Is there anyone out there who can extract the worldcard Mobile from Touch Pro? Would be excellent to have as CAB and could then probably be used as easily in Diamond.
World Card Mobile is a licensed software. You would need your own serial number to use it.
plus, I don't think it was in the ROM, I think it was in the support CD

Correct, it's on the support CD.
Mine came installed on the device...
Here is the the installation file from my support CD. But I'm sorry this is only a 30 days trial version..thought we'd get a full version.

There's a serial number on the package envelope no?
Just loaded WCM onto my Touch Pro. Holy Sh** was the registration process a pain in the A$$. Once loaded (needed to do a reset) it seems to work well on the few cards I scanned. Anyone else have any comments on this program?

Yep, yet again i'm suffering because i've purchased legal software ....
OK so, I purchased route 66 for use on my G900. I couldn't get it installed as I kept getting the message
at least one file is missing. please install the application again

Eventually someone gave me a linked to a hacked copy and guess what? It worked. thats 1 nil to pirated software.
I replaced my G900 and sadly lost its memory card (so im unable to just copy it over). So now, again, I try the software CD and get the same message above ... shock! Only this time, i don't have a hacked copy to revert back to.
Before you all shout ... "USE THE SEARCH!" here are some answers that i've found whilst looking through forum search:
move the maps to the memory card - done. Infact, done by the software.
wipe the card (well its a Diamond so, sort of) - done
reinstall - done, several times
Sadly, as I can't launch it, I can't tell you exactly which version I have - only that its R66 Navigator 7.
Any ideas how I can get rid of this crappy message and use software i've been stupid enough to pay for?
anyone, please? i'm desperate....
I was having problems updating the weather on my Touch Pro, but have since stumbled across a solution if anyone's interested.
The AccuWeather service is the problem. On the device, I went into PHM Registry Editor and navigated to HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila then deleted the data in the REG_BINARY 'LastLaunch'. Next, I deleted the data in the REG_SZ 'Landscape.WebSearchURL'. Also, put a zero in the decimal value for the 'EnableCrashDumps' DWORD. I then did a soft-reset, and voila! weather updates now work for me.
Dunno what the hassle was, but that seems to have done the trick, so give it a try. I'm using the PDAViet 1.95.502.06.B20758 ROM - which is brilliant, thanks very much to the cook(s) - but it may just fix problems across any device, I'm not sure.
Just quickly, too - for those of you using that PDAViet ROM mentioned above - you have to get 'Advanced Configuration Tool 3.3' (can't remember where I got it from, the last few days have been a blur of info) and Enable the menu animations so you can see the Sun/Moon/rain etc.
Please leave a reply if I've helped in some small way
i think that it was only accuweather server side issue. And its been fixed.
All iv done was installing .Net platform 3.5 from microsoft site, soft-reset phone, then wanted to install weather database editor - but no need - after reset everything works just fine. No registry edits, no extra programs, just back to normal again.

Yeh, you're right. I needed .NetCF 3.5 to run the Advanced Configuration applet I installed, so it wouldn't surprise me if that was part of the solution. Great minds......

Glad to be of assistance, even though I'm only just scratching the surface with what I reckon this thing's capable of.
.NET Installation error
I keep getting an error message saying:
Installation Error. Stop all applications and processes maximize available storage space, and run installation again. Support info 2.
I have tried everything! Whats the problem?
Fuze Mobility Site
Head to www.fuzemobility.com and they have a new artical on adding weather cities. I can't believe how easy it was and that it worked GREAT. I'd only wish they could do this for the Tilt using TF2. I still can't get my local weahter on the Tilt. But using the steps on Fuze Mobility. Bingo on the Fuze.
Hope this helps.

Have you got any version of Microsoft .Net Framework installed in your PC already? What version and bitrate of Windows are you running (XP or Vista, 32- or 64-bit)? Is your Raph fully synched to Windows?
You have to have your device fully synched to Windows, and have at least Microsoft .net Framework 2 SP1 installed into your PC before you run the .net Compact Framework 3.5 installer. This will then install a part of the runtime into your PC before putting it into your phone. Note: many of the 'cooked' ROMs available throughout this forum already have .netCF 3.5 pre-installed, so check the post from where you grabbed the ROM to find out just what it comes with.
A simple explanation for those who may not know, .net Framework is like the artist's canvas for a software developer. If someone has written a program using the .net Framework SDK (Software Development Kit), then you'll need what's known as a 'runtime' enabled in your operating system (Windows) so their program will work properly for you.
Hope that's helped.....
I'm very sad and I'm hoping someone can help me with ANY idea that might work. I just bought a LifeView FlyPresenter CF card for my pda because I heard awesome things about it. Unfortunately any and all attempts to install the card so far have been unsuccessful with any driver version I could find. Plugging the card in hangs the pda until I remove it and soft-resetting with the card in hangs the boot process...when I remove it the thing boots normally and then gives me an error box saying it can't recognize the card (which I pulled out) and is looking for me to tell it what driver to use. I tried typing the driver name in the box but that did nothing, probably because I can't get the error box and have the card plugged in simultaneously. The Card is supposedly written for PPC 2002 and 2003 and I figured that it'd be compatible with WM6 but maybe I was mistaken....the software seemed to install normally and the app shows up on the programs list though.
So....I'm hoping somebody can help me either A) get the thing working or B) tell me how to trick the device into acting like a ppc 2003 or something crazy like that so that I can use the card in some limited way. It has a lot of awesome software and full motion video out that I want to take advantage of. Thank you for your kind support.
IPAQ 210 Enterprise
WM6 Classic (non cooked)
81 MB free RAM
39 MB free space on the device
Anybody? I'm totally helpless at this point...
hi there, the drivers are imcompatible i have a Lifview cam, its a noshow on my 6.1 custom, you need 2003/se for it to work.
Sorry

Aww ****..... Is there anyway to emulate the OS on a wm6 device? I don't care how complicated or weird it is....any means of running the hardware would be better than having to sell this thing after I just bought it.

Sorry, i don't thinks its possible.
Hey have you seen on their website that they have SDK software? I just saw it now. Apparently it allows you to write drivers for whatever platform you want by simply using their dll files and writing the drivers for them. Problem is the link is 404 and I can't find the sdk anywhere else. I know they have the same software for the flycam too. Maybe if we each are able to find our respective versions of the SDK we can both use our hardware again.
Any ideas where I could find the SDK? My methods of searching for things are limited to google but you might know where else such things are likely to be found...

Found a windows mobile cab file that wouldn't run on an a dell axim x51v due to the resolution requirements. If somebody can port over this cab file to android, you can get free mobitv and free sirius xm. The trial has been disabled and there is no billing.

I'm not one for closing threads, but can we please close this one? It's misleading and going to create merciless ridicule.
Long answer ...
Perhaps you are joking perhaps not but in the interest of those wondering ...
A WM cab is an installer containing (usually) a compiled executable program, written for an entirely different OS, WITHOUT the source code that was used to build it.
And Just in case you still don't get it, no source = no port. The only possibilities without src (that i know of) is 1. Complete rewrite or 2. something like WINE for android to run WM executables natively (WINE would likely be harder to achieve!!!) . (Ok and perhaps if written in. NET, you could de-compile to get a good chunk of the logic / math but the front end is still a rewrite)
Short answer...
Not possible.
Just open the .cab in notepad, and at the end of the file, add WorksOnAndroid=1, then rename the file to .apk. adb push to /system/app, or just install it via Astro or your favorite file manager. It's working great on Nexus, no idea if it will work on the G1 though, due to screen size differences.
install ubuntu for ARM on the sd-card, start and vnc into it, install virtualbox, install xp, run a windows mobile emulator, run your cab
you guys are assholes.....
It cannot be ported over from windows mobile sorry.

VirtualBox is virtualization software, not an emulator. VirtualBox will not run on ARM. From the VirtualBox about page: "VirtualBox is a general-purpose full virtualizer for x86 hardware."
And I honestly don't think he was trolling. Some people just don't know.
I would like to be able to use the sounds in Windows Phone on my Android. I replaced my HTC Titan with a Nexus 4, and honestly, I prefer Windows Phone's notifications (I use the Palm Pre's ringtones). Is there any way to access these from a ROM dump?

The MSI spits out an error about a DLL required for install not being able to run. I am on Windows 8 and trying to install the 1.4.236 version. Any help?
Would someone just be kind enough to post a zip of the audio from WP7?
[edit]
I converted the MSI to EXE and then had to run it in compatibility mode as an admin to get it to work. Took me an hour of research while trying older tools. Also, annoyingly, LOTS of files are marked as hidden once extracted, including the media files.
