Hi
anyone know if it is possible to copy sms messages from one phone (XDA's) onto another as i do not want to lose the messages if possible.
Cheers
Paul :?:
The simcard usually is able to store messages.
Im pretty sure that the sim manager in WM2003 Smartphone was able to copy sms to simcard... but i dont know if its possible with PPC... i dont have the option on my MDA Compact...

i'm pretty sure that the sim manager cant ever access sms's stored on the sim card
it apparenlty cant on the PPC, i tried yesterday, but im sure it could on the smartphone.
I bought a Hyundai A200 PPC Phone edition two days ago. It uses windows mobile 5.
I have a problem with sms handeling and the problem is that I can send sms messages but I can't receive sms messages.
I checked my sim card with another phone (I-mate JAM) and everything is well!
Can anyone help me please!!!
same problem with iPAQ hw6915
guys, i have the same problem with my phone, i bought it used, did a hardreset, it can send SMS fine, but i can't receive any, checked the phone configuration, and it can read the sms service center number from the SIM card, and the SIM works in a different phone.. so what can be the problem??
for some reason, sometimes i get on my Treo with WM6 it says there is 1 Text message unread, but i open it and there is no messages.
is there a file that I can delete that i can have recreate.
it's weird.
e..b
I have 3 "unread" messages. Maybe because I recovered database from my previous systems.
All messages are stored in \Windows\PalmMsgV001 - you can delete it and have clear sms-database It will self recreate after running Messanging app.
I have another question.
I have upgraded from treo 750V Wm5 to wm6.
Before upgrading I made a backup with pimBackup of all contacts and sms. Once upgraded to WM6 i restored my pims data, everything goes well, but I cant find my sms... Nobody can help me?
PIMBackup doesn't backup smses on Treo
How I can do to restore from pim backup? is there any solution?
Thanks a lot!
I was able to get PIM Backup to back up my SMS msg's. The thing is... the 750 combines both MMS and SMS msg's, so you cant restore them both at the same time. If you only restore the SMS msg's it SHOULD work. It worked for me just fine.
I prefer to backup \Windows\PalmMsgV001 from time to time just in case problems with smses. Once I had a problem and it drove me to hard reset because I didn't know where messages are kept...
Hi
How can i get all my contacts from TYTN II onto my TYTN I, the screen on my TYTN II is cracked hence I am using my old one which is a TYTN I
Both can be used with active synch am just not sure exactly how to do it
Thanks
Set up an account with activesync with your tytn ii and sync it with outlook (or other), then do the same procedure with tytn i and contacts should be syncd.
Would that work with Outlook express? Am trying it now but I have a red exclamation mark on the green active synch system tray icon
Try PIM Backup. This program can be installed on both devices and make it very easy to backup\restore your PIM data
I cant install PIM backup as my TYTN II screen is all white with several cracks on it
Use Jeyo Mobile Companion to control your TyTn II over ActiveSync.
Hi all,
since some weeks I am using an HTC Touch Dual with an original ROM running Win Mobile 6.1. Until last week I synced with my home PC only. On that PC I got Birdie Sync running to sync with Mozilla Thunderbird and Sunbird. Everything worked smoothly and when a call came in the phone showed the name and a picture of the caller.
Last week started to also sync with my work pc. There we use Outlook 2007. The sync worked perfectly fine, but on incoming calls the phone just shows the number of the caller but neither the name nor the pic.
Even to restore a backup of the pim database (pim.vol) did not help. So my assumption is that Outlook 2007 is messing up the registry on my mobile.
Does anybody have a clue what might cause this problem?
Thank you for any help or suggestions.
Regards,
Tom
