Does anybody know how to change the default keyboard skin into a colored one. I found an example (and way how to do it) but that's for the WM2003 environment.
The solution I'm looking for is for Windows Mobile 6.
Who can help me (and maybe more people who are reading this) ?

Anyway to get the WM 6.1 dialer instead of Palm's crappy dialer when using the full 6.1 ROM? I love the ROM but I love to somehow use the WM 6.1 green dialer instead of the crappy Palm one.

Try this registory hack:

Same here, nothing change.
You need to disable the "Active Call" today plugin. It is "invisible" so you will need SKtools or similar to do it. This will also remove the palm in-call enhancements.

Not a very good solution.
Changing the registry does give you the standard WM dialer. But taking away "Active Call" functionality using the home screen stinks. Its just better to use the Palm dialer.
EDIT: This thread is old - DIALER is not working with 6.5 ROMS so I removed it. Stay tuned, I'll provide other solution soon.

I do have a little issue here,
I have editted Manila to enable landscape mode, And I cannot get the dialer in landscape,
If I start the dialer from Manila in landscape, The dialer starts in landscape & switches to portrait mode in a few seconds, Any advice?

Try to use GConfig http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487991 to add dialer as allowed application.
Kinda lame to ask, but can't I do that via a registry edit?
I try to avoid installing even MORE applications on my topaz

I've installed it to my German TD2 (HTC Rom). There's one annoying issue: each time my phone disconnects from my car kit there's a message coming up which tells me that I now do have to hold my phone close to my ear (something like that). This message has to be confirmed. I had the same issue with another version of the Rhodium dialer.
Is there a chance to resolve that annoying message?

Just to let you know, it seems to work fine with WM6.5, doesn't seem to have any problems or conflicts (so far ).

Thanks a lot for the dialer, in general it works great.
Also Manila works now great in landscape.

1) that on the phone settings tap "advanced" this one tap is now english instead of german.
Q: Can this be switched to german again?
2)The "curtain" that is above the buttons while a call is not there any more.
Q: Is there any way to enable this curtain again?
3) Since I installed this dialer, i always get a notice when I'm disconnecting from my hands free system that I now need to put the mobile to my ear again.
Q: Can this be switched of/disabled ?
Would appriciate your response, maybe some of these effects can be corrected by registry or file exchange???

1. This is stripped from WWE ROM and becouse of that texts are in English.
2. Not possible - Rhodium dialer has no curtain
3. This is also Rhodium's feature impossible to disable

Could you be so nice and tell me how i only get rid of the dialer curtain with a regedit?
Or is there a way to remove eveything except for the dialer curtain from this .cab?

But there are three things which are annoying me with this cab:
1. It has black buttons

phcanOverbmp.dll controls the Taskbar icons but I don't see it in the cab file anywhere.

I used this dialer on StockROM, as I need landscape support for the Dialer and it basically worked great. Video & ConfCall are supported, Landscape works great.
Unfortunately when I try to install this dialer on dutty's WM6.5 Leo R6 (or R1-R6, same on all). This dialer doesn't work, and The device falls back to Windows default dialer.
The Leo ROM doesn neither support Confcall, nor landscape mode, so I'm looking out for a dialer like this, that works on WM6.5 Leo ROMs.
Any suggestions?

Hey qbus00. I was wondering if you might like to post the cab and the screenshots back up as I was just looking for this and have found that you've deleted it!!
I decided not to upgrade to 6.5 after reading a lot of negative reviews about it on this forum - others may have made the same decision. It would be nice it you could re-post the dialler for us old 6.1 stalwarts.

give S2U2 a try, i love it!
i prefer to keep the WM6.5 screenlock.
and the real problem for me is when the screen is not locked, i want a slide to answer (so s2u2 wil not change anything about this?)

Use "SmartLock" . Is the best way to do what you want.
sorry but smartlock is not the solution to my problem...
even if i ask to smartlock to lock with an incoming call, it's the Acer dialer that appears firts and not the WM slide to answer.
There is a simple solution to deactivate Acer Dialer and to use WM Dialer.
Download Advanced Config Go to Phone / Dialer / Disabled
This solved my problem.... Im using resco's contact manager for "slide 2 answer" and acer's call handling was dominant, thats why i had to disable this dialer...

another slide 2 answer proggie which is for free is s2u2, its freeware just google it. many skins can be found on this forums too

when the phone is not locked with S2U2 and if you have an incoming call, is it the slide to answer of s2u2 or the Acer dialer that appears ??

i think acers call management wont appear anymore if you disable acers dialer via ad config tool. im using phonex atm and acers phone management doesnt appear anymore
have you guys tried stopping the acer dialer from installing in the first place? it is still in the extrom right? so it means that it installs after you set up your device (calibrate screen, input time and date...)
which means if it was not installed in the first place, you can use any dialer you want... i might be wrong though, i have used several acer and eten phones and all of them uses the "push camera button" while the system tries to instal oem cabs to stop it.

I recently flashed the 2.5 MaxManila and I can't seem to revert the rhodium sms back into the windows mobile sms app. On my last ROM, I used the SMS tab windows default cab but it's not working. does anyone know of other cabs to change it?
That cab doesnt work for sense 2.5 so at this time there isnt a way that I know of.
