There was a program called Call Assistant... it would answer any incomming call and send back a sms message to them.... it MIGHT have sms support for reciving as well.....
perhaps that will work for you?
Hey, I got curious and downloaded the latest version....
So there IS a later version..
from www.ruttensoft.com
Damn.. just tried that.....
Does not answer SMS messages. Sorry.. perhaps contact them and see if they have something else?
There are many tools supporting SMS at unanswerd Call...But only few that support autoanswer an SMS with a SMS...
And $21 for a.SMS is to much for that function...
I ve bought skscript, but the "Event SMS" didnt work either. Perhaps with my GERMAN ROM-Version.

I want to send SMS from my PC using the Windows Mobile connected via Active Sync. Though there are numerous software available to do so, the specific feature I am looking is sending the SMS from excel file in which one column contains the Phone No and another the personlized SMS for each number.
I had searched a lot on the internet and could't find one.
Can you please help ?
Thanks in advance !!!

Hmmm, sounds to me like he wants to spam people rather than sending standard messages - can't think of another reason why you would want to have Excel List prepeared messages. If it wouldn't be meant to send out large amount of SMS, a SMS template would do!
I hate people doing that - here in the US you have to pay even for incoming messages, regardless if it was wanted or not!
Could be he wants to do a blanket "Happy New Year" message to all his friends.
Actually scrub that, you could just do one SMS to already existing contacts very easily so why the need to prepare an Excel sheet.
For remote control etc i use Jeyo Mobile Companion.

Hey !
I am not spamming anything, I want to send personalized SMS to my friends, relatives. etc.
I have to send around 250 SMS on this New Year and has made an excel containing the phone number and the personalized SMS.
Generally in India, people send standard SMS to everybody on such days but I just want to add my personal touch to it !!!
Spamming means to send standard SMS/emails to many recipients, but after reading your reply, it seems that your definition of spamming is very much different !!!
I do have Jeyo mobile, but copy and pasting each number and SMS will be bit difficult.
Hmmm,
I just wonder why you copied / wrote all the messages into an Excel sheet in first place?
As far as I remember, Outlook 2007 somehow supports sending out short messages - it has to be configured once but then it should work just fine.

I had not written all the SMS, just changed the standard SMS according to the person, like his/her name, saluation, etc. Basic text of all the SMS is same.
Excel provides tools like concanate, etc to create SMS with variable fields and that why I used it.
However I can convert that excel file onto .txt file also but the basic requirement remains the same, I want to send particular SMS to particular number only.
Jeyo Mobile Companion
i believe you can send sms messages through the computer using dashwire (www.dashwire.com), but im not sure if you can send multiple at once

How send SMS from PC

Hey everyone,
my question is rather simple. Does anyone know of a program, that I could use to send text messages from the computer, rather than my touch pro 2?
Managing sms from the computer would be nice aswell, but it's not necessary.
Thanks a lot.

A quick bit of googling for FreeSMS 1.4.6 should point you in the right direction! I have no idea if its freeware or not!
Thanks...
But I was thinking more in the likes of this:
Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Outlook SMS Add-in (MOSA)
(I can't post outside links)
Ideally, I would like a software, that connects to the TP2, gets all the texts, manages them and lets me write texts to phone numbers stored on the phone.
Hi again,
Yippie! I found one.
Here it goes:
Efficasoft Mobile Express
Moved as not software release.
Go to txt2day.com voila!

Sync Data from HD2 to HD7 Help.

Hi All,
I'm newbie here... hope you guys willing to help me.
Recently I just upgrade my phone from HTC HD2 to HD7, unfortunately I cannot sync / move all my data such as CONTACTS, SMS, EMAIL, WORD, ZNOTE, etc to my new HD7.
Could you guys kindly help, what software do I have to use or any easy way to move my Contacts & SMS.
These to items are most important.
I'm totally lost...
Please help...
Thank You.
easiest way I found to transfer contacts is to use soocial.com. they have a winmo application that will upload all your contacts that you can sync with your live account that your phone will then download.
Or if you have gmail, you can use active sync on your hd2 to upload your contacts to gmail, then hd7 supports contact sync with gmail.
There is no sms syncing available.
For word documents, easiest way is to email them to yourself and open them on your phone, long press the document and save it.

Well. What is your email provider?
The easiest way of sync Contacts and Calendar is actually having Hotmail account.
And use ActiveSync to put this to Hotmail from HD2,
and set on HD7 Hotmail account which will bring it to phone.
As for office docs I'm afraid the only way is Hotmail SkyDrive or just email this to yourself.
I also want Zune to sync all this content!
Have you find a solution to transfert the sms from wm6.5 to wm7 ??

Hi Titeloo,
I'm afriad there is no current solution that i know of that would allow you to export/import sms from WM6.5 to WP7, If you really cannot stand to lose them then i would sync them with MS My Phone. This will allow you to store them online and view them whenever you like, however this solution still will not allow you to get them onto the WP7.
I wouldnt let this stop you from using your new handset though, i also have an HD7 after having moved from an Xperia X1 (WM6.5 device) and i can tell you that it is a completely different experience. I have not seen a single bug or crash on the handset since xmas and most importanatly i never have to restart it
Hope this helps,
Creamy
It baffles me that someone would refuse to use WP7 because they can't read their old SMS messages. That makes absolutely 0 sense to me.

I want to keep my sms and i need to export the hold and to back up the news too... because they are remenber... maybe i'm too much sentimental
But for me it's a pleasur to have some messages always with me in my phone
I can't imagine loose all my sms and contact if loose my phone or if i change the rom...

Yes I understand not wanting to lose some messages, but I can't believe you'd rather stay away from an entire OS than lose a couple "sentimental" text messages.
And why would you lose your contact list?
Export your messages to PC and then send them in text as email

I say that because with my phone the contact and sms was save every day automatic so if loose it or if i've a probleme with it all it's save on live
Some other applications do that but miscrosoft block them on WP7 I don't know why, i can't understand ...
Wp7 also saves/backs up contacts to your live account

So I don't know if we'll have a solution on day...
Hello people!
I've just upgraded my HTC HD2 to WP7 and I backed up contacts and texts to My Phone.
Now I can't get those contacts to new OS.
Microsoft says that those will be automatically transferred to SkyDrive in August but I can't wait till then.
I can access both MyPhone and SkyDrive on Internet but I don't know how to sync these two programs!!!!
Is Microsoft so stupid and hates its own users or what???????
I have all my contacts backed up and I can't transfer them to my phone???
Awful !!
Please help,anyhow.
Those contacts are very important to me and I can't manually write 800 of them
