Palm have a lot to be proud of in the Treo 750. Sure, the hardware’s a little outdated. The standard Treo form factor has seen distressingly little change over the years.

Ive been using a HTC Wizard with PI. and I especially prefer the week view (7days).
I was wondering what the week view looks like on the Treo's square screen. How much information is visible?
can anybody post a screenshot?
I have PI running on my treo and it looks the same like on a regular Qvga screen, Only it looks a bit smaller. It shows the same amount of information.
I don't have any screenshot soft at the moment on my device, but will try this weekend to make a screenshot.
I used PI on my tytn and now on the treo and for me theres no difference in the way it looks.
Here is a sample of the Week view from PI
Just an FYI... PI has a built-in screenshot capturing tool.
In PI, go... Menu > Tools & Settings > Utilities > Screenshot
It saves it in your My Documents folder.
Hope this helps.

thanks, looks pretty small.
Im looking for a new device and still doubting between the treo 750v and the HTC TyTn (Or MDA VarioII).
I used to have a MDA Vario, but it got stolen.
I like the larger screen, but I also like the front facing keyboard. I found myself getting annoyed with sliding out the keyboard all the time.
Is there anyone who went from a 'large' screen device to the treo 750? Do you miss the extra screen space?
I sold my tytn for a treo 750. I still don't regret it. the form factor of the treo is much better to me.
The tytn is a pretty good device, it got it all, except the simplicity of the treo.
My treo is also much faster then my tytn.
About the screen, indeed you have less space. It is smaller.
I noticed that i need less plugins for my today screen because the software from the treo is using the small screen very well.
So, no i don't miss the large screen from the tytn, i get more usability instead from the treo.

1 agree with luminus. I never regretted selling my Tytn. The 750v is much more stable and is a pleasure to use. you get used to the screen size - really!
I been using Cingular 8525 for few months. It works great. I just bought Treo 750. The format/layout is nice. but it look like slower and hard to use compare to 8525..
If you have the ctrl key pro and other hacks in the treo 750, the situation will be totally different.
on back cover 'made in taiwan'
no chance HTC produced this awfull product.
this is step backward for Palm company.
- buggy windows
alarm does not work as it should.
mms, sms and outlook not at the same place
- hardware problems
some time speakerphone does not work until you hard reset device
- less buttons, no camera button for example
- basics for 21ct: no wi-fi, small screen, bad screen-light
what are you talking about?
HTC did manufacture the Palm 750 under the codename Cheetah. It's a great product, I've had better luck with it than I ever had with my Treo 650 or 680. And I perfer it to the HTC Excalibur and TyTn too (Tytn was amazing, but I hated the slide out keyboard)
Treo 650 was also produced by HTC...
ok i ve changed my opinion for treo 750 so far...
it is not that bad...
but main reason i like to use it is front qwerty keyboard and ppc-windows.
htc's other products are still better but there are no qwerty-ppc/windows combitantion.
Except the iPaq products they've manufactured.
Glad to hear you've changed your view of it. I've been using it for a couple weeks, and been enjoying is thus far. I miss WiFi though. I'm scared to see how much data I've used.
Any comments?
This is my question. I currently own a Hermes (ATT Unlocked 8525) for the US Tmobile company. I was wondering if there is much less slow down on the Palm 750 in windows mobile 6. I hate the Hermes only because of the slow down and lag I get some times and was wondering if the Palm 750 had that same problem.
Have you tried upgrading your Hermes to WM6? Increasing page pool, and other tweaks? I don't think Palm 750 would run faster than your device. Besides, it has 240x240 screen which has one tremendous drawback - lack of software compatibility.
OK.. Tell us why you love the Treo 750 with WM6 upgrade!
As for me, I love the fact that i can use the main nav keys to do everything.
I've tried the Apple IPhone and came back to my Treo 750 because its just so damn easy to use!!
My answer is simple: it's the most stable WM device I've ever used and the Treo 750 is the only truly one hand usable WM professionell phone I know.
Shure pure display, bio touch, what ever gadgets are fun to test at first, but when it comes to real life and all day usage, the Treo beats them. i.e. it does not matter if I walk, use it in the car - the device is quick and reliable - it just works. And entering text was never that simple.
I'm running the generic wm6 rom, using exchange all day long and tomtom up to 5 times a day. I've never experienced hang ups, missed calls due to system failures... even web browsing is quick and effectiv. Just wrote this reply on my treo.. ;-)
Just 100% satisfied and I will switch to the 800w if it will offer more ram and gps.
And you can use Mini SDHC 4GB, very good for entertaiment. Charge battery with USB very useful. The interface beautiful.
I've now owned a Treo 600 and a Treo 750. I went to the 600 from a Blackberry 957 (ooold schoool) and was reluctant since the BB did what it was designed for very well. However, once I got used to the tiny keyboard and learned all the other great things the Treo could do, I was hooked. Haven't looked back. Love my Treo 750 and WM6 makes it even more stable. However, with all the advances in touch technology, the Treo form factor is getting long in the tooth. I believe the iPhone style of UI (all touch - minimal HW buttons) is the future. Heck I can type just as easily with PocketCM Keyboard on my little Treo screen as I can with the HW KB (not that I do it that often). Obviously as a member of this forum I am not a fan of the iPhone as is since it has very limited "hackability" at this time, so am eagerly awaiting the next WM version or Android and a nice piece of hardware with which to take advantage of the new wave of UI.

totally agree with you!!
treo 750 and bb 8100 are the devices I use with more pleasure... clearly depending on what I have to do during the day
Why do I love my treo 750? Bc:
1.- It´s pretty small (there´re smaller devices but not like this one)
2.- It has a full-qwerty keyboard in the front (very useful to text, email and word quickly)
3.- Despiste its only 300mHz of processor, it can play videos just downloaded from emule, without converting them, or if I have time enough I can convert them to save more memory.
4.- It goes faster than my old qtek 2020i with its 520mHz processor and WM2003
5.- It´s one of more stable pocket pc phone edition i have ever had
I love her even more when I bought a micro SDHC 8GB (Sandisk) and try it with a minisd adapter....WORKS GREAT!!!
6.- Despite it has no wifi, I normally use vodafone real mail which push my mails and let me surf the net unlimmited.
7.- I read news on it using avantgo
8.- I listen to music, news & talks live thorugh HSDPA
9.- I even watch TV while I have time through my treo
10.- I´ve owned a lot of different devices and really loved them all:
- Palm IIIe (year 2000)
- Palm m100
- Palm Vx
- Palm m515
- HP iPaq 1910
- Hp iPaq 1930
- Hp iPaq 5555
- Hp iPaq rx3715
- Hp iPaq 4150
- Hp iPaq 2750
- Hp iPaq rx1940 (I think)
- Qtek 2020i
- Qtek S200
- HTC TyTN
- Qtek 9000
- PALM TREO 750v
But nothing like treo 750v. After all this time & models I realized that HP makes such a great devices and they all have a GREAT wifi signal if you compare with qtek/HTC.
HTC devices are pretty good too, but when I got the palm treo 750 everything changed. As I started my little steps with Palm, I came back home with the new treo 750, and never regret.
Hope Palm gets well soon, and let us feel and try even better devices. I prefer what Palm does, they normally don´t sell more than 2 or 3 new devices a year, and that´s good from my point of view. They should concentrate on what they do, and do it right (and people & users will THANK YOU)
Sorry for this long message but wanted to type a lot.
See u guys
I love the Treo 750 even more after leaving it for 2 days to try out a ATT 8925 Tilt. The til is so unstable and freezes. I had official Rom, custom ROm, Unbranded ROm. Doesnt matter the tilt lags compare to treo despite the 400mhz processor.

Treo 750 is an HTC phone. Palm had HTC make the phone!
I love the nice leathery/velvety feel on the back! Gives it a touch of class! =)
I love it since I could have blackberry functionality from this device. Even better.
One thing from WM 6, I haven't get my treo to do bluetooth connection DUN to my other phone as a modem.
I dont know why?
The Palm Treo 750 is an amazing little phone. I've used a number of WM devices before this one and never been entirely satisfied with the stability and functionality. The Treo 750 is the perfect WM device - stable, fast, versatile, easy to use. It just works day after day. It can't be beaten!
