ActiveSync + Pocket Outlook + Unicode characters
I have Unicode characters in the Note sections of my Outlook Contacts on the desktop PC. I am using Tahoma font and also copied the font to the PPC (Windows\fonts). These characters aren’t showing up correctly under the PPC. Is there anyway to display Unicode characters in Pocket Outlook (Note section of Contacts)?
Thanks for any info…

On your desktop open the outlook 2003 or above. set the default folt for notes as tahoma. Just create a new note. sync with PPC and view it. does this one also not display properly?

No, it does not display properly because Tahoma is not just a True Type font. It is a newer type font and if you look at its icon on PC, you would see an O instead of TT. This newer type font has Unicode characters inside of it. The ActiveSync works with True Type fonts but not with Tahoma. Please let me know if there is a solution, thanks.
Is there any way to use different alarms for different events in Pocket Outlook?
Does anyone know of an application that will do this? I mean set different alarm tones for different events?
I create an appointment in Microsoft Outlook 2007, just an subject no text in the body, after sync with direct push the appointment is in the pocket pc, in the dayview the appointment shows an note icon (if you turned this on at options). But the appointment body is empty. If you create an appointment with de mobile outlook or the web access this note is not shown.
Does anyone know how to solve this

Hi all,
I am using outlook to synchronize my contacts with my address book in my HTC Touch Diamond 2 (Topaz).
What I am wondering is that when I tell the address book in my phone to filter my contacts it does not keep that settings. When I close the address book and reopen it, the filter settings are gone.
With the "filter" settings I mean the categories I can select in the options of my address book. The categories itself I gave each contact in my address book in outlook on my PC.
Is there a way to tell the phone to keep that filter settings?
greez,

Up until recently I was using WiMo and was very happy with the SPB diary application. In Outlook calendar I have various events categories, both standard (e.g. birthdays) and non-standard (e.g. hearings, in my case), all denoted by different colour. SPB diary imported those categories automatically and allowed me to automatically assign colours to their text. Therefore I could automatically see with a quick glance all the important stuff. I' ve been looking for a simillar app in android but no luck yet. Best one I have found yet is Jorte but it's not the same thing as you need to "manualy" change the colour of each event as oppose to changing colour by importing the category from Outlook. Currently, all Outlook sync events come off as green in various apps, HTC calendar included, without the option to change the colour.
Anyone has any build something like what I am after or has any ideas? preferably without using Google sync. Too much clouding is bad for your health methinks
