When connecting the HP C912 camera using infrared (jetsend) it shows up on the mda ii ´HP C912 connected´ but on the camera side it shows it can´t make the connection work. On the Mda ii i go to settings/connections/beam and on the bottom is the link to connect an infrared beam. On the camera i show picture and press jetsend button.
Purpose is to send over pictures to the pda since the display on the camera is very small and doesn´t show if a picture is right focused or not.
Camera uses compactflash so no swapping possible
Can this be done? Do I need special software?

HI all,
I'm requesting if you anyone knows a free WEBCAM software where it can turn the KAISER into a webcam that can be used in Live messenger or skype etc......... I've searched on the internet but they aren't working on WM6, so i'm asking for help
Thanks!
J
I know that you stated you were looking for a 'free' solution and sadly I do not believe one exists. However, you can check out a non-freeware program called Webcamera Plus from Ateksoft. I'm sure it would work on the Kaiser.
It does work. I set up my Kaiser (Dutty's Touch ROM version 3.0) connected via USB to my OQO 02 (XP Pro Tablet) and used Skype. I only get about 4 frames per second. I don't know if it's the software or maybe the cable I'm using is USB 1.1. Both the front and back camera's work (finally, a use for the front camera in the USA!). My front camera seems to have a weird angle to get a full face shot. Sort of up and to the right. The resolution, as expected, is better on the back camera.
I guess I'll go through the struggle of setting up a bluetooth activesynch to see how that works...
any success would like to know how well it works before I buy it.
Gosh, with the bad video driver on the Kaiser, i would bet the results would suck big time............the reason i'm asking if the kaiser can do webcaming is because i'm on a 64-bit OS system and its hard to get webcams to work with correct drivers on my 64-bit windows xp....I'm hoping that if this works, then i can use it as webcam.....
I have Webcamera plus version 2 and it works great, I get 10-15 fps over wifi. no need of cables.
I am getting 1~2fps over the USB cable, any ideas why it could be so slow?, on the phone the pciture is far smoother, but on the PC is very slow
-Mods, delete please -
Hello, I have a Qtek 8300 (SP5m Tornado), which has its earpiece broken, so it is not useful anymore as a phone. However, the camera, processor, USB port and wifi are OK.
I was thinking on a possible reuse of it as a wireless IP Camera: just a USB power supply, and the phone transmits via wifi to the wifi router, the images from the camera. I was looking for a software to do this, and the closest is Ateksoft Webcamera plus, but it is not what I need, because it needs a PC with a client software.
Any ideas on how to do this ?
Or any ideas on how to reuse my Tornado for a different application ?
Thank you!
Yes, its possible. I'll try to power up my SDAII and I'll tell you the software you need. They have a limited trial but works cool. I'll post back as soon as I can get mine working. I believe last time I powered it up I had a white screen.
How can you break the earpiece?!
I guess it is just dirt on the connector between PBA and earpiece - open it up and get that cleaned
Regarding the WebCam: the only tool is "WebCamPlus" by Ateksoft:
http://www.ateksoft.com/webcamplus.html
You cannot do it without a PC driver as a webcam.
Still you can use the camera to take photos, but quality is so poor - would not do that.
Other use of the device:
load a WM6+ ROM with SDHC card support and use it as music player, it has a really good audio quality - PocketPlayer preferred!
use it as GPS logger with a BT mouse, it will log a whole day (8 hours) and only eat < 20% battery capacity
I wondered lately if can be would dismantle the phone, remove the camera and the camera itself to make such a web camera at the usb. It may be an article or something about this. I will say that I am not interested connecting camera via the network.
Hi, just connected the front DVR on my KGL unit, all working well but it doesn’t show up on the f cam app when I select front camera?. Any idea how to do this?. Reverse cam does.
Also any one having an issue that after you use an sd card in the head unit your windows laptop thinks it’s now write protected?. Just had another new 32gb card busted after I’ve put it in my laptop to format to use in an other device.
Changed the storage to the flash and the jerking has now stopped
did you solve this? Im having an issue with F-CAM APP I have a warning image in both cameras... front and rear...
I can't even find the F-CAM app on Play store anymore. The one with the camera lens avatar.
F-Cam shows the image of a Cam connected to the usb ports
if you are connecting the camera to AVIN wires, it will show in the AVIN mode
Hope this helps
Hello, I often use Samsung Dex with my s22ultra (using wifi). The problem is with the "Camera" app. It is very limited, no zoom, no resolution options. Anyone have a solution? Maybe some other video app?
Are you using the front or back camera? The front (selfie) camera doesn't zoom, nor can you change the resolution.
I try use back camera... and i cant zoom or change anything options.
What is your setup? How are you connecting to the monitor/TV, and how are you controlling your phone? Wired? Wireless? Are you using a keyboard and mouse?
To my knowledge, you can't display DeX on your phone itself, it has to be connected to an external display like a TV or monitor.

I connect phone with laptop via wireless. On laptop use keyboard and mouse. I can only change cam (front - back), options photo - video. Nothing more.

Ok. I presume you are using the Samsung DeX app on your laptop and that your laptop is a Windows machine.
I will try it today. I expect that I will get the same results.
To be honest, I don't think there are any other camera/video apps that would do what you want while in DeX. At least not any that would work with the phone's cameras. DeX was not really designed to be used in that way. It was intended to be a laptop/desktop replacement solution.
Why are you needing to be able to have back camera control while using DeX? Just curious.

Ok. So I have the same limitation. When I run the camera app from DeX I can only switch between front and back cameras. No zoom control.
However, if I connect via Link to Windows and then control the phone from Phone Link, I have complete control of the camera. I connected using Phone Link wirelessly.
So, if you want complete control of your phone from your laptop, connect your phone via Link to Windows and then use Phone Link to control it.
