Help with Bluetooth....is it my TREO???? - Palm Treo 750

I have a Motorolla headset that wasn't recognized by my treo 750. I thought it was the headset so I bought a Palm Ultralight headset (It's a Palm....I thought it would work with my Treo well). Well....my phone doesn't recognize this either. I tried everything...even a hard reset
Now my phone detects my other computer (Mac) in another room but not the Headset which I turned on and placed in front of the phone, on top of the phone, behind the phone etc....
What's the deal?
Anyway to make this work?

You have to put the headset into pairing mode. If it's the Palm Ultralight, then, with the headset off, hold the MFB button until it turns on and starts blinking blue and red. Then run through the setup assistant and enter 0000 for the PIN.

BT25 Stylish Necklace Headset ... Can I get it to work?

Answer: NO
Ok I've done everything 10 times over, got it to bond, but there's no way the XDAII is sending a call over to it either bonded as a headset or as hands free. Have successfully bonded the PC and a Rikaline GPS using Towas Patch .... so what am I doing wrong ... or am I to wait to the next version of the patch that will include Headset handling (the blanked out pic)?
Anyone else got the BT25 working - the box says it works with the XDAII .... I feel a bit stupid sitting here with a headset on that doesn't work!
Are you enabling "bluetooth headset mode" on the main Today screen, it is easily overlooked.
Yes done that one to bits. Even did I hard reset last night to see if basic Mobile 2003 (with nothing added or taken away) would do it. It didn't so I did a restore.
I suppose the headset could be faulty, but bearing in mind the problems that are most of us are having in one form or another with BT, I guess it probably aint! It also does bond as either a headset or a handsfree (I was reading on here there is a difference). I'm puzzled, coz it should be working!!!
Did you try to bond the headset without towas patch, also when the xda2 finds the headset does it announce that the device supports headset profile? The only other thing I can think of is to check that bluetooth is on rather than in discover mode. The bluetooth stack ont eh xda2 sucks big time, but it wont be long before they release the solution so hopefully we should be able to use it as it as designed to be used, I could never understand the logic of releasing hardware capable of so much then using brain damaged software to cripple it.
Ok - swapped out the set at my supplier today and still no change. It bonds and asks for the BT access code which I enter correctly and it appears in the BT bonded list with the GPS and PC. It still doesn't pass over calls, even if I try a manual intervention by pressing on of the keys on the headset as instructed. I've ticked the headset and tried headset mode bonding and handsfree bonding. I've also tried bonding from the discoverable mode in the on mode.
I've also tried a complete hard reset last night and then bonded with the same result.
Think I've exhausted this one and am going to wait for the 02 Rom upgrade (or is that really a Microsoft one)?!
Stop -press ... it just seems to have started working in headsetmode ... not handsfree .... I am trying to work out why ..... this has been 3 days of trying!!! Maybe the original headset really was the problem

O2 Graphite & O2 Bluetooth HS Problem

I have recently got a new O2 Graphite (WM6) via an upgrade, which came with an O2 "Blue" Bluetooth headset.
I paired the phone and the headset, and they worked fine for one call. After a single use I press the headset "talk" button, but the phone completely ignores it... I press the talk button and I do not get the "Say Command" prompt. I tried with another (non-O2) headset, and I get the same problem. The only way I can get them to work is... delete the pairing, reboot, create pairing, make a call, delete the pairing, reboot....
The pairing seems to time-out or something.
I have Bluetooth visibility on the phone turned on, and "show-visible" time-out set to never.
Is this a typical problem with these phones? Shall I send off for a replacement?
Maybe I should forget about the hands-free law, use my phone as normal, and if I get stopped, get O2 to attend court, take the points, and the fine!
Thanks, Demon

cruise+Nokia bh-501 a2dp bluetooth headset

Hi guys....
have you got any info or experience with this "couple" devices ???
Yesterday I got the nokia bh-501 and I paired it with my cruise.
It worked fine the very first time I connect it and paired it with the cruise.
when I turned the nokia off and turn it back on, the little headset symbol that showed up the very first time, DOES NOT show up again and ofcourse sound does not get rerouted and it doesn work....
So I removed the pairing on my cruise and restarted it again.
Well also this time it worked, but if I turn both off and then on again, the cruise does not see the nokia anymore...
GRRRR
Please...do you have any idea what's going on ?
Please help
Rick
I got one yesterday and it works fine. Are you sure you pressed the multifunction button again after releasing it after turning it on the 2nd time? You have to press and hold to turn on, then press again once to connect.

Did you put the bluetooth in pairing mode? Guessing you did but just making sure. That process is overlooked so many times.

Hi Pirateghost
I'm trying to Pair my 'Bluetooth Headset (Plantronics Explorer 210)' with the HTC Inspire ..This device is not even detected by HTC when I do the 'scan for devices' from the Phone...but,I see the Bluetooth symbol dispalyed onteh phone...
Also this Bluetooth Headset is properly 'pairing' with my another Nokia Phone...
Further my HTC also 'pairs' properly with my Laptop'...
But the HTC doesn't detect the 'Bluetooth Planatronics' Headset!
it's Plantronics Explorer 210 Bluetooth Headset
....But this headset pairs properly with my 'Old Nokia phone'..but refuses to pair with the new HTC Inspire
But,the HTC Inspire pairs properly with my 'Laptop computer'...I'm reallyconfused..what's wrong...Appreciate your thoughts on this
I asked you earlier if you put the bluetooth in pairing mode before trying to pair with it? Not the same thing as pairing your phone to a laptop or using it with a phone that it is already paired to. First time you turn on bluetooth it goes in auto pairing till it is paired with a device. After it is paired with a device you must do something special to get it paired again with a new device. Again I only bring this point back up because this sounds like the only reason your phone cannot see the bluetooth.
How to Pair Your Headset if it Has Been Previously Paired
With Another Device
1 Turn the headset off.
Press and hold the call control button until the indicator turns red
and then turns off.
2 Turn the headset on.
Press and hold the call control button until the indicator light
continues to flash red and blue. The headset is now in pairing mode.
3 Use the commands on your phone to locate your headset.
For most phones, select Settings/Tools > Connections > Bluetooth
> Search > 2XXPlantronics. See your phone’s user guide for more
information.
4 When prompted for the passkey, enter 0000.
Pairing is successful when the indicator on your headset flashes
blue. Your headset is now connected and ready to use.

Thanks Agoattamer ---I totally overlooked it--Perhaps did not have the old Planatronics manual----and after getting into 'pairing mode'--everything is perfect..

Hi Pirateghost
I think,I had been too 'stupid' to overlook this 'pairing step'....and now the HTC is able to connect---Thanks a lot for your time......
Appreciate your help too...for giving such a good 'ROM'

Bluetooth in WP&, what can you do? Bluetooth function?

What can you do with the Bluetooth on WP7?
I cant connect my tmobile HD7 to my BMW e46
Nor can I connect my HD7 to my Sony Vaio Laptop.
Has anyone connected their WP7 to a BMW e46 or to their laptop?
What can you connect it to?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have had many phones over the years, including a lot of the old Windows Mobile phones successfully connect and work with my car. But I cant get my new HD7 to work with my car.
I enter the pass code, then the car beeps, and on the Nav screen the message "Paired Successfully" but then it disconnects almost immediately. When i turn the car on it shows my address book and the phone stays connected but I cant get the sound to go over the cars speakers nor does the cars mic work. I can dial with the car but it goes through the phone (meaning I have to put the phone up to my ear, and use it like a regular phone). Anyone have a solution.
my focus s connects fine with my jabra sp700, well, media at least, i have not had a chance to check phone though.
