Moderator Critic!

Hi!
I am just a softwaredeveloper who created an account here in this board in order to get in contact with some people. I translated ROM parts for chefs, shared ideas and tried to help other people with their questions.
Yesterday when proposing an idea for a new ROM i linked to an application in another forum - it turned out to be a patched version (warez). The link was correctly removed by an admin (without contacting me - if i hadn't checked the thread i may never realised) - thats ok. I dont want to start a discussion about warez, cooking ROMs, the nature of this board or whatever.
I corrected the link to the original authors website and after that i got banned from the board. Nice. The mod didn't contact me about my mistake before with the link (hey - maybe forum rules should be worked out more precicely and put in the header / footer of the website?). The mod didn't check the new link but banned me just without reason. I contacted the administrator and got no response.
Hey - if this is a misunderstandig, then unban me and a short sorry will do it. If you just dont want me in that board for any reason, then tell me and delete my account, posts and personal info.

He only re-posted the link to the website of the deveopers of his recommended software.

If what you say is correct then the Mod should reconsider.
All the foul language and personal attacks seems acceptable.
I think that the standard of co ntrol lacks consistancy.

Yes i got an explanation and some apology too - it seemed to be a misunderstanding because 2 senior members reported the link as "bad" but it wasn't... and the mod didnt doublecheck it himself. I hope in future banning will be done more carefully and not just based on "second-hand information"...

PPCwarez like sites

Well it seems ppcwarez is no longer working and I can't seem to find any sites that are like it. Does anyone know of any sites that are similar to it.

The original poster should be banned, period.
I hate this kind of thing because it will discourage people for making application.

So, the other post where i asked for Sashimi 7.5 was closed by all the way.

I don't know.
Just because i asked for the reason of deleting Sashimi from the forum?
is it so evil that i want to know if there is a backdoor or warez in this software before i load it into my phone.
I'm not interested in the fact that bengali is baned, but i just want to know whats wrong with his software. But if you will begin to close all posts with this thread, free opinion here goes down.
Just tell us what the problem with the prog is and good.
If you think that was too hard, than you could bann me, too but that has nothing to do with a community.
And by the way, thanks to thoose who send me Sashimi 7.5...

Now to your previous thread:
Your points in there were fine and valid I don't think P1Tater had any beef with that. But jeanga and akarnik began a discussion about bengalihs actions, which are still under review. So it was closed to avoid speculation until all the facts are known.

Thanks for the answer my friend.
With something like that, i can life, cause it answers my questions, an good.
The fact that people are speculating about the ban is normal i think.
Cause if a member with over 1000 posts is banned people start to talk.
If someone with 50 posts is banned noone will notice.
So AlltheWay, don't be mad with me, and before people start to talk again, please close this post.

In the future if you have a problem with actions taken by a Mod then PM them, ABSOLUTELY do NOT open a new thread. I am sure that AllTheWay or P1Tater would have explained to you why they closed the thread if you had followed the proper procedures. Even if done in ignorance, this can get you a temporary ban for not following the rules. Just a word of advice.

I just opend a new thread caus i noticed hat many people arround here having the same issue.
Don't understand me wrong, i don't want to piss off someone, but a mod, too can get contempt for what they do.

I, P1Tater, closed the thread, not Alltheway. I closed it because the question was asked and answered and then a discussion pertaining to items under investigation were discussed. There was nothing meant towards anyone.
Simply put, question asked and answered and no need for discussion in to items under investigation. Therefore, thread closed.

Not on XDA.

As you have found out, XDA doesn't tolerate warez or warez requests, so please don't ask for warez anywhere on the site.
Please read the forum rules at http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=530 before posting, as I notice you are new to xda, and think about the ethics of asking for free access to something which has cost lots of money to develop.

You want them? Buy them.
Most of them are crap anyway.

.... and just a little addition regarding the ethics,... the reason we are so anti warez here is simply that if we as consumers do not purchase software and games legitimately, hard working developers (more so the independent ones) could simply decide to pack it all in,... We'd be truly stuffed then.

im looking for an eternity warriors 3 gem hack. all ive seen so far is a load of survey this survey that and tbh im starting to think that there is no hack at all available for it.
is there any legit hacks around or is every one of them just fake ?

Unfortunately, any hacks for in app purchases are considered against xda rules. It doesn't matter if it can be earned through game play or by other means, if it can be purchased with real money then it shouldn't be hacked and those hacks can't appear on xda. Rule 6 is pretty clear: 6. Do not post warez. If a piece of software requires you to pay to use it, then pay for it. We do not accept warez and nor do we permit any member to request, promote or describe ways in which warez, cracks, serial codes or other means of avoiding payment, can be obtained. This is a site of developers, i.e. the sort of people who create such software. When you cheat a software developer, you cheat us as a community.
