.
Or can i change the HOLD button's position on the keypad?
Call Status Features (When i make a call):
Speaker On Mute Hold
Note Contatcs End
Thanks!
Haha, funny, but I want to find the answer to this too. I sometimes End the call or press Speaker On when it touches my face.
try to find caller from forum Development and Hacking with somethig like a slide locking features off caller... i think it's from opal but i dont relly sure
Easiest, since it's a built-in feature, is to press the power button before raising the phone to (and touching) your face. This will turn off the screen, making it impossible to touch any of the on-screen buttons AND will NOT disconnect your phone call. Using the red end-call button to hang up will cause the screen to automatically come back on so you can continue using your device. If you need to use something on the device (contacts, calendar, etc) while still on the call, press the power button again and the screen will light back up - all without messing up your call.

The dude has the answer. Nice!
Is there any way to stop my device waking when i press keys such as the start button (with the exception of the call end key), it keeps waking in my pocket and calling people which is getting very annoying.
No. Don't you have a lockscreen to prevent doing that sort of stuff?
Yes the lockscreen is there but if i lock the phone and put it in my pocket to listen to music for example the music will keep stopping and i find that the screen is back on and it is attempting to call someone :S
Then you should try to find out what screws up, even of the screen goes back on you should have the slider that you must go past to call someone.
Or, you have your headphone connection moving and initiating a call, like if the phones' call button was pressed.

use TouchLockPro or S2U2. Both will turn it back off when the proximity sensor sees something near by.
