Video Output - General Topics

I have been using an XDA I for about two years now and it finally died. I was wondering if the XDA II or XDA III offered a video output for an in car stereo. Also I noticed that the XDA II has more memory, is faster and has a bigger camera. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on the XDA III besides a keyboard. Thanks.

i think you mean
xdaII == xdaIIi
and
XDAIII == xdaIIs
the only way you can get video output as tv out or monitor out is buying the xdaII not the xdaII you were talking about but the real xdaII codename himalaya
and then buy the backpack
but it's pretty useless though
because the backpack can only deliver around 5 fps
which is fast enough for powerpoint but not for video

anyone using a fonegear wireless headset??

as much as I'd like a Jabra BT200 headset a brand new one is a bit rich for me and ebay doesn't have any of the right model for XDA at the moment.
has anyone used a wireless headset at all, something like either the premier wireless headset or the Fonegear wireless headset at all with their XDA or XDA II??
it's a cheaper solution and does the same job.
looks like this might be it for me, even though the jabra is a much prettier offering.

xda IIi accessories advice please

I'm going to be getting the xda IIi in a few weeks and I was was wondering if anyone could recommend a good keyboard and bt headset. Is the stowaway worth the extra 10 - 30 on the o2 keyboard? Aren't they made by the same people? Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks.

Keyboard
I have one.. It does work but, you have to hook up the cable to your serial port in the XDAII, is not too accurate especially in well lit areas, has to be on a flat surface.
It is cool and it is worth it just for the ooooowwwwss and Awwwwwsssss.

swap MDA3 for ipod

Ive been offered a swap for a brand new ipod 60GB photo for my MDA3.
OHHHHHH What to DO
XDA IIs & iPod Photo
i also have XDA IIs and recently bought an iPodhoto 40 gb.
But both of these have differnet functionalities, like an iPod can just play music and view photos and it is a very good product for music lovers, it is a wonderful product u can listen to music for long hours and even connect to your music system be it at home or at car.
But on the other hand XDA IIs acts as a al in one device with phone, camera, music, video, pda so it has got much more functionalities then the iPod.
Both these products are differnet and dont have comparison so i dont suggest anyone to change his XDA IIs with an iPod.
cheers

XDA2I on XDA car kit-is it possible

I know the dimensions are slightly different but has anyone tried the above or are the connections completely different. From the pictures i've seen of the car kits they look similar but if the pinouts are different then i will have to get a different car kit.
Thanks in advance,
Graham.
My new Qtek 2020i both fits and works great with the original hands free + GPS car kit for the "old" Qtek 2020...
Best regards,
Ivan

xda2 as car audio player

i use my xda 2 as a mp3 player in the car but i need some help. the micro jack that connects the xda to the stereo system gets loose after driving for a while which greatly reduces the sound cooming out of the speakers. any suggestions? thanks in advance......
maybe another converter ?
nah. dont think so. adapters that small are very rare here in the phil. ive tried to look for it at different malls but they really are not available. im using the adapter provided by nokia when you buy a 5510 ( my old phone). im just looking for a way to prevent it from dislodging from the xda2. hmmm, duct tape may be a good idea at this moment......
Bluetac!
expansys have 3 adaptors
or you could make one yourself canabalising an old xda headset
bluetac? is that available in the philippines? i wouldnt even dream of "cannibalizing" my o2 headset. its much too expensive to buy a replacement if ever i "murder" the thing. :?
