I'm confused! The Forum Index for Himalaya & Andes says that it includes the Andes which is an updated Himalaya (such as XDA IIi). But the Alpine index says that the Alpine model is an XDA IIi as well - so which one is it?
I have an I-Mate PDA2, which I understand is the same as an XDA or O2 IIi. Mine has a reference number of PH10-D and I need to resolve exactly what model I have so that I can continue to try and fix my A2DP / BT stereo headphones problems which is driving me nuts!
Thanks!
Roger
PH10-D is Alpine device.
thanks
as far as i know then Alpine == andes
which is why there is no andes

OK, thanks, so in that case, what is the difference between the PH10-C and the PH10-D??

Hi,
browsing the internet I found that both XDA mini and XDA II mini are existing and they are not the same, but unfortunately I could not found a comparison (in each page only one of them is mentioned and at each seller only one of them is available).
Besides the name I guess the processor type is different (PXA270 and PXA272) and that XDA mini can be bought in Germany (according to regional O2 pages).
Can anyone clarify it?
Thx in advance,

This is being discussed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=31161
Really? I cannot not find any related info to my question there.
I asked about O2 XDA II Mini, not MDA Compact II (and not Magician2)...
/tp
Er...OK...my mistake.
Having said that though, the same probably still applies.
Hi all,
have looked at the connectors page on the site and searched various threads but cannot find the awnser, are the pin outs for the Wallaby the same as the Alpine, only reason I ask is I have a chance of a XDA car kit, need to know if my Alpine will work in it as it is designed for the XDA aka Wallaby
Can anyone help please?

Forum Says:
The Himalaya phone is sold as XDA II, MDA II, Qtek 2020 and many other names. The Andes is the updated version that has a 1.3 megapixel camera, sold (among other names) as the XDA IIi.

Wiki says:
PocketPC Phone Edition device made by HTC from Taiwan.
Before public release HTC codenamed the Himalaya internally as Andes
Also known as O2 XDA II, T-Mobile MDA II, Qtek 2020, iMate Phone Edition, TSM500 and probably a few lesser known brand names.

Could we please update the forum description so it doesn't give misinformation?
(sorry if this is a bit rude, but things like this really bug me )
Well What IYHO is the correct text. ? as Wiki you can edit yourself!
imho the wiki is correct, sorry i should have made that apparant in my first post
Very good site helped me loads with my XDA IIs, but I now have an O2 XDA iq AKA Qtek 8310 and HTC Innovation.
Does this phone have a separate forum yet? I've been thinking it was under the HTC Tornado, but the patches / software for this phone does not work for the IQ.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ashley
Just seen the new section set up
I've just seen the new, empty, sub forum set up - thanks
is it really possible ? i couldn't find any information about this pda
Probably be best if you started a thread here:

This is the part of the forum for HTC Universals (also called Dopod 900, O2 Xda Exec, I-Mate JasJar, Qtek 9000(?), etc...) - it is not for ROMs that are Universal.
Sorry!
This is mainly an HTC site. This is a Universal forum, you won't find it here.
