Newbie + OsX

I'm totaly new with register,bootloader etc. And I'm using a Mac so is all that stuff possible with it? Is there another way for installing than use a PC ? does anyone have The Missing sync 4.0 cr**ked ? I'll donate 10€ to the Polaris Project If i can do everything without a PC

i know u can install say xp on ur mac using bootcamp and do it that way too. i know other though will tell u how to do stuff in osx. im pretty sure u will have to do bootcamp to flash to new roms but im sure u can sync with osx. i haven't used a mac yet but i plan on getting a mac book pro once i have saved up enough for one.
im sure others with macs will provide some feedback too soon.

Or just use VMware, install ActiveSync under windows there and forward your USB port to WMware. Don't know if it works under OS X, but USB forwarding works well under WinXP with VMware workstation 5/6.

Im interested in this as well. I dont want to install xp on my machine as I got the mac to get away from everything pc.

Mac users should try SyncMate from Eltima. Its free, but still in Beta stage. I got it to work just fine with a Kaiser.

PocketMSN

Can any one upload pocketmsn cab only without windows live search etc.

I'd like it too.
WM6 Live Messenger sucks. It's almost impossible to change profile on that new version. I counted 19 steps.
PocketMSN_WM5_by_NiTroGen.cab isn't working for me.

I tried with both installed at the same time. So the answer to your question is: Fine .
As a test I did log 2 different profiles on each program on the same machine and did chat one with the other without any problem.
My usage will be to set one with my profile and the other with the profile of my daughter. When I travel with my family, I'll lend her my phone. She will easily connect and not mess my settings.

That is great. I am going to do that as soon as a Flash another Rom. Great idea.

File Size on this download is only 384kb. I tried installing and only installs partially. I compared with other PocketMSN cabs and the others are over 1mb. Something must be wrong with this.

How to Sync with Mac OS X

Hi,
This is my 1st post and i just wonder how to activesync my HTC Polaris with my Mac OS X.

I've not used it personally but from what I've seen of it it looks to do the job for a variety of devices.
I'm about to take the plunge and buy a Orbit 2 on O2 so I will also be testing out the best option for syncing with my Mac.

I didn't try Pocket Mac Pro because i have problem with sync witm my ipaq.
@taster thanks for the link i will try the basic free program

it would also be strange if you dident use the one you recommended

SyncMate is a far better program and its FREE. I use SyncMate on my MacBook Pro.

I've tried SyncMate and succeeded to established connection but couldn't sync my contact with my WM6, any other solution guys

I use "The Missing Sync" V4 to sync my Cruise with my IMac intel via USB.
Everything works fine and fast.

For me, the best i´ve tried-and the one I use with my "imac alu" is syncmate. . It´s OK..

hello, i have never had much trouble with active sync, but i know many have after flashing, if you do a search using the search button at the top of the page and put in the active sync version you will get many answers there

HTC sync available

Hi Dream owners,
Tks to the Haykuro built and the CMF's post, we can now synchronize contact localy with HTC sync :
Sync doesn't work perfectly but that is a promizing first step.

Awesome, HTC has impressed me with their obvious care for their customers (despite not designing the phone that is extremely attractive). Kudos to HTC for their hard work making Android a great platform

for those of us with Haykuro's built mounted to their g1 like me and my friends.

Does it actually work? If so, does it only work on those builds with the HTC framework? (Not that I personally need it. lol)

It totally messed up my phone ASH!!! My computer wouldn't even detect my phone after i install the program. I tried removing it and it was giving me some x86 errors lol. So i had to do a system restore to get my phone drivers back..

used mega upload as 4shared was really slow!!
Sync works for me, the Vista drivers wouldn't load, so I used the XP drivers and all is good!

The drivers do not seem to work for me on Windows 7 64 bit, so I guess I will have to wait

I don't think I will be using it often.
It just duplicated all my contacts, so I went into googlemail and deleted all contacts...re-synced and it deleted all contacts out of outlook 2007.
fortunatly i took a back up of my PST file before hand

Has anybody been able to get Sync working on non-Haykuro builds? It installs fine, but doesn't work...I need to check logcat.

yup, just contacts...bit dissapointing really, I was hoping for a proper sync solution with calender, tasks, memos etc.
It is only builds based on the HTC fw, not google's fw. Which is why it works with Haykuros stuff...and the Hero Beta
