i was googling for tweakui and came a result from handango.com => http://www.handango.com/SoftwareCat...Id=2&N=96806+4294910762&showBreadCrumbs=false
Check this guy is selling the tools he got free here at xda-devs.
the people who made the soft should do something about it...

I've just written to Handango. Please write to them to and get this thief off their books.
I have noticed that your vendor T.N Vietaus Trade (Australia) is selling a number of illegal (ie pirated or stolen IP) products, including Microsoft ROMs for Windows Mobile phones.
Also, he is reselling free products written by members of the xda developers forum at a significant mark up, free software for example being sold for $49.99.
Please ask this vendor to remove this software, or remove it for him.

The thing that IRKS me is he doesnt explain that there is MORE to just downloading and running the update to these.. so alot of people are probably ruining their devices.

FYI, this is one instance where the DMCA can be used to your benefit (if you are one of the software authors).
Do NOT write to Handango, et al, complaining that someone is selling free software.
Do write to the resellers and state, factually, that this person is selling software that *you* wrote without your permission or authorization. Also state, very factually, that you want the software pulled and any monies charged for the software to either be refunded to the purchasers or forwarded to you.
What would also help out is if all the software authors were to allow one person (perhaps vijay would be a good choice as he is both a mod and a software author) to act on their behalf so there is a single point of contact for XDA.

Tell me the address of Handago (and Microsoft, If I have read and understand well) and I also send an email.
Just a thought: many here (maybe me too?) searchin' and using no purchased software, and therefore one of us (or one of those having this "habit", if you like more saying so) has found not violating any legal or moral law. World goes around...

The board however has a strict policy on banning for distributing warez.
But, it takes some particularly spiteful cojones to steal someone else's work and then put your name on it and sell it. And then selling at an absurd markup... come on. There's reasonable cheekiness, but that's just taking the micky.

Just to explain my position about this.
As I wrote on the title of this post, I figure out what it can be the reasoning of this person but meanwhile I absolutely don't accept what he did (or it's better saying "what he didn't do" 'cos what he's selling it's not stuff of his own).
My thought doesn't want to be a provocation, at least not a gratuitous provocation, but a simple-soft thinking about a hard problem: copy-right (and use-wrong).
Obviously this is a real theft, more odious than that "normally" made to the detriment of that author of the software who sell his creation having the conceptual rights to do that. In this case we can see instead a double somersault: he sell something not of his own that originally is (was) free.
Hope being plain.

It isn't just the markup, its the flagrant lack of informing people of the consequences of attempting to use those warez without having ample experience with their device. He just says 'For expert. Use at your own risk' he doesn't say .. 'If you don't know what you are doing your phone is dead.. d .. e .. a .. d' .. I feel bad for the people who have purchased these and tried to run them not knowing about unlocking and what not.. it's a shame

has anyone talked to luca chase who got a sensation and NEW DATE FOR UPDATE(maybe)

so i am extremely mad at Tmobile right now. I got a call from their executive office and i was speaking to luca or lusha or somthing like that. basically she told me i was unable to be given a sensation. I then told her that i would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because the people who did on XDA were given Sensations. she then told me she handled all of the Better Business claims and that no one had been given a sensation. but i know for a fact that people on here have been given one. So my question to the community is who offered you a sensation when you called the executive office? i am going to call and ask to speak to them.
Also she told me that at 2:24 today T-mobile received a message saying a software update would come sometime next week. I then asked if it would be gingerbread or just a bug fix. Her response, " Do you know what a software update is? that pissed me of to no end. our conversation ended when she asked me for 20 dollars for a new G2x. i told her she was out of her ****ing mind and told her to be ready for my better business complaint
Then I called corporate so i could file a complaint on lucha or whatever her name was. the lady who answered told me that isn't possible so i asked for the name of the person i was speaking to and she hung up on me. I kept calling back and i kept getting redirected to the desk of luca chase (still not sure how to say or spell her name) and that just royally pissed me off.
i am so mad right now. All i can do is file a complaint. i never expected to be treated this badly.

This is the problem I see with all the whiners and complainers on this forum. There's a way to communicate, if you lose your cool then you'll get screwed.
Especially in America, people think they're "entitled" to get what they want because of supposed laws or it's in writing, but I tell you this, unless you know the laws to the "T" and you're willing to invest your time, energy, money and so on and so forth, you'll just make it more inconvenient for others, because then the company, even if they're in the wrong, will implement protocols to make it harder for others that come in with the same complaint just because some shmuck didn't know how to communicate without threatening the company.
I'm putting this out because all these complaints will do more harm to us consumers, by making Tmobile or anyother company that feels they're being attacked put up a wall of defenses that will make it less forthcoming for us to do pleasant business with the company, because now we're all looked upon as the enemy.

i only lost my cool after she made it clear that she wouldnt give me a sensation. this was my 3rd time talking to her.

I have a friend that works as a manager at T-mobile who exchanges my phone for a new one everytime a new one I like comes out ... you should also get a friend that manages a store @ tmo ... winning

Seems like a lot of work for one person to handle all of these claims!

While i agree that the poster did not handle this right at all. i am fed up with my paycheck being **** paying for all the entitlement programs in this country. BUT we are entitiled to a working phone or a refund. not sure why people want the sensation i have no care for it. the use of entitlment here is not correct since he is entitled to a working phone .

Thats the whole point my friend. A bunch of images and random colors organized in a nice fashion is what makes it worth something. Just like mining gold. Have you ever asked the question why there is no berry black keyboard theme in the market in the first place ? Theres literally thousands of free keyboard theme apps and not one black berry styled keyboard ? Why ?
And as for sharing a $1 app, I've had users email me and they were kind enough to do a video for it as well. You are like the 100th person to ask me for free. If I gave all the other 100 people the theme for free then whats in it for me ? Like seriously ? In normal case scenario if a person has a life and other things to do why would he make and then do all the extra overhead work of creating icons and market listing and upload it and then give it out for free ? I would have given you the app anyways after you checked and told me what happened with slideme but like others you too had no patience and had to add your own smart comments.
Your right It's not about money, I give out free apps every week. People like you need to realize that $1 not because its worth $1 but because it will not sell at higher prices. It takes about 15 hours to finish a keyboard theme from start to finish and testing it on all resolutions. So if my rate of earning were to be even $10 per hour then its 10x15=$150. Which means until I sell 150 keyboard themes I have not earned enough. And then comes the 100+ people who want it for free. This is why developers quit in the middle of working on kernels and roms here in xda because when people want something they will make noise but not work on it themselves. When someone does it for them they got even more complains.
Unlike other designers here on xda I fight for designers. I don't care about your $1.

and concerning the marketing question, believe me, a lot more users would download themed whatsapp with extra features not implemented by developer itself, rather than one of thousand keyboard skins.
guess what, he is giving it out for free when it was paid and than made it donate version. yes he can sell thousand of copies of this skin but he doesn't.

Surprisingly I am not upset or livid. I was at first but I took this opportunity to train myself to be nice in stressful situations. I think I did well

You are free to be a slow designer and take plenty of time to do work that would apparently take shorter. It's not your fault he cannot buy your work. It's not your fault the economy is what it is. It's not your fault you're part of a bigger machine, as one of the billion cogwheels that actually needs to work to be able to afford their food and other items. Or just to buy your second multi million dollars yacht. None of anyone's business.
He never had the intention to buy in the first place, otherwise he would just have done so. He did it later on only to prove his point rather than to acknowledge of your work. If you were treated as his equal, he would have had no qualms about putting as much work as you did to buy it. Instead, he started diminishing your work, insulting your efficiency and your talent.
If you were to deliver software for free, then it would be because you wanted to. You're not instantly a better person because you give your work for free, and if someone does this to get a good reputation, then I believe you're not doing it for the good reason. I've gave work for free before. Plenty of time was spent with no remuneration other than a thank you and a smile and I've felt good about that. But on the other side, I've had plenty of remuneration, in the form of monetary compensation, for things I would do naturally without expecting anything in return. All in all, it balances.

I just want to know if anyone has heard of these guys. They are slandering xda's name all over craigslist, in multiple citys. They are taking credit for photon unlocks, and other hard work that the wonderful dev's here post, Please be aware of this and bring this to the knowledge of xda admins and others, If this is not true it is slanderous and wrong. They are taking credit for all the devs hard work on here and charging customers for something they can do for free. Please someone look into this, as it makes me sick to my stomach to see these lies. Here is a copy of one of the posts. I dont work for any shops, just an independent. It makes me so angry they are taking credit for everyone elses hard work!!

i also passed on this guys number to the orange county sherrifs office.
