Disable volume slider

I've searched on this and other sites but can't find an answer for this - how do you disable the volume slider / control on the side of the alpine?
Mine is stuck turning the volume down so even when i turn it up it resets itself to silent after a couple of seconds - quickly drains the battery - any reg hacks?
Thanks in advance
Pete
Found a few of options to solve the volume slider issue.
Install aebutton plus or magic button or (as I've done) do a hard reset.
After the reset the volume slider is back to normal, if i restore my device using a backup the problem re-appears. At the moment I've hard reset again and fully charged the battery, turned the radio / phone off to see how long before the battery runs down - so far its been a couple of days and no sudden battery drain so I guess that some of the software I normally install was causing the initial problem.
could also replace the WAV file with one that has no sound.

Backlight stays on while connected to USB

Using Faria's Real Thing. When my 8125 is plugged into USB, the backlight keeps turning on. After the backlight timeout turns off, USB seems to turn it on again after a few minutes. It works perfect when not connected to USB.
Anyone have a fix? I have searched and could not find a solution.
Isnt it in the backlight and Power settings?...

No it is not..
Perhaps ActiveSync is sending/receiving something causing the device to turn the backlight back on?
I just use a quick press of the power button to turn my backlight on/off.

I suspected ActiveSync too, so I uninstalled it, since I rarely use it anyway and only installed it to upgrade the ROM. The problem persists, not caused by ActiveSync.

Turn off/on charging when connected to a pc

Is there a way (a shortcut to the start menu perhaps) to easily turn off/on the charging of the phones battery when connected to a pc through a usb cable?
Use advanced config or just go to settings - > power.
you can turn it off there.
Thanks, but i was thinking of a way to switch charging on/off from the start menu, without going into the settings.

Galaxy s7 resetting some settings by it's own. Charging problem too.

Hello!
My always on display setting is set to on in my settings menu, but after a while my phone automatically turns it off by itself. This has happened to some accessibility settings too (the triple home buttom press).
Other problem is that 1 time my phone was discharging while I was charging it (with the original wall adapter and cable).

Panel button RGB lights don't light up

I have bought a Isudar PX5 Android 8.0 unit with touch buttons below the screen.
The first time when I installed the device everythings was working fine including the touch button lights.
After I changed some settings in the factory settings menu (I disabled the TPMS app and changed the boot screen logo) the touch buttons light won't work anymore.
I have tried almost everything to solve this problem but without any results.
This is what I've done so far:
- Change settings in the factoy menu > Button light > By headlight, By Power, By power and headlight (nothing works).
- Connect the Illumni wire directly to the ACC power wire and checked the voltage.
- Switch the car headlight switch on/off.
- Reset the device to factory settings and reconnect al the wires.
I really hope that someone has a solution for this problem. I'm really thinking of a software issue because the lights were working in the beginning before I entered the factory settings.
Thanks for your help!
if the setting 'By Power' doesn't work then I would say it is a hardware failure. Only other thing I can think of is maybe you have the wrong panel light configuration set somehow - it has options for RGB etc
