Hey, UK! Can you help us across the Pond? - General Topics

We are underprivileged here in the US. Anybody there on the right side of the Atlantic have a line on REFURBISHED XDA's? I really need an XDA II, but can't collect the $$ for a new one. It's been around a while there in the UK, I'd imagine there's a supply of used/repaired/refurbished units. Can you help?

I'll keep me eyes open fella but they're still scarily priced over here as we seem to pay more for most things than everyone else.
I'd of thought that you'd be better off getting one from just about anywhere else though (i-mate, Qtek, mda2 etc) they will probably be much cheaper.
Ste G.

O2 Atom - UK Sources?

Hi
Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get an O2 Atom from in the UK (except for eBay of course).
I'm in London so does anyone know if any shops on Tottenham Court Road stock them or can order them?
Also, I've noticed a lot of eBay ads for PDA phones recently from Chinese sellers with random names and no feedback, not accepting paypal! I reported them to eBay to check out but didn't hear anything back (against their policy apparently). Has anyone successfully ordered anything from one of these sellers, or had any bad experience? Look out if you spot any deals that are too good to be true!
Cheers,
Joe
I don't buy things costing more than 20 dollars from anybody who doesn't take PayPal! Very simple reason: They're usually, not sometimes, crooks! And I don't buy anything costing more than 50 dollars from anybody who doesn't have a bunch of good feedback either. Doing so is just setting yourself up for a big, expensive fall.

Looking to buy a Blue Angel, with a camera in Quadband.

Title says it all. Want a Qtek 9090, or the like. I have looked all over Ebay, and am just not willing to pay 500 dollars for one.
Can anyone help me out?
I have been lurking for a few days, and have searched all around looking to see if it was a NO NO to post want / Sale Adds in the main forum, but I see a few others in here. Sorry if I am stepping on any toes.
Thanks !!
€350 plus shipping from UK to USA, any good to you?

Phone is in very good condition. I have used it very carefully for about 6 months. Never dropped it, no scratches, used with a screen protector from day one. I had bought it new from expansys, so comes with box and all accessories.
Let me know if you are interested and I can send you pics.
Yes please. I woudl like pics.
I'm selling my SX66, but it doesn't have a camera...

Where to see in London

i'm going to be in london next week - are there any stores that i can walk into to see the Raphael in person?
i live in the US and this is my first time in the UK, so i'm not familiar with the providers and stores over there.
thanks
Aaron
Yes. Inkino have them in stock (www.inkino.co.uk). Although their store is quite small, they keep a good range of phones at good prices. They are also reliable (and honest) and an HTC Partner. They are at 48 Tottenham Court Road W1T 2EF. Tel: +44 (0) 207 631 4567.
I would be careful with some of the other shops on Tottenham Court Road, particularly some of the smaller ones.
PS No, I don;t work for Inkino!
Can I just add that I have bought my QTEK S200, Trinity and Touch Pro from INKINO. You may not get the very best price (you are generally talking only a few tens of pounds on a £500 product), but the service and assistance I have had from the guys who work there is second to none.
I went in yesterday with a problem on my Touch Pro and it was sorted straight away with no quibbles whatsoever. All the people who work there know their stuff when it comes to HTC and will be very straight with you. They are an HTC Authorised Ultimate Partner. They do not hard sell or push something they know is not what you want or need. A BIG contrast to some of the other stores in that area!
There are in fact two INKINO stores. The one at 48 Tottenham Court Road is within another shop and can get busy, the other is a little down the road at 9 Great Russell Street, bigger and generally more staff but no less quality of service.
(A big thanks to Alan, if you're listening, for yesterday - its working fine)
PS I don't work for them either.
remember to look around all the shops at tcr because theres a wide range of prices from 490 to 650 there
THANKS! everyone, appreciate it

How much is a at&t tilt worth?

Hey all,
Gonna be selling my very soon, its in good condition, new screen.
Curious how much I should be asking.
Thanks
In my area, I've seen a bunch in the price range of $100-$150 in online classified (Craigslist). ATT Fuzes can now be found in the $200-$300 zone.
Also, check what used ones have been selling for on Ebay...

Sensation as a World Phone?

Greetings All,
I am heading out to the Middle East soon and am in need of a good GSM phone for my travels. While the majority of my time will be spent in Afghanistan, I will be taking vacation in other, yet to be determined parts of the world. As such my thoughts are to have one phone that will work pretty much everywhere and for which I can just purchase local sims and swap them out as I move around.
I am a big android fan, currently have an EVO 3D on Sprint (alas that will not work in afghan. The specs on this phone seems quite good, my only concern is trying to wrap my head around all the offered frequencies. Seems some phone offer some, others others, and no one really all of them.
If there are other concerns you feel I should be considering, please feel free to speak up, ask questions, etc. I plan to purchase it on Amazon, and I am aware I need an unlocked one and will have to pay about $500 - $600 for it.
