M2D Operator Tab - General Questions and Answers

I feel stupid for asking but I couldn't find my answer when I searched the forums. What is the function of the Operator Tab in Manilla 2D? It just shows a blank screen with both soft keys deactivated.

the operator tab is for branded cell phone carriers like at&t.
this tab will be used to promote carrier specific programs(or as here on xda calls it bloatware) the company tries to promote so they can make more money.

Can you people just try to read the name of this site, I don't think that it says HP h6315 developers.
Stop posting about that devices, because there is a hp support.
first of all i'm asking about a software problem with PPC phone edtion regardless off the hardware so to make your smal brain understand it's the same OS ,,,,2nd off all don't waste my time replaying to this MSG if you don't have some thing to offer....
Before you post something like that, you should verify if I really don't know the answer. And just for your information, I know that it is the same os, and due to that I also know that IT IS NOT THE SAME DEVICE you smart ass.
And due to your problem, try to reenter the sms center number, coz some times when a phone is blocked to a provider they put by default their number.
Try to be less sour.
even though it's the same device they often act the same and the software is modyfies for the different devices
but asking here could have given result
strictly speaking the post would prob belong in the anything but it
forum but i suppose that many people who may have an answer dont all read that forum

Dialer doesn't work as "tone keyboard"

Hi all,i just upgraded a friend's prophet to wm 6.1...everything works fine, except for one strange problem:when he call some operator (vodafone) number (to check remaining minutes for promotions and stuff like that) the numbers pressed on the dialer (to select the various options) haven't any effect.
The number appears on the screen, but it's not "received" by the remote recorded tape.
Any idea about the cause?
Thanks for help
I crossposted in prophet mobile 6 section,i've seen many "help requesting topic" there too,and it seems it has more active users...close this one, please (i hope it's not a too bad violation )

Dialer parameters for WinMo 6.1?

I'm not sure this is the right forum, but I can't find anywhere more appropriate...
I have a WinMo 6.1 phone (AT&T Fuze-branded Touch Pro), and I recently discovered Androkkid (http://www.simosoftprojects.com/androkkid.php), and I'm impressed, but I need to figure out how to make a couple of features work before I can be really impressed with it.
At present, I have an icon labelled "Voicemail", which I can set as type "contact" (which means that when I click on it, it dials my voicemail), or as type "voicemail" (which means that it tells me how many voicemails I have waiting for me, but clickin it just takes me to the dialler. I'd really like it if it can display the number of voicemails and automatically dial my voicemail when I click on it. Is there a parameter I can pass into the dialler that will tell it to automatically dial a specific number?
I also have an icon which displays the number of missed calls, and takes me to the dialler; I would like this to instead take me to the call history log.
I'm sure these are trivial problems, but I've been unable to find anything helpful on the Googles. Thanks for your time.

[Q] HTC 8X caller ID issue

Hi,
I bought a T-Mobile HTC 8X in the US, unlocked it and brought it back with me to Israel. Now, when Israeli contacts call me, their numbers appear as (for example) 050 555 5555. When they text me, the number shows up as +97250 555 5555. For some reason the phone isn't able to tell that those two are the same number. I couldn't find anything while looking through the settings. I tried playing around with regions and all and came up with nothing. My old AT&T Focus had no issues and my dad's British 8S is working fine as well.
If I remember correctly, In WP7 deivces there's a registry setting which allows to control how many digits from the right identify the number as unique. However, I couldn't find a registry editor for the 8X (is there any?) so that information won't help me right now.
So now, my caller ID function sucks and the only way to actually ID contacts is to save 2 numbers for each one... really frustrating.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks!
Eyal
HTC support emailed back
And after sending them my IMEI they said that unfortunately there's nothing they can do and T-Mobile phones show that symptom in places like Israel and Europe.
So, it's either selling it on ebay or waiting for a registry editor or flashing it with a new ROM somehow. Option #1 seems like the most realistic one at the moment. This really sux.

Actually, if I remember correctly from my previous experience with unlocked phones, most true Caller-ID (where the phone can identify who is calling even if they AREN'T in your Contacts list) requires XML code embedded in the phone (somewhere, don't ask me where) by the provider. Some providers use the same frameworks, so it's possible to get it working from network to network, but in most cases no.
I've never seen a situation tho, where it couldn't pick up the name from the Contacts list, based on the number coming in. I seem to remember you can turn on a feature called "International Dialing Help" that might bring them both together. OR put the entire phone number in your contacts. (As it is displayed when it comes in on Text).

I tried saving the entire number, but because local Israeli numbers get an extra "0" the phone is not able to ID them. Local call comes in as 050-5555555. SMS, like an intl. call, comes in as +97250-5555555. The "International Dialing Help" really helps when you're dialing. I thought it would fix the caller-id issue but it doesn't.
I spoke with HTC and with WP8 support on twitter. It's a known issue for T-mo phones and according to WP8 support, it has been forwarded to the appropriate team which probably means it'll be fixed in months to come. Until then, the only option is to get the phone flashed by one of the Israeli carriers with the Israeli version of the OS.

Germany: Emergency screen doesn't allow to call the police

I use a Moto G (3. Gen.) in Germany, running in English. From the lock screen, I slide up to reveal the phone PIN input, and choose "Emergency" on the bottom. Now, I input "110", which is the German police emergency number, and it says, "110 is not an emergency number" (have a screenshot, but don't know how to post it here).
On the other hand, it lets me call 112 the same way, which is the German firefighters emergency number.
This is obviously a problem, and I'd like Motorola to react to this as soon as possible. What should I do?
Edit: This might also affect other phones, and needs to be addressed somehow!
