Hey,
Has anyone seen any network monitoring software for the xda ii? By network monitoring I mean a program that displays site ID & sector, signal strength/distance from site. Basicaly I'm after the equivalent of engineering mode on Nokia phones.
Cheers for any help.

Hi,
I'm looking for tool to monitor my network connection with my provider. For WM6.1. (S730-S740).
I need a tool that can be displayed on the home screen and it only has to display if there is a good connection with my network(only GSM is necessary)
Hopefully one of you guys could help me with it.
I searched a lot but am not able to find a solution to my issue
I need to display
Cell Broadcast / Cell Info Display / Area Info on Windows Mobile 7

DVP Mango update 7720
any update to my query
is anyone aware how I could achieve the Cell Info Display on WM7 mango?
I dont think this is supported at all.
For Location Information you can use search button and under the search bar you will see your current location provided by GPS or AGPS (this would be much more accurate than tower location information)

well I am aware of getting the info via GPS / AGPS. The main use of Cell Broadcast / Cell Info Display / Area Info that Cell operators send service messages / current tower from where we are receiving the signal and some other info which is not possible via GPS / AGPS. Hence needed to enable Cell Broadcast / Cell Info Display / Area Info for the Windows Mango phone. I have regular mobiles in which this can be easily displayed by going in to settings but I see no feature in Windows Mango phone
chk out this thread .. it is the same thing for this thread.. and what i also looking for

That's probably because "Windows Mobile 7" never shipped on any phones. The project was cancelled a couple of years back and none of the software or handsets was ever released.
So has any one found a solution to this issue?
I think this is a necessity, because like in my area the telecom company if told which Cell Tower is shown up on the display fixes the issues a lot faster than if we just told them the area. Because this Cell Tower helps them identify the exact tower which is causing the problem, rather than having to roam around multiple towers to find which tower is the problematic tower.
Hello,
My phone is always on roaming mode (without cost). So the R is always displayed and it's not possible to know if we are connected nor the speed (H or 3G).
I want to write a software which display an icon H, 3G or none when the phone is connected or not. But what is the best way? Service or not? Activity or not? Service called by activity? Service without activity?
Thanks to help me
Question... What Windows software tool would you use to measure 3G signal strength, downlink/uplink throughpu, packet loss with metric results? Im creating a survey kit for my company and cant find what I need. Everything is for Wi-Fi that I have found.
Hi, I recently bought a LG g3 smarthphone and I found out that it's an AT&T version phone, but thankfully it's unlocked. My problem is, that it doesn't get any mobile network. In the setting it says that the Mobile network type this device can use is EDGE, but my local carriers can only provide LTE, GSM and WCDMA. I've tried to solve this on my own, but without luck. The solutions with 3845#*850# or similar codes just woun't work, when I choose any RAT it says: "succsess", but it doesn't change a thing and when I choose LTE only mode the phone blocks my mobile connection and says: "Restricted access changed: Data service is blocked" .
I really need any help, because I cannot see myself using a mobile phone without mobile internet. BTW, my location is Estonia.
