I wanted to backup my sms and data and reflash my xda II, since it gives me trouble with the sdcard and other stuff. For the data no problem but I am not able to sync all of my sms. I have no "extra" folders just the standard ones but all the apps I tried just manage to backup the Inbox folder.
I tried the following apps:
- Jeyo Mobile Companion (sync inbox but only 50 sms from sent folder)
- Jeyo Mobile Expander (with outlook 2003/ just syncing inbox folder)
- SmsBackup (giving me an not readable error)
- SP Studio (not reading any directory)
Any help would be very apreciate

Where does WM5 storage them?
Does nobody knows this?
Messages are kept in WM6 (and I think WM5) in a file called cemail.vol. Contacts, addresses and calendar are in pim.vol. Normally these are read/copy/write protected by the system, so you won't be able to copy and paste them. Use something like PIM Backup by FdcSoft to backup and restore emails and other info.

I'm using WM 6.1 on my HTC Polaris and use the default mail client to send and receive mails using an IMAP account.
I configured my Desktop to store sent mails inside an IMAP folder, so I can access them from diffrent machines and look something up I've sent from another location.
Is it possible to get WM to do the same and store the send mails inside that folder?

is there a way i can copy all the text msgs from my old mobile running windows mobile 6.1 to my new DHD. i tried sprite migrate but it only copied the inbox and sent items folders. i'm looking for a prog or a method to copy all folders and subfolders i have on my windows mobile device. btw i have more than 1500 msgs in diff. folders.

You can try bloove.com, but it's not free for 2 phones so I would recommend to start with free version and check that sms on both your mobiles are visible in the web.
