Hi,
I've been browsing the web and can't seem to find anything suitable. Does anybody know of way of sending text messages from your PC through Active Sync to an XDA mini s. Something similar to the Nokia PC Suite. I can't believe that nothing exists?
Thanks
Marc

1, welcome to XDA-Dev
2, you mean, say, mass message seding with, say, contribution lists on the desktop PC? Or, did you mean simply remote controlling your PPC? If the latter, read my remote control articles (Wiki!)
Hi, Thanks for the welcome.
I've seen the application that remotely controls the PPC through the active sync connection. I was hoping of just some kind of small app that could sit somewhere with your contacts and then send text messages from.
Is the remote control app the way that people normally do this then?

Marc
you can just buy Jeyo mobile companion (to be used independently in your desktop) or mobile extender (to be used as plug in to your outlook) to send SMS from your desktop.
Thanks, will have a look at the Jeyo software. Was hoping for something open source but that's pretty cheap. Marc
I use Pocket Controller-Professional it's great and it syncs clipboards too great for pasting addresses etc from my pc data base into text to send
Hi,
I have searched the forums without any luck in finding exaclty what I need so I thought I'd post a new thread...
I have a HTC Trinity (AKA P3600) and I use the calendar very muck. So far only for private entries because I have my meetings at work in Outlook in my PC and haven't really needed them in my phone so far. Now I got promoted and must be able to update my calendar from my phone since my colleagues need to know where I am and who I'm in a meeting with.
The problem is that I don't wanna put my private stuff on our company's server, even though I know I can set appointments as "private". I would really like to either use Outlook Mobile for separate calendars, or I need to find another calnder-appliction to install. And that needs to be one that's not just "a skin" for the information stored in Outlook Mobile (or is it called Pocket Outlook? I don't remeber atm). I would prefer to be able to sync both calendars some way if possible. And oh, I don't mind paying for software if it's good so pelase tell me of commercial applications as well.
Can anyone help me with suggestions on how to solve my problem?
Thanx so much in advance. Have a great day!
Markus
Please don't flame me for asking about this - I know there are threads all over the place about BB, but they seem to be about getting it to work on specific devices =/
I have an O2 UK contract, with Blackberry Connect Unlimited. - Does this mean I can use the BB service to sync with a MS Exchange server (via push) and browse the web, through a blackberry connection and not incur further data charges?
Any help would really be appreciated,
Thanks
Pretty please??

Hello all,
Im thinking of moving from Windows Mobile to Android (LG Optimus 2x Android 2.2 soon 2.3)
But there is one question that really bugs me!
Will i still be able to synchronize my contacts from outlook to the mobile and backwards?
Install MyPhone Explorer on your PC and your Android Phone.
That will do the trick..
You'll need a Google account anyway, so why not use one of the Outlook to Gmail synchronization tools? Contacts will then auto synch to your phone, and all via wireless.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
thank you both for your contribution
i think that gmail-outlook sync suits me best
Seems easier said than done though..
i cant seem to find this outlook-gmail synchronizer..
can someone link me please? (and remember, its an ANDROID 2.2/2.3 device, cuz in my search i saw that google's program does not support android)
thanks for any help
Foun this today and love it, active syncs with my oulook mail, contacts and clander perfect!
