I am unable to Active Sync my XDA. I have tried clicking the Sync button in Active Sync on the XDA itself, but the XDA wants me to connect to WAP.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled two versions of Active Sync and reset my XDA several times.
Please can someone help.
Thanks.
Hi all-
I am having some trouble with active sync and outlook. I have a standard rom fuze syncing to outlook 2000 on a windows xp computer. The other day after a sync I noticed my contacts in outlook were all deleted, yet they are still on the phone. I noticed in active sync on the computer that it is only syncing the calendar, favorites and files, not contacts. When I look in the active sync program on the phone I see that the contacts option is now grayed out and is not available to select. I am not worried about loosing my database, I use pim backup, I just want to get my contacts back onto my computer. I have been using windows phones for several years and have never come across this problem before..
I deleted the partnership both on the phone and on the computer, and then re established the syncing partnership. At first if appeared it would sync the contacts, but when the syncing process was done, I was back to where I started with the contacts grayed out again.
I did come across these threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=428257
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=264609
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=246075
and none of them provided any help to my situation.
One person did suggest installing some office xp updates which did not help, someone suggested to hard reset the phone but before I do that I wanted to ask if anyone knows of anything else I can try, and how I can prevent this from happening again. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Handy thing that
thanks Jack of Clubs for the helpful link. I will definately check that out...
But for now, I need to get those contacts back into outlook. I use outlook to sync from my windows phone to a few nokia phones.
Anyone have any ideas I can try before a hard reset?
You didn't setup any type of exchange for your contacts for another server did you? Since my move to Vista/7 and the updated WMDC I haven't had that problem. Good luck...let us know how its sovled.
no, i don't have any type of exchange setup. just basic syncing to activesync through usb cable. quite baffling to me..
Deleted Out look contacts
This happened to me, luckily i found all my contacts in the deleted folder of Outlook and simply restored them, it has to do with the direction of syncing, i.e. pc to device or device to pc, on will over write the other......
yes, I did copy the deleted items back into the contact database.
I am trying to figure out how to re establish the syncing relationship between the phone and outlook..

thats really hard to do. i couldnt figure it out the one time i ended the partnership then tried to re-establish it.
I have looked for an answer for this and haven't stumbled upon it. Can someone point me in the right direction?
If I set up my HTC Touch Pro with an exchange account then I have to use Active Sync to do such. This means that I can do longer use Active Sync to sync with my laptop via USB. Thus how do I add more programs to my phone if I want to install some programs later on? If I don't have a CAB file for the program I would like to install, and must do it through my laptop, then how can that be accomplished when Active Sync is already engaged with the exchange account?
Thanks.
Stumped
I have been trying to find help on this Active Sync thing but not even google can help me. I ran across CwSync at handango dot com. Just wondering if anyone here has used that software and if it would work so I can run an Exchange account with Active Sync as well as install programs on my phone through Active Sync.
Hi,
I' ve just performed a clean installation of Windows 7 on my laptop.
I subsequently tried to sync my contacts and calendar fron TD2 using Mobile Device Center. It showed synchronization was performed but nothing has changed ! My Outlook (Contacts-Calendar) is still empty!
What am I doing wrong? I cant try anything else because I am afraid that I may erase all my contacts/Calendar in my laptop
Pls Help!

Check your sync settings for each item and make sure its set to "replace item on device" if there's a conflict. You should be able to get to these settings through active sync on your device.
I would suggest using gmail, upload all of your calendar and contacts, and set up google as yor exchange server using m.google.com as server address.
That way you can sync up remotely after hard reset etc.
I was wondering if anyone out there has suffered and resolved the following issue.
I have a Sensation which is running ICS version 4.0.3 and software number 3.32.401.5 the ROM I’m currently using is found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1529941 the deodexed version.
I use this phone for work and up until 2 weeks ago everything was working without issues but for some unknown reason all of a sudden, HTC Sync has stopped working. I’m now unable to Sync my work calendar to my phone and since the office are often updating my diary via a CRM package I need these changes to be reflected on my phone. I know it’s not the HTC Sync program, as I have the sync software installed on 3 machines. My home laptop, my work laptop and my work desktop and the phone no longer syncs to any of them. I’ve installed and reinstalled (and before anyone asks antivirus was turned off), still no joy.
Does anyone one know what might have gone wrong or does anyone know of a different app or program I can use to update the calendar? I did try Google calendar sync but that just didn’t sync, no matter what sync interval I used.
I must add I’m only trying to get my outlook appointments to show up on my phone I don’t need a 2 way sync solution.
Thanks in advance for any help and advice given.
