[IDEA] download percent status bar icon

I was wondering if it were possibe to create a download percent that functions similar to that of the battery percent. What I mean is, where the icon for the download is in the status bar that would be cool to show the download percent there rather than having to pull down the tray to see the percent. Just an idea.
when I get a chance i'll photoshop a picture of exactly what I mean for those who dont quite understand.

That's a good idea. Is it possible?

i've attached a image of what I mean. It would be something similar to that or have the percent actually on the arrow.

[Q] What to edit in services.jar to add battery %?

I'm almost done creating a Theme for my phone but im still missing the % notification over the battery. I want to use the services.jar method since using the 100 pngs in the framework-res.apk takes up too much space and its too annoying to remake the 100 pngs for every single battery icon i use.
Is there any kind soul who can give me a hand andcreate or point me to a guide/manual/how to that can allow me to mod the services.jar?

Does anyone know how I could take the battery icon completly out of the status bar? I wanna use a GOPOWER master and it has the battery icon already and I dont want to have 2 on the status bar....thanks in advance

You can replace the battery images with 1px translucent pngs? If you search xda you'll find tutorials on replacing the battery icons.

Use Trickdroid's tweak package. Otherwise there is a whole thread of them in the Themes and Apps section.

There is no way to change the stock one unless you're rooted.
If you are - search in the themes & Apps sub-forum for mods.
If you aren't - either stay with the current or download one of the many 3rd party apps in the market that will add a percentage battery notification.
